i like to know that there is way to remove all data after unload swf .Calling Loader.unloadAndStop(); remove content and loaded bytes , but loaded classes stays in application domain .If i load it to separated new ApplicationDomain , gc is going to collect them after unload and remove all references ?
I have moved a web application from old domain to new domain. I cannot get Flash to engage. I have changed the domain in flash_images.php file to the new domain. I have a flash_box.swf file and I have a js file these are the only flash components that I see--old domain is e.g. www.example.com new domain is [URL]..I am not a flash developer, how do I get flash to work on the new domain?
I want to release my flash application not in release mode but in debug mode to see result of trace() after releasing the app.
I don't care that debug mode makes processing speed little slow.Except for processing speed, are there disadvantages to release flash application which was compiled in debug mode?Is it possible that the app throws exception or Flash Players of the app's users crash due to debug mode?
I just took over a clients flex project and I can't get the app to reflect even a simple trace statement. Before I took over, the project was last successfully built using the Flash Builder Beta 2 environment/sdk. I have the latest release version of Flash Builder 4.
Upon importing the project into FB4, I got a ton of errors. Most of them mostly because of the changes made to the sdk from beta2 to release.
Some of the things I corrected:
- mx namespace from [URL]
- video player skinning: a lot of the state names for the video player component had been changed, more required states had been added. also there were other video related component and property names that had to be updated.
But I fixed all that and the application was finally able to compile (although with some warnings mostly of the duplicate variable type)
The only thing now is that whatever change I make to the project doesn't get reflected in the build (debug or release). I changed existing traces, added additional traces. Nothing shows up. I even removed the applicationComplete property in the main.mxml. Everything still ran like nothing changed.
Also I can't seem to debug the app. Whenever I try to debug.. flash builder says.. "Swf Application doesn't contain the required debugging information ... "
i am trying to load swf from other domain in to my air application. but it gives security sandbox error and i use Security.allowInsecureDomain("*") and it work perfectly in normal Flash but Air gives another eror:
i have i problem with my slider. I followed this tutorial This tutorial dont take into account that the timeline should continue playing when the scrubbing is done, here is my as3 code:
I have a question about a TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: error. I'm loading a SWF into my application into a child domain of the parent SWF. I thought this was supposed to allow the 2 SWF's to share the class definitions?[code]...
I'm fine as long as I don't create the child domain, or what I think is the child domain. It's obviously the same class definition just with the "@23dr3" after it. I can load correctly if I set the context to the current domain or don't specify it at all.
I've been getting this following error -- when I'm loading a subsidiary SWF into a main one.The sub swf contains the overlays. OverlayOne is a subclass of Overlay.
Code: TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert OverlayOne@18684f89 to Overlay. at HSRawVideoPlayer/setCurrentOverLay()
I created some game and would like to let the users play it only on my domain, so to forbid to play it offline or put on some other site. Is there a way to do it? Somehow check domain or so?
i used systemManager.addEventListener in sub application...... it is working well....but when i load sub application into main application through swfloader it doesnot working..
I have recently uploaded my flex applicaiton on server, it works fine on my system (localhost) but on the production server it tries to access[URL]..which is not available and end up showing "loading" eternally.
Is it possible for an Adobe AIR application to connect to a remove webservice that does not expose a cross-domain.xml file? If so, how do you configure the security sandbox within Air to allow this?
I have attempted a socket connection and received the following error:
I've created a client with login acces in Flex. After the succesful login i have to show a table based on a mySQL server. The database is composed by some tables, and I have created 6 flex mxml components with each own scripts for each of those tables. How can i load sub-applications, for example with a PopUpButton or a TabBar in the main application?
public class MyApplicationMediator extends Mediator { [Inject][code].... So onRegister() gets called, but view is null. Also when I try to add the eventListeners I get a null reference error.
My application currently contains a number of Widgets that are managed by a Widget Manager. When the user clicks on a widget (e.g. a Helper widget), the Widget Manager loads the widget into a separate sibling application domain with the following line of code:
However, I am unable to use the widget's variables and functions later on. I attempt to find the Helper widget from the Widget Manager's list of widgets, and I do successfully. But when I try to caste the Helper Widget from type IBaseWidget (the interface all widgets share) to type HelperWidget, I receive the following error:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed.....
This is because the application domain of the class trying to use the Helper widget is different from the application domain of the Helper Widget. I tried to fix this by loading all widgets into the same application domain as the loader:
When I save a .fla on my macbook (snow leopard OS) the main Flash CS4 application toolbar (the one with the minimize, maximize, hide buttons on it) disappears after the save dialogue has gone.To get it back I have to re-launch the app.I have checked for software updates but nothing seems to be addressing this issue.
I have my main application, which contains several instances of a component that create a grid of photos belonging to a certain category. (the grids, and the photos are created dynamically with a loop).
I'd like to be able to click a photo to run a function that loads the large version of the photo into a separate element that is contained in the main application. So I created a Photo component in my main application, but how, using actionscript, do I change the 'currentphoto' variable in my main application from inside the tileview component?
Alternately I could put the function in the main application (probably more logical in the long run), but how would I call it from the child component?
Underlined Text On (rollOver) Is there an action script to do on (rollover) underline text? It would be on a button that would also, on (release) gotoAndPlay a frame. I know you can have a movie with AS like this:
[Code]....
But when I add the on (release) to the movie it doesnt advance the timeline on (release). And when I change the file to a button instead of a movie clip it doesnt do the underline on (rollOver).
post the code for a working cross-domain securityfile that allows access only from the same domain as all the flashfiles and xml files are in?used to be easy in as2 but i think i dont know what i need to know about it in as3..
We are running FMS3 on Windows 2003 Server. Videos stream and play fine when inside our domain, but outside the domain the videos take anywhere from 20 or more seconds before playing.
After analizing the connections it was determined that the player is randomly trying to access ports until it gets to the one that works, but this is ONLY happening from people trying to view videos from outside our domain.
I'm working on a small application that uses some throw physics to fling items around the stage. Everything is working as it should, apart from when I test it on my touch screen, the throw physics don't work. I've tried all sorts of things, in in those tests noticed that AS2 release and release outside do work on the screen perfectly, whereas mouse up and mouse out do not!
So, is there a way to emulate the AS2 mouse events in AS3, as I have to stick with AS3 this time.
I am new to Flex. I am trying to add a scroller in my main application/windows. Is that possible? I found out it is possible to add scoller bars in DataGrid, like horizontalScrollPolicy="on". How to implement it in containers like Group,Panel and etc?
I have a List with TextInput as item renderer. I want to get the value entered in the TextInput (form the TextInputItemRenderer) and pass it the main application to do some checks(upon tapping enter on the textInput -- see code below).
I know that we can do it thru dispatching event but I still don't understand how to pass a variable from the ItemRenderer to the main app.
So I'm using a custom auto suggest component that I found online at [url]... The background color for the item is set within the following folder[code]...
I use this component from within a component I created called "position.mxml" that is located in a folder named "modules". Is there any way that from the position module, I can change the background color of the autosuggest box?
I have created a spark titlewindow (using mxml component) which there I select some stuff and want it to get back to the Main application variables. For example, in the main application I have a var name currMaxPlayers:int and in the TitleWindows I have created a form which you can choose number of players, when selecting the number and then pressing submit button, I want the number that was selected to get back into the currMaxPlayers var in the MainApplication.I have followed the instructions here url... with no success.
I have an application with a SWF loader. From the loaded SWF file, I'm accessing public variables from the main application with this: [Bindable] public var global:Object = FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication; Alert.show(global.myvar); This all works perfect. I have a MXML skin file (for buttons) in a directory called 'skins' in the main application. Is it possible to use this skin in the child applications?
I've already tried this, unfortunately not working: [Bindable] public var global:Object = FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication; <s:Button label="My Text" skinClass="{global.skins.menuButtons}" /> And this, but then it can't compile anymore: [Bindable] public var global:Object = FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication; <s:Button label="Button 1" skinClass="global.skins.menuButtons" /> <s:Button label="Button 2" skinClass="FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.skins.menuButtons" /> Is it possible what I want in another way or do I have to copy the skin to the all the projects where I want to use the skin?
