Apr 28, 2011I setup Cruisecontrol to auto build a flex project every 1 hour using FlexAnt. The build itself works great - I can see when the project build fails/succeeds in the console perfectly well. But the cruisecontrol dashboard is not updated for the flex project.I have the sample connectfour project, and when it fails, I can see the red box for the project in the dashboard. This does not happen for my flex projects.

Aug 10, 2009I'm trying to implement a Dashboard using Abobe Flex which is fed from a Ruby on Rails application. The Dashboard will just display charts and tables which can be fed by JSON, XML etc. feeds.A User will need to login into the Flex frontend before they can view the Dashboard, so I have two main requirements for this to work:
1. A User can login via the Flex frontend, however Flex uses my Ruby on Rails application to perform the authentication
2. Gather data from feeds being provided by Ruby on Rails web application based on the User (id)Is this setup possible with Flex and Ruby on Rails?

Nov 4, 2009I am developing a IT Monitoring Dashboard for the company I work at. The system will primarily perform monitoring of files, databases and servers. There will be a small part of the system which will allow the users to configure static data about the system eg: file locations, server names etc...
So as the app. will be a dashboard a lot of the application will consist of publishing data to the flex client to update all the monitoring views. So there will be limited database activity ie: insert/update/deletes.

Professional :: Does Adobe Have A Tech Support Contact For Flash On Browsers?
Sep 16, 2010I am looking how to escalate to Adobe Tech Support but paying 29 bux an hour for some recruited college Grad that knows to little doesnt suit me.
Bought an HP Quad and it had Win7 home so poorly installed, configured, overloaded with junk, would not backup, when it did backup and create a repair disk they wouldnt restore. HP's preloaded Win7 build both IE8 and Firefox were crashing with both BSOD and Browsers not responding and dying. Firefox never responds to anything, Microsoft indicates is an add on problem but I think it can be a flash issue although it occurs much more on Wiin7 (ANY Version) for 32 or 64 bit. I have been screwing with this for a month screaming at Microsoft and Mozilla but its a waste of time.
Microsoft forums are polluted for Win7 browser BSOD and Browser halting then crashing posts, there answer is disable add-ons. I cant surf the net without add ons so that is a stupid reponse of finger pointing, giving appearance that Msoft, Adobe and Mozilla dont communicate. No company will take ownership and drive the issue to find the root cause and where ever that cause is make them fix it, Msfot, Adobe of Firefox. so what do ya do?
The HP PC with horrible preload of win7 finally died and killed the build but Microsoft was equally useless in helping me repair that preloaded junk even though the OS is theres. I BOUGHT real disks because HP couldnt support the mess - HP couldnt support chewing food let alone the mess they place on PC's with 90% asian parts with old drivers. Eleven escaltions starting on DAY 1 of ownership of a Pavilion. Hundreds of crash dump error reports sent to Firefox has still gone unresponsed, as they employ the 5th ammendment ,method of silence without support and Msoft remove all add on is laughable but proves HP. Firefox and MicroSoft wont assume responsibilty.
This sucks as all three gloat and boast about a HIGH levels of support and awards won for support but it is all myth, and laughably a lie but I still want it repaired. 28 years in IT - retired I feel qualififed to make the observation.
I never attempted to contact Adobe but I get redirected after seeing the warning about 39 bucks an hour to answer a phone for a freeware add-on.
Does anyone know of have a escalation path to a real person at adobe or department beause tthis site redirects from the ASK Adobe Support link meaning I cant even mail a question to then, Already a BAD sign but the driver is free, but they wrote, and millions are having issue so where is there support - Why bother writing the addon if people cant even ask a question.
So does any know if they support the flash add-on without charging? a Glitch they might want to know about is flash 10.0.0.1 shows in Win7 Event logs as version 0.0.0.1 and I have logs showing that an addon report from the DEP (Data Execution Service) saw an add-on go to a non executalbe memory region whenthe only add-on I have is flash.
Google for IE8 Browser Crash 566,500, Win7 Browser crash 1,500,000, Firefox crashing 587,000, Firefox flash crash 1,420,000, Adobe flash crash 1,820,000, are 4,615,500 google posts found for one issue and I know there are more than that failing but Im sick of the whole thing so adobe is my last gasp. Please respond if you have a fix or path to escalate to adobe.

Jun 10, 2004Obviously these are just two sample movies made to learn a concept. with the menu i just need to know how to make it shoot out, display the buttons, then if one clicks on the contract button, make it contract again. with the selective looping. ever had a movie that has a beginning then loops just the body. well thats what im trying to accomplish there. i know it must have something to do with tell target or gotoAndPlay. make the fade white to green part the begining (one time play unless one refreshes), then the up down motion loop (sos it looks like it's hovering). lastly, can neone help me out with a few mousetrails.

I can trace both newFiles[i] and keywords[i][whatever], but the replace doesn't replace anything. The regex is valid as well. I'm using regexr to test it, and it works perfectly there... but will not for me and I don't know why.

I've tried running the example given on the Adobe site, so I know the value I'm trying to replace ("%20") isn't at fault - it's something about the string I have! I've included the code below, but it seems correct. Is there a particular tip I should know when taking XML values into AS3? I'm putting them in strings for this project.

Replace A Dynamic Image On Flex?
Apr 14, 2011I am creating an image dynamically on flex. This images changes (as in changes image source) when the user clicks on it. Images are PNG format and I replace it with this code:
img.source = PATH_TO_IMAGE;
The problem with this is when I replace the image is it is not smooth even if you set the image property to smoothBitmapContent.
Is there a way to smoothen images when you are trying to replace the source?

Mar 2, 2011I am embedding a website into my application, and Adobe Air does not recognize the breakline HTML tag in the source code (Firefox and Chrome auto-correct the error). I have attached the source code below. Is there a way to replace the breakline with the correct syntax (no forward slash). I do not control the website, I am merely loading it into my application, so I can't just change it at the source. I am using an mx: html object and htmlLoader to load the url.

Jan 26, 2011i have a Flex tree control and im trying to select a tree node 3 levels down right after the dataProvider is assigned with a collection object like the following.basically treeItem1, treeItem2, treeItem3 are the nodes in the tree and treeitem3 is a child of treeItem2 which is a child of treeItem1. Assume these treeItem(1,2,3) are referenced correctly from the collection items.
my problem is that if i wait for the whole component to load completely then select the nodes, it open/select/scrolltoIndex correctly. However, if i were to select the node right after the dataProvider is assigned, then it doesn't even open or select (basically the this.treeService.selectedItem is always null).
