I want to export the data kept in an actionscript array as a text/CSV file. I have searched and found a few that did datagrid to excel exports but they are complicated and confusing
I have an array collection of strings and integers (which I have displayed in a data grid) and I am wondering if it is possible to export the array collection into an html table? or even a text file for the user to download
I found some pages that had an export to .xls files but I want to stray away from that for now.
Is there a way to export Table data to a MIME Resource(Flex3 component) from Web Dynpro?
I have a flex3 component(US heat Map) which accepts a arrayCollection (state and value pairs). I need to create a webdynpro wrapper for this to use in Visual Composer 7.2.
What I am trying to do is migrate the flex components I made for Visual Composer 7.0 (using a VCXL wrapper) to Visual Composer 7.2 using web Dynpro. I have managed to migrate components which require simple input data types like integer or string, but I am stuck at those which require complex structures like an array collection.
I have an xml file (externally saved) that is similar to the following:
[root] [main] [title]...[/title]
[Code]....
What I like to do is to get what's in [title] tag using HTTPservice, import it into Flex, and save it as array objects, and do the same thing for [content]. This way I can later refer the array object saying title[0] or content[2].
My data grid is displaying stale data, rather than the real time data available in it's data provider (array collection). I've tried refeshing the data in the collection, but that has no effect. Below is my code, does anyone see what could be the problem?
When I try to export my application to native installer with using Export Build Release, it isn't importing my sqlite database files which are in my application directory. Is there a way that I can import those database files ?
I have a flex webapp that retrieves some names & addresses from a database. Project works fine but I'd like to make it faster. Instead of making a call to the database for each name request, I could pre-load all names into an array & filter the array when the user makes a request. Before I go down this route though I wanted to check if it is even feasible to have an application w/ 50,000 or 1 million elements in an array? What is the limit b/f it slows down the app? (I anticipate that it will have a lot to do w/ what else is going on in my app but for this sake lets just assume the app ONLY consists of this huge array).
I have a datagrid that uses an array of objects as the data provider. The objects are essentially key/value pairs:
{ foo:"something"} { bar:"hello"} { caca:"lorem"}
The datagrid has 2 columns. The first column is the key and the second column is the value. Right now my grid looks like:
My dataFormatter function makes sure that depending on the column (i.e. the dataField value) the correct key or value gets printed out. This works fine for displaying. However, as soon as I try and edit the value field it essentially adds a new value into the object with a key of '1'. For example, if I edit the {caca:"lorem"} object it will then contain the value {caca:"lorem",1:"new value"}.
Is there any possible way I can set the DataGridColumn so that when I edit a value it will update the value associated with the key rather than inserting a new value? I've tried using a custom item editor but it still does the insert. It seems like I need to be able to update the 'dataField' with the actual key value but I'm not sure how to do that.
I am building an application in Flex Builder 3. Yes, I know that it has an auto-magic feature to build datasheet, but that will not work. I see many Flex controls, such as combo box, can take an array as a data source.
My question, therefore, is (1) How do I send the request from my action script to my PHP form to request a record set. (2) Presuming that my dataset is in a PHP assoc array, how do I format it to send it back to Action Script. (3) How do I take the data received from the recordset, and put it inot an actionscript array, suitable for use as a data source.
I can connect to my database in PHP, and query it just fine, so I don't need help with that. For consistency, and humor, lets presume that I have the following data in an assoc array that I pulled from a database.
I think I must be missing a step here; I have different data being pulled from an array created from xml depending on a variable (_currentTrackNum).. and the data changes if I set a different initial value for it; but if I change the variable once the program is initialized, none of the data changes even though I rerun the call with the changed variable.[code]
Just like in title i know how to load(import) data from xml to datagrid, but don't know how to save(export) it into another xml, i know i will have to use php file to save it, but how to export.
I'm creating a Flash game that will be placed in a Sharepoint page. Is there a way to export data from the Flash game (ex: the user's score) to a different Sharepoint page? I'd like to display the high scores of different players in Sharepoint. Note: I'm using ActionScript 2.0 So here is the sequence of events... Player completes Flash game embedded in a Sharepoint page Flash exports player's score to Sharepoint database Second Sharepoint page displays top ten player scores from database.
Do flash 3D display engines such as Papervision allow data to be exported from the swf to a php back end and vice versa (PHP into model)? Does Unity allow for this?
If I was to build a simple 'change the colour of the model' application with a UI in a 3D package such as Papervision, could I then export the user choices to php or perhaps a javascript intermediary?
I am making a flash survey using AS3. All of the input data is stored in variables. At the end of the variables i want to export all of the variables to a Excel file. Is that possible? If not than how can i export the data? I have never exported data in flash so i have no idea what to do
I want to subset an array. I have the following array
[Code]...
Now based on user requirement I want to select a range of sell data for some month. For example sometime it may be sells data from Apr to Dec,sometime may be Jul-Oct.How can I do that without hampering the original array
how much memory (and swf size) the various built-in data types take up in actionscript 3? I'm specifically interested in int, Number, and (dense) Arrays or Vectors. I'm working on a project where I need to embed large amounts of structured array data, which is already in C++ format, so porting is just a matter of copy-paste, search-replace. I've already had a look at Adobe's lowdown on datatypes but it's not specific enough, and doesn't mention Arrays, etc.
Is it possible to export an array of images to some sort of movie animation? The array has bitmaps that I would like to be exported to some sort of video fileIt could be gif, avi, swf, mov, or anything really
I am really new to php. I have an AS3 file which records user inputted data and stores them in variables. The only thing i know how to do is how to email those variables using .php. Well I want to be able to export the data to a csv file from the flash file and later want to import it back to the flash file.
How do I set up my drag and drop questionaire to export to a XML file?
I have a 70 seperate SWF files that pose a question and contain a drag and drop rank order response of 1,2,3,4.How do I set up a XML file that receives the responses.I don't understand how to do the Actionscript and get my responses to connect to the XML.
I want a comboBox that will allow the user to select what colour palette they want the application to have. I am using a comboBox to do this and want to have a function with arguments as the data in the comboBox item. I've managed to do it and pass arguments but these are running when the comboBox is set up. I only want the function to run when the user presses the submit button. How can I prevent the function from running on set up? Here is my code:
Plus, my movie is taking ages to submit, even though there is nothing on the stage. There are components in the library though. Would this cause it to take about 5 seconds to export to swf?
The game will be on a school VLE (virtual learning environment) like 'Moodle'. Can you export to email? Spreasheet? Or can it only be done with php? Do not want to be spending weeks on it!
Is there anyway to export JSON data to CSV/Excel without any interaction with the server side? Using Javascript only? or Flash? I'm currently using ZeroClipboard to copy the value into the clipboard but I'd like to open directly the generated value into Excel from the browser (FF, Chrome, IE, etc...).
I wrote an app using adobe flash builder that makes an http data service call to a website.
When I build and launch the app it loads in my browser (the address in the broswer is C:Userspath omyapp.html) and works perfectly. However, when I upload the app to my website or even launch it from outside the project build directory, the HTTP service call fails with the popup
Of course I googled this error and realized it may have something to do with a 'crossdomain.xml' in my web root directory. I tried this and it continued to fail. Below was my crossite domain file
