Is there a way to adjust the rasterising of a vector based displayobject? my problem is this: I create a textfield for example, and after moving it to z = -400 the whole text will look horrible (just like a low quality jpeg or so) as it comes closer to the viewport. I already know the vector shapes gets rasterized as soon the z value is set but there should be at least a way how it is done!?
I'm looking for a program that will lip sync a character to audio, and export it a vector to be impoerted into Flash. The character needs to be able to be animated as well.
Site Pal is close to what I'm looking for, but I need to be able to control the animation. The characters need to be able to interact with each other and change costumes
We have some very complex animations that, for performance reasons, we want to have them be bitmaps at runtime..
For example, maybe i can write a jsfl script to copy each frame and paste it into a new .fla as a png instead of as vector art, but I haven't explored that option much.
I'm trying to make an online swf where the user can manipulate an image and in the end print it (for simplicity let's say I got a booth and people use my computer one after the other).
My problem is that the printer dialog that pops up when I wish to print really ruines the user experience. First of all I was wondering in it's possible to disable the print dialog box and make the app to print from the defualt printer (or some other way to choose the printer).
Secondly I thought about exporting the MovieClip I wish to print through dot net save the file and then print with javascript. The problem here is that beacause the file I save is not a vector type (I save as jpg or bmp) the print result really doesn't look good.
I create using actionscript to draw dynamic shapes
shape1 = new Shape(); shape2 = new Shape();
and draw some complicated things with actionscript that is done dynamically by user input
I need to save/export the drawing ,these shape as some kind of vector file so this drawing can be manipulated later on by vector program as flash or illustrator
I want to export the data kept in an actionscript array as a text/CSV file. I have searched and found a few that did datagrid to excel exports but they are complicated and confusing
want to know if it is possible to create a vector basedfile (PDF) from a web based Flash application. The applicationwould be a 'Design it yourself' type deal, it would just be a fancytext generator. All this will be designed by the user using theflash application . What I want to know is once the user has finished designingtheir text, can this 'creation' then be exported as preferably aPDF, or Jpg, etc. once the user submits the design?
I'm working on some generative art projects in AS3, and I keep running into problems with the quality limits of bitmaps. They're not scalable or editable the way vectors are. Is there a class or library that I can use to take a Sprite object's graphics and export them into SVG format? Other common vector formats are also acceptable.
Edit: Note that I'm using FlashDevelop and not Adobe Flash CS.
Is there a way to export Table data to a MIME Resource(Flex3 component) from Web Dynpro?
I have a flex3 component(US heat Map) which accepts a arrayCollection (state and value pairs). I need to create a webdynpro wrapper for this to use in Visual Composer 7.2.
What I am trying to do is migrate the flex components I made for Visual Composer 7.0 (using a VCXL wrapper) to Visual Composer 7.2 using web Dynpro. I have managed to migrate components which require simple input data types like integer or string, but I am stuck at those which require complex structures like an array collection.
When I try to export my application to native installer with using Export Build Release, it isn't importing my sqlite database files which are in my application directory. Is there a way that I can import those database files ?
I have an array collection of strings and integers (which I have displayed in a data grid) and I am wondering if it is possible to export the array collection into an html table? or even a text file for the user to download
I found some pages that had an export to .xls files but I want to stray away from that for now.
Is it possible to convert facebook data (ex. user_pic) into a DisplayObject so I can be easier to manipulate? What I m trying to do is when users do FacebookConnect in my site to let them have the possibility to scale their image (like transform tool usage) before submit it in a gallery.
Below is basic structure of LetterClip class which extends WMovieClipwhich inreturns extends Movieclip Class.

I tried to write a function that inserts values into a Vector. After writing my first function, I started to notice some strange results. Sometimes, the Vector appeared to lose values for no reason. My original code looked like this:
Specific to Flash Professional CS5. With its export options greatly reduced, there seems to be no way to make Flash graphics accessible by other programs. Is there any workaround?Currently, Flash can output two kinds of vector images: SWF and FXG, neither of which seem to be importable by most applications, including Fireworks and Illustrator (which write to FXG but not read from it), and Catalyst doesn't seem to write to anything other than what Builder uses. In other words, I know no way to export Flash files to vector formats (besides using Flash CS4).
I have displayobject with vector and image data And I am trying to scale it in order to get big jpeg out of it with JPGEncoder.The thing is that once I am resample it using the Bitmap class (Matrix) and with draw method it's getting pixelated.How can I take a container with vector graphic and bitmap image and rescale it to bitmapdata without getting things pixled.This is the displayobject:The image in the center is high resolution image which I resize and all the other elements are vector graphic.Since the image is high resolution and all the other elements are vectors if I just call the scaleX property of the displayobkect it increase the contenier size and it all looks very good. But if I want to take a bitmap data out of it it's look terrible, The fonts getting pixelated and even the photo.I will like to know it there is a way to do it without getting things pixelated.
I would like to use an Illistrator file as a repetitivepattern for the background of my flash web site.I couldn't find any pointer in the documentation.
I'm looking for a way to take SVG path info (basically a string of coordinates) and dynamically draw it with Actionscript. Icing on the cake would be if those shapes could detect mouse events to trigger JS and dynamically change their appearance (fill, stroke, etc...).
I'm currently trying something similar to this ([URL]) using SVG but it's just too slow in IE. I've also tried Google's SVG Web ([URL]) which basically does exactly what I'm looking for (it converts SVG to Flash in IE) but again, it's sloooooow - which is why I'm considering doing the whole shebang in Flash.
Typically you create a Vector (strongly typed array) specifying a data type like:
new Vector<PictureBox>();
However I need to create a utility method that should be able to create a vector of any given datatype. Is it possible to specify a type using a variable instead of hard-coding it?
Just like in title i know how to load(import) data from xml to datagrid, but don't know how to save(export) it into another xml, i know i will have to use php file to save it, but how to export.
I'm creating a Flash game that will be placed in a Sharepoint page. Is there a way to export data from the Flash game (ex: the user's score) to a different Sharepoint page? I'd like to display the high scores of different players in Sharepoint. Note: I'm using ActionScript 2.0 So here is the sequence of events... Player completes Flash game embedded in a Sharepoint page Flash exports player's score to Sharepoint database Second Sharepoint page displays top ten player scores from database.
Do flash 3D display engines such as Papervision allow data to be exported from the swf to a php back end and vice versa (PHP into model)? Does Unity allow for this?
If I was to build a simple 'change the colour of the model' application with a UI in a 3D package such as Papervision, could I then export the user choices to php or perhaps a javascript intermediary?
I am making a flash survey using AS3. All of the input data is stored in variables. At the end of the variables i want to export all of the variables to a Excel file. Is that possible? If not than how can i export the data? I have never exported data in flash so i have no idea what to do
