Then it relays them back to flash using echo command.Now i need my flash swf to generate a table with all the matches using collumns for each piece of data.When i tried to do it, it only showed the last match and that was it...How do i make it generate a full table?

Jun 17, 2010I am working on a function to generate a form at runtime in Flex based on a call to the DB. The call to the DB returns the field types, id, tooltips etc as an arraycollection, the arraycollection is then parsed in order to ascertain what control to display based on the type field in the array - this bit works fine.However, i am stuck on trying to save the form fields back to the database using a CFC.my form rendering code is as follows but how do i save values entered back to the database? rendering code..

Nov 4, 2011I can't seem to generate any output when including the "link-report" compiler commands in Flash Builder 4.5. I've tried several different syntaxes that I've seen online:
-linkreport filename.xml
-link-report=filename.xml
-link-report C:fullpathfilename.xml
-link_report filename.xml
But absolutely nothing gets created when I run, build, or debug the project. Other application settings perhaps? The project is relatively young and doesn't have many custom settings so I'm thinking it is maybe application or config related?
Java :: Hibernate Joins Every Table In Database
Aug 2, 2010I've set up a small project as a test. I'm using BlazeDS and JPA with Hibernate on my test server, and flex with with dpHibernate to access the Java entities. Each Java entity extends BaseEntity, a class that contains ID and UUID fields. The Flex entities are created by DTO2FX.
when I run the Flex project to try and display a few rows from a Users entity, the SQL that is actually being executed is joining every table in my database. This continues until I get java.lang.StackOverflowError. This behavior is completely unexpected, and I'm not really sure where to look to fix the problem.

Apr 22, 2008I am basically having a problem in submiting the users score and name to the database table. When the user reaches the final score screen they are shown two dynamic text boxes that display there total result and a input text box where the user can enter their name. I have done everything and it still don't work. I know I can receive the data but I don't get why it doesn't submit it to my table.
The input text box has a instance name of "playername"
Score total dynamic text box 1 "correct_total"
Score total dynamic text box 2 "wrong_total"

Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.

Oct 6, 2009I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?

Jul 7, 2009I'm trying to figure out how to generate an array whose elements are each arrays to make a quick loading database of sorts.the main array could essentially be something like "employees" while each employee would have demographic data like age, salary, gender, etc.In some cases the information on some employees would be greater than others, and options created by "push" would imply the number of elements within each employee array would be variable until generated.[code]But I get the feeling this type of array as it is currently described doesn't lend itself well to adding new elements in the way I've described.My goal is once an employee's information has been entered and saved, I can call up their info by array number like aEmployee[2], and if employee 2's name is Bob, then Bob's name would appear in the text field, along with all the other fields related to Bob's array, such as being male, 42 years old, and living in Witchita Kansas.Would I modify a multidimensional array, or do I want an array within an array, and is there a way to add "arrays" as elements?

Also, has anybody done anything like this?
Edit: The synchronisation can be done on a daily basis rather than real time. The data will be read only from a front end perspective with a CMS to do updates on the website.

Jun 7, 2010I have researched this issue all over and most people say use the .refresh() method to update a datagrid after updating or adding a new record. This does not do anything. So, my issue is this. I have a mySQL database hosted I am connecting via PHP, I have 1 mxml file and 2 php files (I know I can use just 1 but I am learning and this was easier for me to use for troubleshooting). The issue is no matter what I change on the datagrid the update does not show on the datagrid unless I close out of IE and reopen it. I can refresh or open the page in another window and the update does not show. I have to exit entirely and restart in order for any updates or additions to show.Here is my licenseTracker.mxml

I am new to Flex and have an issue I hope you all can help me out with.

Create A Builder Form To Change A Flashmenu?
Jul 24, 2010As you will see I do not have too much idea about flash. My question is about "builder forms" for flash. I think that a builder form is a form where people/customers fill it up and then there would be a new page in my site according to her/his information.
Example: When you want to sell something on ebay, you will choose different options: name, prices, pictures, categories, etc. Then, according to this on ebay there will be displayed that I would like to do the same, however, I would like to change a flash menu and htm with the option from my form.
