Flex :: Correct The Objection About Dymanic Object Type By FlexPMD?
Nov 21, 2011
I have the code in one of my flex file used as labelFunction in a DataGrid.When I run the FlexPMD to do the code review, it generates an objection about the dynamic type object used in the following method signature and it suggests to use strongly type object.
public function getFormattedCreatedTime(item:Object, column:DataGridColumn):String {
var value:Date=item[column.dataField];
return dateFormatter.format(value);[code]....
I have a tree with nodes , and a delete button , first user select the node and click this delete button , I want this node to be removed from the tree , Its not XML , every node in tree is of type Object
{label:'folder',children:[{label:'file1'}]}
I tried delete myTree.selectedItem (but compiler wont let me do it) also tried myTree.selectedItem = null (just unselects the item)and also how can I access reference to parent object of myTree.selectedItem ?
Here's the example: var cartesian:CartesianChart = new CartesianChart(); cartesian.width = 100; var column:ColumnChart = new ColumnChart(); column = cartesian as ColumnChart; Why does this not work? "column" ends up null. ColumnChart is a derived class of CartesianChart, so I would have thought I'd end up with a ColumnChart with a width of 100.
1118: Implicit coercion of a value with static type Object to a possibly unrelated type flash.geom:Rectangle.I got this error coming from the bold words when I tried to use this AS2 code in my AS3 stage. I'm currently trying to convent an AS2 printing of DataGrid to AS3. [code].....
I'm in the beginning stages of trying to understand AS3.Flash is outputting these two errors:1118: Implicit coercion of a value with static type Object to a possibly unrelated type Function.1120: Access of undefined property event_obj.
I have a Flex tree control that holds a tree full of various types of objects. I'd like to change the label of the item based on this type (and other properties). I'd prefer to do this in a custom TreeItemRenderer rather than via label or labelfunction.It seems that whatever I do, I cannot typecheck nor cast the objects and thus I get [Object object] in the nodes of my tree. Here is my renderer:
public class MyCustomTreeItemRenderer extends TreeItemRenderer { // Overriding to set the text for each tree node. override protected function updateDisplayList(unscaledWidth:Number,
I have a a structure like this: e.item.fatturato_ac_s1 e.item.fatturato_ac_s2 e.item.fatturato_ac_s3 e.item.fatturato_ac_s4 [...] and so on...
In order to compute dynamically the string I wrote: e.item.(myStr.toString()) where myStr (type string) = "fatturato_ac_s" + Index (so I can have fatturato_ac_s1, fatturato_ac_s2, ...) I can correctly retrieve the value of e.item.(myStr.toString()) (a numeric value), but if I try to put it in a variable I get the error in the title: myVariable = e.item.(myStr.toString()) myVariable is a Number.
I also tried: myVariable = Number(e.item.(myStr.toString())) But doesn't work... the same if I try String to String....
I keep getting the following error msg below I would be very happy if some knows the solution to this: Error Msg: 1118: Implicit coercion of a value with static type Object to a possibly unrelated type flash.events:Event Object A dispatches Event as:
My application currently contains a number of Widgets that are managed by a Widget Manager. When the user clicks on a widget (e.g. a Helper widget), the Widget Manager loads the widget into a separate sibling application domain with the following line of code:
However, I am unable to use the widget's variables and functions later on. I attempt to find the Helper widget from the Widget Manager's list of widgets, and I do successfully. But when I try to caste the Helper Widget from type IBaseWidget (the interface all widgets share) to type HelperWidget, I receive the following error:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed.....
This is because the application domain of the class trying to use the Helper widget is different from the application domain of the Helper Widget. I tried to fix this by loading all widgets into the same application domain as the loader:
I get this error when compiling an AS3/Flex project: Error 1118: Implicit coercion of a value with static type Object to a possibly unrelated type HRPeople I've clearly declared dataHR_A to be of class HRPeople, and I've initialized all of the arrays inside the HRPeople.as file. Not sure why I'm getting this error.
So I started using FlexPMD for static code analysis, and I want to add it to my team's build process. I have it running nicely from a shell script, and can view the results by clicking a button and uploading the desired (pmd.xml) output file in the Violations Viewer that comes with it (note there is also one online here: [URL]
But I'd like to view the results directly without having to take the extra step of clicking the upload button. I imagine there is some black magic URL parameter that works, but (if so) what is it? This site:
Im trying to connect a Flash client to BlazeDS. There has been some success with this from others using the vanilla BlazeDS setup. However I'm using the new Spring BlazeDS Integration from springsource and running aground. The flash client actually seems to be working in that I can see the correct data in the body of the returned object, but for some reason unknown it fails casting as an IMessage. It fails in PollingChannel.as on this line with the subject line error
var messageList:Array = msg.body as Array; for each (var message:IMessage in messageList) <--
On application load I register a whole bunch of classes like so
var channelSet:mx.messaging.ChannelSet = new mx.messaging.ChannelSet(); var channel:mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel = new AMFChannel("my-amf", "http://localhost:8400/SpringA/messagebroker/amf"); channelSet.addChannel(channel);
[code]....
I have a flex client which works 100% with same destination/channel.
1. How to make display a TextInput (UI componant) text in a dynamic text box?
2. I've got 5 TextInput fields, when I press TEB (keyboard) always the next Input text box is highlighted in glowing green. Can this be changed to any other color?
There is a chance to change the color of de MC dynamic?example, I make it of the yellow color, and for param of my HTML I would change for blue or red or....,and it for change the color of my dynamic text of black color for red ou blue in my param in my HTML?
how do i print a dynamic text. i.e I have a main.swf movie that loads external.swf within external.swf there is a text box with a scroll bar and i need to add a print command that prints only that text field the code that i added to a buttons looks something like this
I am going mental with this one. I have a dynamic text field on one layer, and action layer on top of that. Render text as html on, and needed characters embedded.
Code: System.useCodepage = true; var format = new TextField.StyleSheet();
there is a problem with IE browser it does not recognize object HTMLEmbedElement and not proceed for further execution . i have no choice because there is nothing to be updated in programming code
I'm building a class for a data grid that creates everything dynamically, and allows the user to add buttons to a cell easily. If the user defines a height for the dataGrid that's smaller than the content, the content is cropped and a scrollbar is added. Now here's where my problem occurs. Once the content is masked, and you then try to access the .height property of the dataGrid, it will return the height of the dataGrid + the masked content.So I added a get/set override function for the .height property. Now this works, but only if I'm constantly updating the height as I create my dataGrid. What I'm curious about, is how (when the properties aren't overridden) when you add a child to a MovieClip, it's .height property is updated automatically? For example if you have
ActionScript Code: var par:MovieClip = new MovieClip(); // each Cell is 20px tall. var cell1:Cell = new Cell(); var cell2:Cell = new Cell(); par.addChild(cell1); par.addChild(cell2); trace(par.height);
The .height will equal 40px. Is there a set somewhere inside addChild that updates the .height property, or is there a different way that they do it? Basically I'd like to override the .height property after a certain amount of the dataGrid is built (to compensate for the difference in masked content height), but since the override happens from the very beginning, I'd like to know if there's a better way of setting my MCs height rather than constantly setting it as I build the grid. Or better yet, is there a way to get the proper height of an object that contains masked content without having to override the height?
I'm getting a large JSON string and decoding it into an object, i'm looping through this object to create the interface. The problem is it seems to build the interface in a random order, is this because actionscript 3 loops through the properties of the object randomly?
I'm working on writing a tweening class in as2 that has a callback variable and I can't seem to find a good way to get the scope without specifically passing in a scope variable as well. This tweening class needs to work in classes as well as on the timeline. Here's what my codes looks like right now.params.scope[ params.onComplete ]( params.onCompleteParams );params is an object passed into the class. This works but I don't want to have params.scope in there.
The title might be a little misleading. Look at my code and I will explain
public static function loadTile(tileDir:String = "empty"):void { if(tileDir != "empty") { tPoint = new Point(0,0); tRect = new Rectangle(0,0,30,30);
[Code]...
I am trying to do tiling with sprites. I want my tiles to be interactive, so that is why I am using the sprite object instead of using regular bitMaps to represent my tiles. You might be wondering why I wouldnt just use graphics.beginBitmapFill(tImage); and graphics.drawRect(0, 0,tWidth ,tHeight ); to pick out the tiles I want to use. Well reason being is because it turns out that drawRect() first and second parameters actually alter the location of where the actual sprite sits at.
So if I set the x and y properties of the sprite to x = 20, and y = 20. then I set my drawRect(20,20). it actually adds an extra 20 pixels to my x and y coords of my sprite. And I know the reason why, I just need to know a better way.
When you initialize a new object, how can that class have access to a variable from the parent?In this case Blob needs to be able to access scale?[code]
