Flex :: Create Table Like Structure With Rows As Text Inputs

I want to create a table like structure in Flex, with labels as header. The rows entries might be a check box or a text input box,Like give below.[code]Or can I create a data grid and have text input boxes or check boxes as column values?
I've recently just started delving into both actionscript and flex...the main reason being I like to create a sortable datagrid or datagroup like thishere you click the main entry that already has some detail and the row expands to show more.It might be possible to do with an itemrenderer but for the life of me I cant seem to find any tutorial or source or demo that doesn't assume you already know what to do with the itemrenderer since you cant just drop them in and have them work it seems.
I want to check there are no records in an existing sqlite table:[code]The customer table exists but is empty. While running it flex gives this error on result.length:Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
I'm using Flex 4 and I need to render the data that resembles HTML Table with row span in a Flex component.My inclination was to use a DataGrid but I believe that rowSpan is not supported for that component. I looked at the AdvancedDataGrid but the user does not want to have a tree-structure in any of the columns. Looking to see if there are any hints/tips for modifying the DataGrid or AdvancedDataGrid to produce an "HTML Table with rowspan" look.
I want to take any Text sting and form from it text formed by particles in actionscript 3 (In flash flex) I see I need some lib for this. but all libs Ive seen do not have such functionalyty by default...

I want to make a search button on my site. I have a bunch of pdf files in a specific location on my site. I want to create a search field where the end user inputs text into a field and flash locates and opens the corresponding pdf file.
I have a custom component which contains many promptingTextInput controls. When i click a button, I want the text field of all the promptingTextInputs to become blank. (Note: I have around 60 promptingTextInputs) How do i access the controls dynamically ? I am looking for a flex equivalent of $('input[type=text]') (like in jquery).
I am trying to create a script, where the user inputs a maths equation (something simple like 5 + 2 * 10), I have managed to break down the text into an array and have the numbers in one array and the symbols in another, I wanted the computer to then work it out, however I cant seem to think of how to do this and the methods that I have tried have failed.there is one dynamic box and the value of that is then broken down by an array split(" "), however this leaves the values in an array and it is percieved as a string not a number and so when i try to work it outit just displays 5 * 10, how would i get it to work that out?
I am trying to create a quote estimator on my website. I want to create forms in flash that can take inputs (numbers) from the user and then automatically calculate the values by mutliping certain forms and and then totaling them up.
The total value does not need to be saved. No database is required.
I have a form with 3 input fields: Name, Email Address, and Contact Number. These have the following instance names: iFullname, iEmail, iContact When the user clicks submit, I need to store this data and then call it later into another form. There are 3 input fields with the same instance names as the first form.This form is in an external movie loaded into the main movie where the original data was stored.
I have an array collection of strings and integers (which I have displayed in a data grid) and I am wondering if it is possible to export the array collection into an html table? or even a text file for the user to download
I found some pages that had an export to .xls files but I want to stray away from that for now.
I'm kinda new to flash but i managed to create a structure of my website, do frame break ups, do layers and frames for content and so on.The thing is, when i create a text box, convert it to a button and, use a goto option and select the frame i want it to go to...nothing happens. Design view clearly shows that it's a button but when i played a test movie, buttons didn't work at all. I could highlight them but that's about it. Even when i click on them nothing happens.I tried publishing in HTML but no luck either.I use flash 10 with actionscript 2.0 in Adobe Flash CS4.[code]
I'd like to know what is the best way for me to create a bones structure on a simple stickman. I've tried various ways but cannot get the hang of it and I'm usually stuck with unable to add a limb or something other, below is a simple representation of my stickman. I want all joints on the body to be movable, including both feet and the head. I just don't know where to start. My best so far was attempting to start at the hips and move up to the neck and then the head second but that didn't work out.
Im trying to create 4 rows of 16 buttons/boxes...Ive been reading up about 2d arrays in my javascript book and have tried this but Im getting a problem about the property length not found on a number, etc.Initially, I had a for loop running from 0 to 16 which created a row of 16 buttons, then they were being pushed into an array. Now I want to create 4 rows of 16 buttons and hopefully push them somehow into a 2d array.

I need the user to type something into a text block anything at all they just have to type something.If they wright something into the text block then the button should be able to play.Here is what I have but it does not work.

Does any one know of an article's on the element's / structure needed to create a flash , php , MySQL cms ? I failed to mention flash would be the GUI for the CMS
I seem to run into compile issues in Flash Builder when I import 3rd-party libraries at the wrong level in the directory structure. For example, sometimes I'll import a library one level too deep into its directory tree, and the package explorer ends up excluding the prefix root-level package, usually "com." or "net.". Even though the content of the source itself doesn't change, this will cause compile errors.
Thus: Is it a 1) convention or 2) language requirement that a class's package structure (e.g., "foo.bar.Class") must match its path location (e.g., foo/bar/Class.as)? If it's a language requirement, why is it a requirement? Wouldn't that overdetermine the package structure, since it is already specified in the source code and quite happily consuming the first three to eight columns of each line? If it's not a language requirement, are my compile errors just a result of Flash Builder enforcing the convention?
I made all the corrections in my code and got a working one. But what I really want to do is not adding texts into one text field. I need to get the numbers which is written by users into text boxes and then use their inputs to make some calculations. (Like 3+6=9 ). When I assign numbers to variables Ican easily make calculations but what I really want is not that. the numbers should be entered by these text boxes. I think need to change "string" to "number" but when I do this I get error message. I am planning to use the calculation result in some other part of my code. I am wondering if using "return" function useful for me to get the number (the result) of calculation?
Whenever I try to create more than one table in actionscript, only the first one gets run.I've been using a string for my query or embedding an external file with the SQL code, and every time AS seems to ignore everything after the first.Perhaps this is a feature of Actionscript and how it deals with databases and adding each table is a separate query, but is there a way to get around this? I like the idea of having my whole db CREATE statement set in one contained place.
I have a dynamic text field which is rendering html and pulling in CDATA text from from an external xml file.I would like to create a simple table within the CDATA field... like this:
Code: <![CDATA[ <table> <tr>[code].........
I tried this, but it didn't work... I looked in to this and read that I could not use the <table> tag within a CDATA tag.Is there any way around this? Or is there a an alternative way to achieve what I am attempting to do?
I am trying to implement find functionality in my application and for this I am trying to open a find popup based on keyboard inputs like F3 or CTRL + F. But on F3, instead of going to event listener, it opens up the default find toolbar of the Internet Explorer instead. how I could bypass it and use f3 in my application?
Another thing is how do I capture CTRL + F in flex?
