Flex :: Extend A Panel To Allow CornerRadius Per Corner?
Apr 27, 2010
It looks like the "cornerRadius" property of a Panel only changes the top corners and bottom if using a ControlBar. I'd like to specify a corner radius for each of the corners individual.
I know Degrafa can do this but I'd like to avoid if possible.
What do the little red squares on the lower left hand corner of the movieclips in the actions panel mean? [Fig. 1]I'm working off this template in Flash CS3, that's using ActionScript 2.0 actually. I don't know whether or not that means anything in regards to the above inquire?
I'm having the hardest time finding a way to simply add rounded tabs to a TabNavigator control.I have seen examples which seem to be really simple but they don't seem to work in Flex 4.5. Here is some sample code:
I have a map in a panel. When maximizing the panel, the map remain the smaller size. How to make the map growing synchronizely with the Panel? When maximizing the Panel,I added Resize Effects. How to apply Resize effects on the Map when the extent of the map changing? It seems to me that I should dispatch extentChange event when maximizing the panel.
I discovered this while doing some programmatic panel resizing:Components in a spark Panel will still be visible when their location is outside the physical Panel boundaries. This does not happen with the mx Panel.unning Flex 4.1 on Windows 7I tried putting mx and spark controls in the spark Panel, and they both appear outside of the boundaries. Note this doesn't happen with the mx Panel. What am I missing to make the spark behave like the mxSample Code:
I want to create a panel docking to a pop up panel in my flex app, like Winamp's playlist window can dock to main window. but I didn't find any useful on docking in flex
I've traced the PopUpManager, but I didn't find any available interfaces or events about popup window's moving, I think it's design shouldn't be so bad.
How do I change the corner radius of a Label component in Flex. Tried applying style name, and the setStyle('cornerRadius',9) methods, but doesn't work. How can I change the arrow image in the combo box control to a different image?
I want to extend the RadioButton component in Flex 3, adding a text input line to it in place of the label. Is it possible to do this?Alternately, is it possible to have a container -- such as an HBox -- delegate all properties to an internal component -- such as a RadioButton -- so that I could create a composite component that 'acts like' a radio button?
when I create my object uniform which is a simple object, I pass it to my UniformObjectProxy.getInstance() static method to get the instance of my objectProxy, ok so far so good.my problem is when I try to bind a property of my objectProxy instance like
the dispatchColorChange handler function is called only once an never again, I had check ChangeWatcher.isWatching() and return false meaning my objectProxy is not binding properly, if I create an objectProxy like
_opc = new ObjectProxy(_uniform); cw:ChangeWatcher = BindingUtils.bindSetter(dispatchColorChange, _opc, data.id);
the binds works just fine, so my thinking is the problem is when I extends the objectProxy class, how is the proper way to do this
I need a way to "extend" or proxy the Number class in ActionScript.Basically I'll overload the toString method of it. But the Numbers should remain comparable with "<" and ">" operators.
I am feeding the label to my LinkButton directly from a string I receive from a Google API that puts html to format the label.
I want to extend linkbutton to allow this. I wrote a class myself to allow html text for the label and that aspect of it works but now the background that appears when you hover is way too big. I tried to override measure() to fix this but I didn't have a clue how. Here is the class I wrote:
package com.kranichs.components { import mx.controls.LinkButton; public class HTMLLinkButton extends LinkButton
I need to round at only the top or bottom of a border container not all four corners, is their some CSS that I can use or do I have to create two new skins. I was reading their used to be a property for this for HBox back in the old days, is their not a property for BorderContainer now?
I would like to know how to apply gradient and corner radius in flex. Is css the only way? I mean I want to use more of flex properties to make this happen give a sample class or code for it?
I'm trying to programmatically(yep, must be this way) style/skin a VBox so that its top right corner is rounded, and it gets a two colors gradient brackground.
Modifying examples I found around I was able to accomplish both effects(corner and background) but only separately:
VBox with not all rounded corners: [URL]
VBox with gradient background: [URL]
But what I need to do is to apply both at the same time. And all my coding attempts so far have failed silently.
I'm creating a spark list in my flex mobile application and i want to do like a list on the iphone with a corner radius Unfortunately there is no cornerRadius or simply radius in list styles.
How do I get corner radius on my TextInput component in Flex 4. <s:TextInput prompt="username" width="150" maxChars="100" id="txt_username" color="#000000"/>
I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.
