View 2 RepliesIm probably overlooking something simple, but when I try to draw a rectangle Flash is automatically applying a corner radius. I've tried resetting the options in the Properties Inspector, which resets to the default, but soon as a draw a shape it goes right back to a random radius.
View 4 RepliesI would like to know how to apply gradient and corner radius in flex. Is css the only way? I mean I want to use more of flex properties to make this happen give a sample class or code for it?
View 1 RepliesI'm creating a spark list in my flex mobile application and i want to do like a list on the iphone with a corner radius Unfortunately there is no cornerRadius or simply radius in list styles.

How do I get corner radius on my TextInput component in Flex 4.
<s:TextInput prompt="username" width="150" maxChars="100" id="txt_username" color="#000000"/>
I am wondering about making lines with a corner radius. It seems that the smaller the scale, the corners sort of distort, and end up looking jaggy. Maybe its just the way it is, but is there any remedy? I tried shifting the registration points, etc, but still the only way it looks smooth is when enlarged.
View 2 RepliesI've this tabs that I wanted to make rounded only on top-right and top-left corners. But it ended up rounding all 4 corners.
What I did:
<mx:TabNavigator id="myTabNav" x="58" y="61" width="584" height="200" creationComplete="setColors(event)" styleName="myTabStyle">
<pages:One label="ThisOne" id="one" name="One"/>
[Code].....
As you can see I have the "focusRoundedCorners" to point to top-right and top-left but no luck. What I got is:
I created a skin to show on Button mousedown.I want to give corner raduis and border thickness also as skin attributes because I gave them to the button in the normal way but they are not working on mousedown when I chose to give skin on it.[code]
View 1 RepliesI have a mx.components.List component with a bunch of custom styles:
<mx:Style>
.dropDownListStyle
{
[code]....
I'm creating the list in AS:
_dropDown = new List();
...
_dropDown.styleName = "dropDownListStyle";
The List is then added as a popup with PopUpManager:
PopUpManager.addPopUp( _dropDown, this );
The problem is that the corners of the newly created popup are not rounded. I found that border-style is needed in order to get the effect, but adding this property didn't help. I'm building the project with Flex 4.1, but the List and its parent are MX components and it's a lot of work to migrate them to Spark.
I want to scale my round rectangle and keep it's radius from been changed. How can I do that?
I am exporting SWF to flex and drawing it there. Do not scaling it in run time, just need few sets of scales.
create a method for drawing rectangle with rounded corners, but while being able to specify which of the four corners (any, all, none,etc.) you wanted to round.The method below does the trick, but for some reason my corners don't match the same curves that I get using the same radius with drawRoundRect().
In other words, if I call my method (and set all four corners to be rounded) and compare that with the same call to drawRoundRect() the actual curves of the corners are slightly different.
HTML Code:
public function drawComplexRoundedRect(startX:int,startY:int,rectWidth:int,rectHeight:int,radius:int,canvas:Sprite,roundTopLeft:Boolean=false,roundTopRight:Boolean=false,roundBottomLeft:Boolean=false,roundBottomRight:Boolean=false):void{
[code]....
how can I change or tween the color of a dynamic rectangle's borders ? (created with LineTo)I d'like the color to change when I hover the rectangle...Right now I 've always been to change the global color of the rectangle with it changes the color of the borders too.
View 1 RepliesWhen I use radius property in Flex plot chart It causes a warning says radius has been deprecated, use radius style There's no online documents about this warning. How Can I use radius style ?
View 1 RepliesIs there a way to disable the hover effects?I don't want flex to highlight the entire component for both link buttons and menu bar.On the menubar, I applied a backgroundSkin, so having flex highlight the whole menubar when the user hovers their mouse on top quitely destroys the design.
View 1 RepliesIt looks like the "cornerRadius" property of a Panel only changes the top corners and bottom if using a ControlBar. I'd like to specify a corner radius for each of the corners individual.
I know Degrafa can do this but I'd like to avoid if possible.
I am developing a flex air application and i want to it open in right bottom corner as notification..How do i do this.
View 1 RepliesI need to round at only the top or bottom of a border container not all four corners, is their some CSS that I can use or do I have to create two new skins. I was reading their used to be a property for this for HBox back in the old days, is their not a property for BorderContainer now?
View 1 Replieshow this can be achieved? It needs to work on all resolutions .. is there any parent/stage object available to find out the resolution of the system?
View 3 RepliesI'm working with Flex 3.4 SDK.
I'm trying to programmatically(yep, must be this way) style/skin a VBox so that its top right corner is rounded, and it gets a two colors gradient brackground.
Modifying examples I found around I was able to accomplish both effects(corner and background) but only separately:
VBox with not all rounded corners: [URL]
VBox with gradient background: [URL]
But what I need to do is to apply both at the same time. And all my coding attempts so far have failed silently.
I am facing a wiered problem in Flex. I Have a canvas with a HBox and Label. Please find the code below.

For those of you still with me, I am tasked with making some scrollable content in Flash. Load in a TextFile using LoadURL(), then display it. To get the text, we've written our own class TextFieldExtended, which is basically just there to give the textfile location to the constructor and then have the class do the various steps of getting it and loading it for you.So I needed to get a Scrollbar, which I got hereThe thing is, it works with Sprites.After trying to get it to accept TextFieldExtended, I bumped into a block, since the scrollbar relied heavily on a Sprite property that TextFieldExtended didn't have or could have.
So I tried adding the TextFieldExtended instance to a Sprite instance using addchild.A problem occurs here that I do not know how to handle. It seems that a Rectangle is drawn and the Text is drawn on that. I say this because the scrollbar moves the Rectangle up and down a bit, but the text doesn't scroll, just the Rectangle it is positioned in and the text then moves along with it.My question: can this be fixed, or is does this implementation of scrollbars need a lot of adaptations before this is possible?
I want to learn how you can change the registration point for the Canvas.I want to make a zoom of this component, but the point registration in the upper left corner! How do I move to the center?

View 3 RepliesI'm having trouble with Matrix Transforms in Flex.
I have a Flex Canvas with nothing but an Image in it, like so.
<mx:Canvas>
<mx:Image id="img" source="/some/Url" />
</mx:Canvas>

I'm using the <s:ComboBox> flex component which I suspect is very similar to the mx one <mx:ComboBox>
What I'm trying to do is listen to the event of the mouse moving between the items of the list. There's a change event, but it kicks in only when the item is clicked/selected from the list.
What event would I need to listen for when items are just hovered over. I tried finding over and hover but couldn't find something to that effect.
Flex 4: mx|tree - How can I disable items selection? I want to disable the hover and selection colors so when a user selects an item it's background won't change color. how is that possible. I do not want to choose the selection and hover colors. the background contains an image so it won't be useful. I need to completely disable the colors.
I tried to override the Tree class but with no luck. This is the class that overrides the tree Class:
package components.popups.WelcomeBack {
import mx.controls.listClasses.IListItemRenderer;
import mx.controls.Tree;
[Code] .....
How do I change the background color of the item I'm currently hovering over in a list? The default is that light blue, but I would like to be able to change it to whatever I want. I've gone through the list of available options, but I didn't see anything that stuck out at me.
I'm sure this is ridiculously simple, I just can't seem to figure it out.
I draw a rectangle i should see a little bold circle to indicate a perfect rectangle, I seemed to lost mine, can somebody please tell me how to get it back!
View 2 RepliesI want to create a notification icon like the the red one in the bottom right-hand corner of Facebook. I tried using a ToolTipManager to create a tooltip but since Tooltips appear in their own layer in Flex and, as far as I am able to figure, cannot be anchored to any part of the page. When the user uses the browser's scrollbar, they move.
