Flex :: Move Coordinate Position Of Flash Download Progress Bar?
Oct 12, 2011
I am extending the Flash DownloadProgressBar component for use as a preloader with Flex. Is it possible to override the x and y coordinate position of the progress bar? (the default is to center the bar)
Can any one indicata me a small piece of code for making this progress bar move on mic activitylevel. When spoken on the microphone the progressbar should indicate it.Also which works on internet explorer
this is a pleloader question when i simulate a download in flash of my pleloader it works fine. but when i ftp it to the server it goes blank no progress bar but the site still loads just with no progress bar. how do i fix this?
Almost every flash player has an option to display how much of buffer (or % of total video) is downloaded to the client. At the moment I don't see it in any implementation of html5 video player.
The real problem I am trying to solve is to have a way of knowing % of downloaded asset (image/swf/video whatever). In flash its easy by using MovieClipLoader and bytesLoaded property.
Is there any way of doing it in HTML/HTML5/Javascript (without relying on Flash) ?
I know how to setup a preloader and I have that working. But when I debug the flash application and simulate a download, it has a blank background until a few seconds have passed. I know it is "downloading" the swf file and I'm wondering if I can show a progress bar for that, or do I need to have the swf file as small as possible and pre load everything needed and have all assets as a separate file I fetch? I found something with ProgressEvent.PROGRESS but this only loads after the flash file is finished downloading.
in Flex if i have a loader class (i.e., XMLLoader) and a document class (document.as) and in document.as I'm instantiating XMLLoadervar ldr:XMLLoader = new XMLLoader(url);... and on the document.as class I have a text box, which I would like updated with the progress from that XMLLoader is making by using URLLoaders progress event, continously. Meaning, the box would show the load in bytes that it is recievingI'm not sure how to constantly push data out of an event and add it to another class. For example:
myLstnr.addEventListener(ProgressEvent.PROGRESS, getProgress); private function getProgress():void {
I am working on a project where I have 5 equal sized panels inside of a MC that uses the following code to load the MC: ( it slides into place in the viewer window)
onClipEvent (load) { targetx = 650.0; delay = 8;
[Code].....
What I would like to do is ALSO move the panels with left and right arrows that act independently of navigation buttons. So that if you were on panel 2 you could advance to panel 3 or back to 1. Can I assign AS to the arrows to move the MC a specified distance left or right?
I've installed FMS 3.5 , download video files from it. But how can I determine video download progress, when properties bytesTotal and bytesLoaded of my netStream object = 0 ? amountLoaded = ns.bytesLoaded / ns.bytesTotal; - doesn't work
I'm trying to measure the y position of a single line text field, specifically at the baseline position, i.e where the bottom of the letters without tails like 'y' has sit. I guess I either need to know the y position at baseline or the height of the font not including the stuff under the baseline.
The reason I'm needing to do this is that I'm using alive pdf and i'm trying to add text in the same relative position on the pdf as the window that the user designs something, and alive pdf's addText function sets y a the baseline position it seems.
I'm working on an mp3 player. It makes use of a custom scrollbar I found here[url]...
I've gotten it to work so far, but there is one bit I would like to add. I would like it to scroll to specific y-coords when a button is clicked. The code for the scrollbar is all in an external AS file, which is referred to by an exported movieclip in the main fla.
I've built an online magazine, that has several links to videos. One page has four of them. They all work great except under one specific circumstance. If the user quickly opens a video, and closes it, moving on the to next, and doing the same, the 3rd or 4th video may appear unresponsive. I've narrowed this down to being a bandwith issue. If I look at my activiyt in Safari, the FLV files continue to download even if the user closes my player.
Is there anyway to kill this download if the user closes a player?[code]...
I'm currently enrolled in an ActionScript course, and cannot seem to get my progress bar to work correctly. We were tasked with creating a simple image loader application, which would access externally hosted images (through use of a PHP proxy script), and then spit the image onto the user's screen (with a progress event and progress bar to track the image's download progress).
However, when I run it, I get these mysterious black graphical glitches everywhere, as well as a non-functioning progress bar. In some browsers I get the following error: "ArgumentError: Error #2109: Frame label NaN not found in scene NaN. at flash.display.MovieClip/gotoAndStop() at Document/imageLoadProgress().
Here is my code - I cant for the life of me figure out what is wrong. I figure it has something to do with the imageLoadProgress() function, or my progress bar (which is just a simple 100-frame movie clip with a motion tween and a "stop()" command at the beginning).
I create a download progress event but I need tu use it seral time and the text apear only one time.[code]No problem for the first click, but after the progress text dont't appaear.
I am using a ScrollPane in my application(viz., instance name is: myScrollPane). When I view the contents of the ScrollPane, it shows them perfectly. My issue is: When I try to view data present inside the ScrollPane, if I move the Vertical-ScrollBar of the ScrollPane to middle(or somewhere from top to down) and then click on Submit button(viz., instance name is: submit_btn), then its Vertical ScrollPosition must be reset from middle(or any position where we leave it before) to top(or initial position). Hence, I need to move the Vertical ScrollPosition of ScrollPane to top (or) initial position. Everytime, I need to refresh the VerticalScrollBar Position when I click on the submit button. How to do it?
how to make an actionscript to move punto_mc from current position to random position after release, and then from this new position to mevo to another randon position after release?
well i want to make buttons that on rollover move to left, on rollout move back to their initial position, and if clicked, they but stay this time at the final rollover place, and be there until something else is clicked. When something else is clicked, the previous button , returns to its initial place. So i ve got it all figured out except for the freeze and move part when the buttons are clicked. All it does now , is when they are clicked they freeze at the position i want, but i havent got a clue how to update them, after so they start moving back, and reacting on rollover and rollout, when the next button is clicked.
I'm hoping someone can solve this headache. Basically, I want a movieclip to move to the position of each of my buttons from any position along my x axis. Therefore, the movieclip needs to 'flip' to face the way it is traveling.At the moment I have the movieclip moving to the mouse x axis when I ROLLOVER the button and stop following the mouse when I ROLLOUT but the code won't flip the movieclip so I must have something wrong...
What i'd like to do is have a menu/site map that adjusts when you click on a certain icon. For example, I have a AS3.0 flash file with, say, 5 keyframes with 5 buttons that are in different positions on each key frame. The buttons are set to gotoAndPlay the various keyframes. I can set up a tween that links frame 1 to 2, 2 to 3 etc. but what I would like is a tween from, say, 1 to 3, then 3 to 5, then 5 to 1 - basically in a random order rather than sequentially through the key frames. I could set each of these tweens up individually but the site is for a portfolio that I would like to keep adding to and to do this individually would mean an ever increasing amount of tweens.Basically, is there a way to get a 'MovieClip' to move from Position A in keyframe 1 to Position B in another keyframe without a set of tween frames? I'm sure this is simpler than I am making it sound but I don't seem to be able to work it out.
I'm trying to make a movie clip move left or right depending if you move the cursor to the right or left on the screen. The clip is long and it have a lot of thumbnails and when it reaches the end of the stage has to stop. I have achieved this, but when the mc comes to the side of the stage it is getting slower and slower and I need it to move with a constant speed.
This is the code: var x_down:Number = 2900; var end:Number = -((x_down)/.8 + 50); var key:Number; var c_key:Number; var start1: Tween = new Tween( padre_mc, "x", Regular.easeInOut, padre_mc.x, (padre_mc.x + 280), 1, true); [Code] .....
I have 3 square. smallest square s3 is inside s2. s2 is in side s1. each is 10px larger [code]how can I find the coordinate of child in its parent's coordinate system?
I need to move a movieclip based on mouse x position. Like this site [URL] - Which I built using a flashloaded app, but I need more control in this project so I'd like to code it without the app. Basically, I have an image of a boy (left) and a girl (right) and I want to move the boy slightly toward the girl when the mouse goes right and slightly away when the mouse goes left. But only about 25-50 pixels in each direction.
I've cobbled some code together from google searching and rough ideas, and it works in a way, but the boy jumps about 400 pixels to the left on the initial mouse move and then floats a bit too far right and left from there. Here's what I've got on the boyMC:
