I need to know if a popup (which is a singleton titlewindow, hence would be initialized only once) is already shown in the screen or not, if not then i will call a function to show it up, otherwise do something else.I tried findPopup.focusEnabled //findPopup is the titlewindow class for popup But it is always true irrespective of whether the popup is shown in the screen currently or not.

I got this movieclip. With actionscript I attached a new movieclip to this one, as a popup menu, which will show on rollover. Inside this movieclip, it automatically makes textfields, as menu options (information I receive from a XML document). The problem is, that I cannot get it to respond on a onRelease function on those text fields, and I do not know why.

The effect in question is that when I hover a certain area I want my navigation (6 movie clips that acts as a button) to appear and disappear when I move my mouse out. The trouble is that right now I Can make then appear but I cannot click them nor mouse over them since I've put a transparent (alpha = 0 ) over them.

In my Flex application, the modules can be larger than the resolution of the screen and have a vertical scrollbar.When the user clicks somewhere, I popup a small component at the position of the mouse co-ordinates.However, if the user clicks too close to the edges of the screen, I need to prevent the component from appearing outside the viewable area.For this purpose, I need to know the dimensions of the viewable area. View 3 RepliesI am playing a video and created a button which displays video area in fullscreen but video doesn't cover whole screen area, there are blanks left and right of the video. I searched a bit and every flash player i found with full screen option in fact resizes the video the same way, it just doesn't cover whole area. Why is that? Can video in full screen mode be resized to cover whole screen area without those blanks at sides?

I came across the following javascript code that creates a fullscreen pop up window from a rollover button (html/javascript) that appears to be unaffected by popup blockers in IE (or at least on my computers it's unaffected). However, when I adapt the button code to actionscript for use with a flash button it starts to trigger the popup blocker. figure out the correct actionscript to make this work without being blocked?

I am trying to get a box_mc to fade out if the mouse is in a set area of the screen, but if the mouse is in a different segment to reappear. I have set up a timer to detect mouse position and got the functions working but I dont know how to pause the timer in order for the fade to take effect.

View 1 RepliesI have a flash application that utilizes a lot of popup title windows that do not have parent containers. I'm having a problem when users with smaller resolutions try to use my application because the popup utility windows will often be too large. Note that I do not want to re-size the window as that would eliminate a lot of it's clarity and separation of menu bars and tool icons. I just want my application to detect if the window has a height or width property greater than that of the browser's view frame and then activate the respective scroll bar should it be needed.
