i am looking to make something like this for my page.[URL].. i can do all the vid work etc.. the thing im stumped on is how can they resize the working area it uses eg.. where the presenter comes up.. because to start with the swf looks like its only tiny little play start stop thing then it loads the clip outside of those boundaries?
I have created this swf that allows me to drag my movie clip around with easing effects.However, if I drag it too fast, my movie clip will actually goes out of my "flash".PS: I actually got this script from a user in this forum. Sorry about that. Hence, i left the credits there.)Is there anyway where I can set the boundaries where the movie clip can be dragged to? I've came across a website where the effect of dragging within a specific area is exactly what I desired.Also, I'm using AS2 and here it is.

im working on a banner which have all data included from external text file and styled with css.the code of the banner you can see here:http:[url]....the issue it that my main timeline have 2 frames and the file loops. In this case all works fine , but the on every loop the actionscript loads all the Loaders and data again and again and this cause increasing memory usage (about 1 MB per 2/3 loops) .To fix this I've put a stop(); in the first frame , which fixed the memory leak issue, but now the CSS doesn't load at all - I don't know why. Also I've released that the CSS not loads if the clip have only one frame.

I have a horizontal menu bar across the bottom of a site I manage, and I would like to load it as the Moive content loads. I have made the menu bar into it's own movie clip, but I cannot work out the code to relate the Menu bar movieclip to the parent movie clip.[url]...
I am trying to make what I thought would be a very simple random picture display. I have five movie clips named myClip1, myClip2, etc. All are on the first frame of the timeline. Each has this as a movie clip action:

When I test this the background (an image) displays but nothing else, the movie clips stay transparent. I have tried several variations without any luck.I am mainly an asp and net developer that uses flash periodically so be gentle.
I am a voice over artist and I'd like to have a button and when you click it, it loads one of say 20 mp3s stored...wherever. It can be in the flash movie itself...but I'd rather the script access a directory on my server, that way the movie itself doesn't take long to load.
Like the description says. I have six buttons, I want it so when you click any of them the movie clip plays once then when it is finished a specific url loads.
im working on en site that needs a bouncie image, but all the tuts and movie clip i can find only work with onmouseover effect.. i dont want onmouseover but bounce when the clip loads. maybe someone can rearange this script so it bouces on clipload... this in the 1st frame:
I am creating a Movie Clip player interface. You can click on a thumbnail and load an external SWF. At the end of that movie clip, I would like to load another SWF, it's just a logo animation filler that plays until the next thumbnail is clicked.

But it loads the new movie right on top of the old one.How do I get it unload the first one?

I am trying to create a movie clip that loops and on each loop it loads a random little .jpg banner from a directory. The banners are named 0.jpg, 1.jpg and so on, a script on the first frame of the loop saying
"bannernumber" is a variable from an external text file specifying how many random numbers to cycle through (how many banners), This works just fine and loads up a new banner after each loop cycle. The problem lies in trying to make each banner go to its own url, I have another external text document with variables "click0=url, click1=url etc" where I want the number in each variable to equal the randomnumber variable in flash, then use an on(release){getURL(urlvariable)} function to have it retrieve the url that is somehow in the url variable. Basically, how would I make the urlvariable be equal to the "click0" variable to get the url of the click0 variable into the getURL function? while having the number in the "click0" variable be equal to the randomnum variable?
So when you load a picture into a movie clip, it loads into the Top-Left hand corner.I really want it to load into the Top-Right hand corner. Is there a way?I am loading it via AS - not placing it manually, as I have a variety of images which are of different dimensions....
Everything is embedded in an HTML site. The HTML loads a preloader that then loads the actual flash movie. Inside this movie I created a few buttons, inside a scroll bar movie clip. I want the buttons to load a whole new movie inside the same html. The code I'm using in the button is simply:
on(release) { loadMovie("new_movie.swf", 0); }
The problem is that it works beautifully in the Flash movie tester but doesn't do anything when tested inside the browser, embedded in the HTML. I think the problem is that the HTML embeds as an object the first movie, the preloader for the menu movie, not the menu movie itself.
and I have this swf file with cms that I'd like for this menu to load. Currently the swf file load external text using this code:

but when the xml menu loads this swf file its structure loads but not its data.I tried using :

in the loading swf main time line but it did not work.I should also mention that the dynamic data that loads onto the swf that is to be loaded by the menu, resides not in it main time line but 4 movie clips deep .I don't know if that makes a difference or not.

the problem is that when i click on the first button loads ok but when click on second still showing the first movie clip in the back ,,,,, i have try everything without luck ,,,, i guess i need to keep reading but will like to find an answer to this situation ,
scroll pane loads scroll bars for the movie clip as soon as it loads the movie clip, so there is no scroll bars the movies height and width are one, but after its loaded it changes its size to bigger than the scroll pane, but the scroll bars dont show up because of the size of the movie clip when it was first loaded, can anyone help?
I have an animated logo swf file that loads and runs once on the home page every time the page loads. The logo has been updated to appear in three different colour schemes. I want one scheme to load and when the page is refreshed or revisited, one of the other colour schemes to load in its place. They can appear in any random order, just a different one to the one that played before reloading.Can someone point me to an answer or tell me how to do it? I have found a way in JavaScript but this only works on plain images, not swf files.
What i am trying to do is move a MC around by dragging it, but i dont want the MC to move so far that it could be lost on the stage. i need some sort of parameters so that the MC is always showing. basically i have a large map of the united states and i want to be able to move it around and look at the individual states. the map is much larger than the stage and i am using a mask to clean up the appearance. i just want to make sure that the user cant move the map so far in one direction that it gets lost.
I am attempting to create a map that has the ability to zoom in and out as well as a click and drag feature.What I need help on is setting boundaries for the map. I can set them for the map when it is zoomed out, but they need to change as the map zooms in. I've been searching lots of forums lately to see if anyone can help, but no luck yet...

I have been working with some code back and forth but am pretty much stuck now! I have four movie clips of different colored cars - two on the left side off the stage, and two on the right side off the stage. The clips move across the stage to the right and the left respectively. I have all the elements that I needed to get working, but now I am stuck because the animation only plays one time. I need it to play over and over again, never stopping. I tried to "reset" the _x boundary for each movie clip since they are in different starting locations, but have not been successful. Below is my code and I also attached a screen shot of how the clips are positioned so you can see how they will cross the screen.

I have a pointer that follows the mouse movement only in determined angles. lets say the pointer can only follow the mouse when the mouse is moving below the pointer. (it rotates perfectly and smoothly to the left and right) but the thing is, lets say that the mouse is now above the pointer to the right, the pointer stays to the last permited right/down angle BUT if i go down with the mouse from the left, the pointer obviously will jump from facing right/down to facing left/down...what i would like is the pointer to make a nice transition/rotation to the inverse side...just what it does when moving the mouse from left to right, right to left (having the mouse below the pointer).
I am trying to create a movieClip that will always stay on a track. You get me, or have a lost you?Picture the London underground map, I want a little circle that will follow the track BUT also follow my cursor.So if I drag the circle to the right it will go to the right but always stay on track even if there are slopes or corners in the track.
i've been trying to solve this for an hour now and I have to resort to a forum post. I don't understand why this isn't working.I have two background images that scroll up,right,left and down with arrow keys. They also scroll to the left while no arrow keys are being used.What I want is the background images to reach a boundary, so the player never leaves the background image and sees the stage.My background image x,y coordinates by default are: x(223.0), y(272.4)Just to see if my condition works, I have it move the wisp(player). However, even in the debug screen when it shows the Y coordinate of backround image go below 170, it never moves the wisp.

I have placed an image within a movieclip that I would like to zoom in on when the mouse passes over it. The zoom on the cursor is working, but the mouse remains a magnifying glass even after it rolls off of the zoomable image. I have tried putting the image and zoom code inside an swf and loading in it into a container via loadmovie, but the same problem with the cursor occurs.
I have a big movieclip in a movieclip (bigger then the stage) when i roll over different movieclips the big movieclip moves, right now it just keeps moving when i keep the mouse on the movieclip/ I would like the movieclip to stop moving when its edge is about to leave the screen. I have no idea how i should do this, and all the tutorials i've found explain how to keep and object in the stage (this one is a lot bigger then the stage)
