Php :: Linux - SWFUpload Image Upload Fails With 'Partial File Uploaded'?

Nov 4, 2011

I'm using SWFUpload to upload images without reloading the page (with a fancy progressbar too), this works fine when I'm on localhost (Wamp server), but it goes nuts when I try to do so on my real linux server (which is the only possible flag as far as I could see), it's running Apache2 and PHP5. As I said the front-end is fine (apart maybe from the fact it's flash). The back-end code is as follows:

SWFUpload_settings.js
var swfu_settings ={upload_url : "upload.php",
flash_url : "flash/swfupload.swf",
button_placeholder_id : "upload_flash",

[code]...

The only error that I get is from $_FILES['Filedata']['error'] = 3, 'Only part of the file was uploaded'. The destination directory does have 777 permission and you can see I made the required checks. It simply will not work, I have no idea why. Also, the files I tried uploading had no spaces in the filename, so that shouldn't fit under the issue 206 with SWFUpload. As far as I can tell it can be either due to the front-end SWFUpload or back-end server configuration.

P.S. no need to mention security, this is only allowed to be used by the server admin with external access anyhow, plus there's the front-end limitation on the files he can select (images). There was no point securing it further.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Not Working When Uploaded To Linux Server

Jan 21, 2009

Works like a charm when I preview it but when I upload to the server (tried 3 different ones) it just ignore the actionscripts all together no matter what I use.

What I have is a rotating banner system. I set it up to randomly start at a specific one. If I preview it locally or run in in my .html file locally (just using preview in dreamweaver) it works like a charm and starts at a random one. When I upload it it just starts at the first one like the actionscripts do not exist.

Using Flash CS3 and AS3.

Flash :: SWFUpload Prematurely Closing Connection On Upload (nginx 499)

Jan 22, 2010

I'm using swfupload to upload files to nginx. It works fine for me & 99% of our users. For a couple of users, however, it fails somehow during upload. It opens a connection, but seems to close it before it's complete - nginx reports a 499 status in its access log, which is NGX_ HTTP_ CLIENT_CLOSED_REQUEST.I managed to get hold of one of those users to get some more information. They're running Flash 10.0.42, on XP with Firefox 3.5.7.Has anyone seen anything like this? Any suggestions on fixing it / how I might investigate further?

I've developed a system that uses SWFUpload to easily allow the user to upload multiple files with a progress bar showing them the upload progress. I can see the Flash movie is there, if I right click it a window appears saying Movie not loaded... (Then on the next line) About Adobe Flash Player 10...So far I've not been able to determine what was causing the failure. Are there any other alternatives to SWFUpload that will allow for:

ActionScript 2.0 :: Upload Fails On Large Files?

Sep 28, 2007

I built an uploader which works fine on decently sized files.

When I upload say a 2mb picture however, everything appears to be working fine - all the progress indicators, on completes operate as usual.... but then the file never shows up on the server?

I realize this is pretty vague, lacking code examples, but I just wanted to kind of put a general question out there, see if anyone suspects anything right off the bat..

ie, is it maybe something more wrong with my server? flash dosent have some upload limit i dont know about?

Flash :: Realtime RTMP Streaming Of User-uploaded Files, As They Upload?

Jan 12, 2010

I want users to be able to upload audio files to my server (say, over HTTP.. mechanism doesn't matter much), and then I'd like to assemble those files into a playlist and stream them out over a live RTMP stream to a Flash widget. The catch is: I'd like to begin streaming the audio files before they completely finish uploading. For example, if a user uploads an hour-long mp3, I'd like it to be able to begin playing on the RTMP stream once, say, the first minute has been uploaded.I'd like to support mp3 and AAC, and would hope to avoid re-encoding the files. Is is there a way to make this work with Wowza, Flash Media Server, or some other clever solution?

Data Integration :: FileReference.upload OnComplete Event Fails On OSX?

Aug 4, 2006

i have a flash 8 movie that upload jpegs to a server side script. When hosted on an NT server, with a php script that recieves the upload, the FileReference onComplete event gets called correctly when the an image has completely uploaded using FileReference.upload. This when movie is viewed in Flash Player 8, in IE and Firefox on Windows XP and on OSX.

When the same swf is uploaded to an Apache Tomcat/5.5.12 server, with a jsp script to recieve the upload, then the problems start. The upload works ok on both PC and OSX, except that the onComplete event of the
FileReference object is never called on OSX. It is essential to trap the onComplete event for the site to continue with its functionality. (If the file takes long enough to upload (more than a few fractions of a second) the the onProgress event is called while its uploading on PC and OSX.)

How can I get the image dimensions the moment the user selects the file (before the file is even uploaded to the server). Professional :: .flv Will Not Play Once Uploaded To Server But Plays Fine Before It Is Uploaded

Aug 6, 2010

I have a flash template that I bought and customized with dreamweaver, flash and Coda html editor, the website test PERFECTLY when I test the index.html file, all of the buttons work fine, I have a total of 12 .flv videos and they ALL play back fine, when I play the index.html file, the problem occurs when I upload the files to my godaddy server, 11 of the videos play fine, the whole site is fine, it is one particular .flv file that will not play once it is uploaded to the server. I have changed the orders the video play, renamed the file and changed the html flv path to reflect the name change, I have deleted all the files off my server, refreshed the server logged out and re logged on and uploaded everything again, I have re-encoded the original .mov file to a .flv file again using Adobe media encoder, still nothing, I am wondering why would the index.html play this particular .flv file fine, but once uploaded to the server it will not play, the path is correct I have checked it, if the path were the problem the index.html for that particular file would not play when I test the index.html file before I upload it, but it plays fine until it is uploaded, I am uploading the whole folder on the root, and this particular video file is in a folder with all the rest of the .flv files, I even tried changing the path and putting this particular .flv file in a seperate folder and change the path still nothing.
