I'm uploading a bunch of base-64 encoded images via an HTTP post. I'm doing this using the URLLoader.load() function. I've added a ProgressEvent, but it only gets fired for the response...after the upload is complete.
Im building a reservation form, using actionscript and php. I use sendAndLoad to send variables to php via POST, which returns a different HTTP POST response in case of sucess or not.
Is there anyway to "read" HTTP POST responses with actionscript?
I'm working on a sample i found on this site:t captures the webcam & saves the image then posts it to a page.but it seems that i couldn't catch the saved image, im kinda rusty on'm capturing the response in a aspx page and save the image in a file. here's my asp.net code:
if (Request.Files.Count == 0) { Response.Write("ERROR: No files were uploaded");
I am making rest calls with a urlload.load(urlRquest).
also urlRequest.method = URLRequestMethod.POST; urlRequest.contentType = "application/xml";
When I make the calls within the Flash IDE, I get HTTPStatusEvent.status = 400 (or whatever) when an error occurs. And the IOErrorEvent.data contains xml (or sometimes a string).
However, when I run the swf in a browser (Firefox Mac or PC), the HTTPStatusEvent.status = 0, and the IOErrorEvent.data is empty. (Interestingly in Safari Mac, I do get the 400 status, but still no data.)
I basically have a form inside of Flash that I need to submit to a server-side processing page, which will then return either json or xml telling if it succeeded or not ( json, xml I suppose ). My version of Flash is CS4 and I'm wondering if there are any libraries or frameworks I can use to accomplish this.
I am having a little trouble sending an xml string to an HTTPService an Actionscript3 (see code below). Basically, I am trying to send a georss xml string for conversion into another format. I am getting an ioError and suspect the xml is causing havoc with the services parser. I know this approach is probably not the best, but this is where I am at.
I am using actionscript engine to upload a file, the engine will select the file and send the file over network thru HTTP POST command, the document says the POST message is like:[code]In server side I have a C++ program listens on port 80 and parse the POST message. I only want the file name and file data. How to decode the file data using c++, is it base64 encoded and is there a library can do it for me? I want to decode the binary, and write it to the file.
I'm running FMS 3.5 on RedHat, and have some server side actionscript that is attempting to perform an HTTP GET on a remote URL, e.g:
loadVars.send("http://someurl/");
This works on a Windows XP development server, but not on the RedHat deployment server. Are there any configuration options that I need to be aware of in order to allow my application to perform requests such as these (i.e. HTTP requests to remote servers)?
I've used the Flex HTTPService to connect to a backend blazeDS service without any problems at all. The question I have is, can I also use HTTPService to send a HTTP POST message to a server (with basic authentication)?
Specifically I'd like to be able to interface Flex with Notifo [URL] and to interface with it you just need to send a http POST with authentication and some key:value strings for the message content. (I've done it from java and from the command line with curl and it all seemed pretty easy to set but I'm just not sure how to go about trying this with Flex).
How would this be done via the HTTPService (if at all) ?
Can anyone see how the mxml/as class would look like and what would be in the services-config file and what adapters need to be used etc etc ??
I am sending the parameters from flex application through HTTP POST request to Python/PSP script. I am able to call PSP script from flex app using HTTP POST request, but i am not able to use/retrieve these parameters in Python/PSP
I'm new to Flex and couldn't figure out yet how to send binary data to the server as the body of a POST request. The HTTPService component doesn't seem to support this. The FileReference doesn't seem to support setting the data via the Flex API.
I am creating an application where users can upload their images on the canvas and they can resize the image. I need to know if its possible to make some handles for the uploaded image so the users can use those handles to crop the image? [URL]drag a clipart onto the stage and take a look at those Orange handles around the image.I just need to create that kind of effect in flash actionscript 2.
In flex, what we do, we normally upload the image from flex end and upload it to the serveri want to know, can we do some details checking, like i want to find out the imageesolution(on the client side) before it is uploaded to the server,There are going to be two profits, first the client doesn't need to wait for long to image get uploaded, and in case if finding the image resolution is on the server end, so it willtake time, even the image to be uploaded is not of expected resolutionsecond, the user interaction & interface with the flex application will be improved,
I have a script that loads an image and inside this swf document, I have a few icons such as glasses, hats, etc.. However, when I try to drag and drop these icons over the uploaded picture, the icons are dragged BEHIND the image uploaded.
I saw this post and don't understand why it's so struggling to post an image to server side with flash, or is it just the poster didn't do it in a proper manner ?So far my progress is:
var ba:ByteArray = (new PNGEncoder()).encode(vidBmpHolder); var request : URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://localhost:3000/doodles"); request.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
So I am trying to create an image in flash and post it to a .NET page so that it can be saved on the server. I am getting this error in the .NET page when I post: Invalid character in a Base-64 string
I actually want to create a png but wanted to get it working with jpg first... (less moving parts)
ActionScript Code: private function createJpg():void { var image:BitmapData = new BitmapData(_png.width, _png.height); image.draw(_png);
I'm building an image viewer that has violent content (video games), and so it requires users to enter their birthdays. Problem is that because of company policy, I can't expose any of the source images being viewed in the event that someone might use their resources/net tabs (or just sniff the request) and get the direct link to the image. (I know that they could screenshot it, but that's out of anyone's control and not something I'm worried about.)Is there anyway to inherently mask loaded resources (images)? I've been using sockets, which is great, but there's also the problem of actually loading the image binary (after HTTP request headers are removed) as a Bitmap in Flash.
I'm having a problem with getting a backend script to append an xml file after the client has uploaded a new image. A serate swf will read the xml to update banners
I got the image uploader to work but can't figure out the xml.
as3
Code: // First thing is to set the flashing upload message clip to invisible uploadMsg.visible = false; // Set the URL for the PHP uploader script
It looks like that anytime I upload an image, it gets my screen's DPI and not its original resolution.I want to get the initial dpi of the image.Is this feasible?
I have a flash template that I bought and customized with dreamweaver, flash and Coda html editor, the website test PERFECTLY when I test the index.html file, all of the buttons work fine, I have a total of 12 .flv videos and they ALL play back fine, when I play the index.html file, the problem occurs when I upload the files to my godaddy server, 11 of the videos play fine, the whole site is fine, it is one particular .flv file that will not play once it is uploaded to the server. I have changed the orders the video play, renamed the file and changed the html flv path to reflect the name change, I have deleted all the files off my server, refreshed the server logged out and re logged on and uploaded everything again, I have re-encoded the original .mov file to a .flv file again using Adobe media encoder, still nothing, I am wondering why would the index.html play this particular .flv file fine, but once uploaded to the server it will not play, the path is correct I have checked it, if the path were the problem the index.html for that particular file would not play when I test the index.html file before I upload it, but it plays fine until it is uploaded, I am uploading the whole folder on the root, and this particular video file is in a folder with all the rest of the .flv files, I even tried changing the path and putting this particular .flv file in a seperate folder and change the path still nothing.
using the latest facebook actionscript library, I upload an image using: Facebook.api('me/photos', etc...) it returns an ID, which method would I call to get the url of the uploaded image?
Anyone know if you can connect, login, post an image to a Facebook account directly from inside of Flash? I grabbed the Facebook API for AS3 and have it installed, created an application definition on Facebook but am having no look connecting to it? I have seen some refereneces to it only working inside of Flex and am wondering it that's the case. I am looking to do a kiosk application where a camera image will be uploaded directly to the persons FB page.
I'm using SWFUpload to upload images without reloading the page (with a fancy progressbar too), this works fine when I'm on localhost (Wamp server), but it goes nuts when I try to do so on my real linux server (which is the only possible flag as far as I could see), it's running Apache2 and PHP5. As I said the front-end is fine (apart maybe from the fact it's flash).The back-end code is as follows:
The only error that I get is from $_FILES['Filedata']['error'] = 3, 'Only part of the file was uploaded'. The destination directory does have 777 permission and you can see I made the required checks. It simply will not work, I have no idea why. Also, the files I tried uploading had no spaces in the filename, so that shouldn't fit under the issue 206 with SWFUpload.As far as I can tell it can be either due to the front-end SWFUpload or back-end server configuration.
P.S. no need to mention security, this is only allowed to be used by the server admin with external access anyhow, plus there's the front-end limitation on the files he can select (images). There was no point securing it further.
I have a Flash Application that sends an image (using as3corelib) to a PHP script that previews it in the browser, which works! But, I would actually like it to permanently save it the a server folder (uploads, etc.) instead of temporarily saving it. I can't find the right variable in the PHP that actually sends the image to a server so it could save it.
I'm creating a flash fun thing where you dress up a character by just dragging and dropping little images, everything is working fine.
I want to add an option to save the image you have created, I can do this but the problem is you have to set a movie clip to capture, the thing i want to capture is a few movie clips layered on top of each other(the finished character).[code]...
