I have a Flash Application that sends an image (using as3corelib) to a PHP script that previews it in the browser, which works! But, I would actually like it to permanently save it the a server folder (uploads, etc.) instead of temporarily saving it. I can't find the right variable in the PHP that actually sends the image to a server so it could save it.
I've a problem when save area flash to image on server (both Win or Linux), but on local (OS: Window) it allaway runs well. I try to find this bug, when user "loadMovie" function it's bug, but i don't use "loadMovie" function it runs well (on Sever)
Im working on a project where i need to create a webpage that the end user can upload an image (gif, jpg, png) that is then transformed and mapped to a perspective shape, then saved to the server, and linked in the mysql DB.Has anyone done something like this before?Id like to do this in flash, if possible, if not, I guess shockwave is the next optionbecause you cant distort flash movie clips to create a "perspective" im gonna need to use something like this:

as3corelib functionality is awesome and I have used the great tutorial at Henry Jones.com to create an example with a quick interface...
[URL]
Now this is a bit wierd here because it works on 70% of location tests but seems to be dependant on the internet provider allowing uploads. It doesn't work at my mates house but works at work and my house etc...
The second thing is that I need to know what the as is to save the mask to the server instead of downloading it to your machine.
I am struggling to encode and then save a png image onto the server. The file 'myImage.png' gets saved onto the server but it is 0kb. My actionscript is:
i have an ongoing project something like this [URL], same concept, upload image and the template sits above the uploaded image then save to the server. The problem is it only saves the template and without the uploaded image. So how can i save the template with the uploaded image? something like a screenshot on a specified width and height? Im still exploring actionscript specially as3.
Code: var jpgSource:BitmapData = new BitmapData (container_mc.width , container_mc.height); jpgSource.draw(container_mc);
[Code]....
image_mc is the container for the uploaded image since i want to edit the image then save the image with the template as my border or something like a picture frame (container_mc). Yeah i know you've seen this code in some tutorial, i just want to tweak it so that i can learn to manipulate the actionscript.
I have to a problem using the Flash Media Interactive Server Feature Explorer. I want use the sample: RecordStream. I can see the instance "RecordStream" in console FMS 3.5. and show me the video in app AIR, but does not save the .FLV in my server.
In Flash, I have the ability to save certain info onto the server. Now the problem is the user needs to be authenticated as admin in order to do so. I can't use sessions, since if you work longer than 20 minutes in the Flash application, the session is gone. The way I see it, I have 2 possibilities:
1. passing a parameter (bIsAdmin) to Flash from the Website.
2. Launch a http-get request, to get this value (bIsAdmin) from an ashx handler on application startup, when the session has not yet exired.
In my opinion, both possibilities are not really secure... So, which one is safer, 1 or 2? Or does anybody have a better idea ? In my opinion, 1 is safer, because with 2, you can just switch a packet tamperer in between, and bang, you're admin, with permission to save (or overwrite, =delete) anything.
I'm trying to encode and upload two (or more) images from Flash using JPGEncoder. I can upload a single image with no problem, but have never needed to upload two or more encoded images. This is the code I'm using to encode and upload a single image.
I'm currently working on a project - an online education system, and I need to make it possible for studs to introduce themselves in a 30 sec audioclip. I need to implement it with Adobe Flash. The problem is that I have no idea how the Flash + Red5 duo work together. There aren't that many helpful recourses online, at least for me since I'm a beginner at Flash. (I do mostly PHP stuff.)
1) When you connect to the server, how do you make it record audio from flash client? 2) After 30 secs, how do you stop recording and save file in a specific folder on a server?
I have a camera attached to a video object that is displayed on stage. When a user comes to the site they see themselves, but I want to be able to save the video and take a snapshot. How would I go about getting the data out of flash to the server?
im using fms to save datas like rdbms. Im using shared object for this. But I cant save more than one row of data into flash media server. What can I do for this purpose??
I'm trying to record audio from my microphone and save it out as an .FLV or .MP3 (or any other kind of audio format) file. I've gathered from my research that I need Flash Media Server which I do have access to but that's pretty much where the trail has stopped.I'm unable to find any concrete examples of doing this and would can point me in the right direction. I can use either AS2 or AS3 and this is agency work so I've got a pretty good set of tools at my disposal, just need to get somewhere with the research.
I'm creating a flash fun thing where you dress up a character by just dragging and dropping little images, everything is working fine.
I want to add an option to save the image you have created, I can do this but the problem is you have to set a movie clip to capture, the thing i want to capture is a few movie clips layered on top of each other(the finished character).[code]...
my website is flash-only and i have photo gallery, and if you click on a thumbnail it loads larger image in flash, and then you can click on it and see "Save As..." dialog.. you can find a nice example what i am talking about here [URL] and if you select one photo there is "DOWNLOAD IMAGE" :] it's not my web.
im looking for a script that can record audio from a mic and save it to a fms server i came across a video email script but would like to have just a audio one that can do the samething as the video email with out the video part.
I have a Flash AS 3.0 swf-based browser game. It's hosted on my site and communicates with a MySQL database via PHP using Flash's URLVariables. Everything works fine. The problem is, I want to be able to save the player's game after he leaves the webpage or closes his browser. How is this usually handled?
Is there a reliable event that fires when a swf is terminated? Is so, what is it? If not, what's the solution? Should I simply save the player's data every x seconds? That seems like it will bog down my server. I could have 10,000 people playing and I don't want to save each of their games every x seconds.
