I have a flash movie completed but now I want to only have the flash play in it's entirety one time during the visit of the site. How and where do I insert any code to make it only play once per visit?

I have a website that consists of 3 pages - About, Services, Contacts (every page is a separate html file). I have the same flash movie embed to every page (animated header intro). I want flash intro to play once and then stop. User can browser through these 3 pages, but flash shouldn't play anymore. Only if user closes the whole website (a browser, or a tab) the flash should refresh, and after user enters the website again it will play again once and stop.

And the movie clip and music start playing again while the first music is still playing. And it sounds as if it continuing to do this. How do I stop the music when the movie clips end. Is there some actionscript code that will stop this.

View 4 RepliesI do slide presentations on iPad via Flex IOS packager 4.6. The slides are swf's that have to be dynamically loaded at runtime because they change daily. Can't compile them in.
My slides load fine with animations and look great - but the animations on each slide loop. I can't stop them. When I decompile slide swf's I see the stop() commands there on each one. IOS just blows by these stop()'s though (PC doesn't). Interesting that the swf's load at all on IOS. I'd have thought the stop()'s would have prevented that. They do load though. IOS just doesn't honor the stop()'s. Animations play beautifully. Can I stop them some other way? Maybe externally from my main Flex code? Is there a way to stop a Flash animation without stop()? Maybe build the animation differently? Another product I've seen has solved this issue so I know a solution exists. When they play animations on IOS they stop.
I wrote this with the idea that it would stop my header from replaying a million times for repeat visitors. However it doesn't seem to be working correctly. I need a little direction, has anyone else done something similar to this? Also Isn't there a way to have it expire? like in a week or something?

View 6 RepliesI've created a menu that appears as a series of cubes. The action script for these boxes will work on a stand alone file... The main menu uses a series of buttons that work like variables and also works fine in a test file... when the movie for the "architecture" button is loaded it loads the content_mc and then sub menu goes nuts. The buttons continue to cycle their movie clips regardless of the mouse position.

as simple as it gets, right? Wrong, the preloader works however is get this error 1087: Syntax error: extra characters found after end of program. The preloader it self works it plays and when the movie is loaded it begins the movie, however the movie doesnt stop at any of my stop commands and keeps looping through itself over and over again till i exit the window.

I've 3 movieclip on stage which is mc1,mc2,mc3 at first they are alpha=0 What I want is when i click on revealBtn, 1 of them will show up as alpha=1.
But with my code below, sometimes I need to click about 5 times or more only can make all those mc show up.
Is there any solution for what I wanted?

I have a strange problem that I was hoping someone might resolve. I'm a new visitor to the Flash world from other development platforms, so the language seems pretty straightforward, but I have now spent a week and a half on this one bug.
Basically, I'm trying to play an F4V using an FLVPlayback component. However, it seems that the video only plays if the f4v is already in the client cache. If the cache is empty, or disabled, then the FLVPlayback component throws an Error 1000, which seems to suggest it's having trouble connecting/pulling the video off the server. But since it does work on the second visit, then I suspect that it does indeed perform the download -- it just THINKS it can't. [code]...

I have created custom flash interactions using action script 2.0 code. In that .swf file i imported in the powerpoint using articulate. When i click the articulate play/pause button the flash movie and audio files are does not stop.

I have no other actionscript in this whole .fla file except a stop();
I have a button, inside the button I have a movie clip at the OVER location.
That movie clip simply plays 10 frames, and at the last frame I set the action stop();
All I want it to do is stop these 10 frames from looping, while the scene keeps doing what it does. Instead, as soon as the 10th frame inside that movie clip plays, it stops the whole scene.
My text animation works perfectly, but doesn't repeat. How do I get this to repeat? I don't know Flash that well, but I just want this to play over and over.
