Xml :: Dynamic Questionnaire In Flex?

I want to make a template for questionnaires in Flex 3, that reads dynamic XML file and creates a questionnaire. An exemplary XML:

<question>
<q>Who was born earlier?</q>
<answer value="true">Vincent van Gogh</answer>

The amount of questions and answers may vary. The plan was to use nested repeaters with radio buttons (one for the questions and then another inside for the answers). I can save all question.q to an ArrayCollection, but how should I handle my answers, if there are few of them with the same "answer" tag within each question? And how can I access "value" property of each, to check if the user chose correct answer?

A retired social worker, beginner learning AS 3 scripting, I would like to try to use AS 3 to create a questionnaire for an eLearning lesson and am not sure how to script it. Each statement (questionnaire has 28 of these) to which the user responds has 11 choices: 'how much does this apply to you'; 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%. The user selects one of these (radio button?). Then, after completing all 28 items, the responses' values are totaled for the 28 items, divided by 28 to get the overall "score." Would also need an if/else: if total score >= 30, show one message, else if =< 29, show a different message. I've looked at some multiple choice quiz type example, but so far have been lost trying to apply these to 11 choices.

I have a contact form that I am modifying into a questionnaire form using Input text boxes and PHP. My PHP is simple, it consists of

And my actionscript is simple as well because its just a button that communicates the vars to my php

How would I implement this using a combo box (I know how to set one up but how do I send some Vars over to the PHP script.)

I have an Flex-Object with for example 3 properties.

myObj.prop1
myObj.prop2
myObj.prop3

I like to generate 3 Comboboxes to show the data.
No problem if I do it hardcoded in sourcecode.

But how can I find the prop1 to prop3 at runtime?

If next time I have 5 properties with different name it should generate 5 combos.

how can i create mx:LineSeries dynamically depending upon array collection values. Now only 4 line series is there but some times i have to show more as per the array collection values change ex: if one more status HoldProject added to array collection?

I have a four ToggleButton buttons that I want to behave as a group, so when one is clicked the others toggle off. I know you can do this with mx:ToggleButtonBar but I want to to use a spark skin-able component (ToggleButton). Is there a way to toggle a ToggleButton on and off programmatically or is there another way I can achieve my goal?

In my application I'm using a canvas and repeater inside HBox it is Dynamic,..now I want to keep a horizontal scrollbar for the same, I may display more than 50 canvas addresses inside that Hbox and repeater.Here is my code:

I have an application which receives dynamic XML data from a server. The structure of the XML is dynamic and the tags/attribute names cannot be predicted. NO row items can be hardcoded. The data is coming back from a database (imagine columns and rows), and the type of the data is known on the server side. how to achieve this. Its not neccessary to go with Array only. I may switch to whichever collection in which this is possible.

I am trying to create an desktop app where the user selects an XML doc via a FileSystemTree. Then at the click of a button, that xml doc selected will be loaded in as the XML doc of choice. So far I have it working only if i hardcode in the path, but i need to make it so that the user can select the file dynamically.

Replace A Dynamic Image On Flex?

I am creating an image dynamically on flex. This images changes (as in changes image source) when the user clicks on it. Images are PNG format and I replace it with this code:

img.source = PATH_TO_IMAGE;

The problem with this is when I replace the image is it is not smooth even if you set the image property to smoothBitmapContent.

Is there a way to smoothen images when you are trying to replace the source?

I have a bunch of dynamic validators that I create in my application.I have an mxml which contains a s:DataGroup.The DataGroup contains an itemRenderer. In this itemRenderer, I have a combobox which I want to validate.I perform the validation like this ont the creationComplete of the itemRenderer:[code]Of course, when I do this, the itemrenderer is recycling, and the validator appears in places in which i do not want it to.

I have a container with a vertical layout inside which I have two other child containers "A" and "B". n the first container "A" there is a component that I would like to resize dynamically based on the available display size. To to that I tried listening to the resize event of the main container and do my measures accordingly. That works somewhat until the parent container reaches a clipping size : container "B" gets clipped earlier than "A" because it contains much more stuffs : As soon as the parent container reaches "B"'s clipping size, it does not resize anymore (so no more resize event either) thus preventing me from updating my component's display in "A".

I have DataGrid with Dynamic Columns. The columns will contain ItemRendrer. I'm not familiar with dynamically adding ItemRenderer.
