I'm trying to get Flex and OpenX working together. I can get the ads to work when I view the site on a Mac using Firefox or Safari. But, if I use a PC with IE, I get error #1090 which is an XML parser failure.
Apparently, there is malformed XML. How do I check the XML that OpenX produces? What's the best way to find the nasty node?
I'm trying to get Flex and OpenX to work together. OpenX is returning XML. I've got two Flex classes that clean-up the XML and place the ads on my site. Unfortunately, I get Error #1090: XML parser failure, when I test it. And I can't figure out why.The first class is:

I'm trying to get Flex 3 and OpenX to work together. Everything works great in Safari and Firefox. But, I get an XML parser error in Internet Explorer, which makes me want to rip my hair out and drink turpentine.
I've tried to simplify the problem as best I can. Basically, I take the adReturn and then turn it into xml.

I don't think that IE likes adReturn, which is below:

View 4 RepliesIs there a way to inspect HTTPS traffic from Flex applications compiled to SWF files?I'm trying to use Fiddler for this, have added DO_NOT_TRUST_FiddlerRoot to my Trusted RootCertification Authorities so my IE now can access other HTML sites that would normally complain about untrusted certificate. However, the HTTPS traffic from the SWF file still doesn't appear in Fiddler and, in fact, the Flex app wouldn't work (HTTPS with a self-signed certificate is not supported by Flex apps I believe). Is there a way around it?Update: To be clear, I am interested in the traffic between the SWF file running under Flash Player and the server (typically, Flex components like HTTPService will be used for this). The SWF file itself can be served via HTTP or HTTPS, it doesn't really matter.Clarification 2: Don't assume that the source code is available for the SWF file. I can't change the flash banner, even by replacing them with other images, or the SWF file with images, it's like a nightmare from hell.
There are the OpenX code files on the server in a folder, OpenX, and plenty of explanations on the internet about how to login to the OpenX website, but i need to login into OPENX on my website. the V.P. is going to flay this guy
I've been working on an FXG Editor, and I'm using the the senocular transform tool to move, rotate, scale and skew an object.
Is it possible to detect if the the Display object has been skewed just from inspecting the matrix of that DisplayObject? even if said object has been move, scaled and rotated as well.
I want to only serialize the matrix of an object to FXG if has been skewed and not if it has just been rotated, moved, or scaled.

View 1 RepliesI am trying to access html files protected by basic authentication. Below is the code to do that but I still get the authentication dialog. I checked the fiddler and found that for the first request authorization header is present but for the subsequent requests which is requested to load the .js, css & images the authorization header is not added. This is the reason I am getting the auth dialog.
Is there a way to add authorization header to the subsequent requests as well?

I have a TabNavigator, and each tab is a Module. One of the modules is labelled Units and the full code of the module is posted in this post. There are several problems:
1) Forms are not populated with data from the datagrid selection.
2) Selecting a row and clicking delete gives the very-common error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
A trace on the valueObject unit within the selectionChangeHandler function gives NULL. Why? Note: In other modules (other tabs of the TabNavigator), I have DropDownLists populated with units. This means that the valueObject Unit is defined in the other modules. However, valueObjects should be private to modules, and not shared.

I am working on a grid example in flex using advanced grid control. I know we can easily group data by specifying the field name. At the group node level, other than the gorup name I want to be able to show data in the rest of the cells ( calculated data ) and I am looking for some dataRowBound event or similar to be able to hook some data in it.
Example: Grid displaying list of towns grouped by state. At the group level ( for each state) I want to show the total number of towns in each state. Here how can i show the total number in the town column.
I've embedded a MovieClip symbol with the [Embed] syntax into my AS3 project, which I'm compiling with the Flex 3 SDK. That MovieClip has instances of other clips within it that are placed on stage with instance names. I can't just access them by instance name like I would if I were compiling with the Flash IDE. Flex not able to run CMD.exe when application installed in C:Program Files (x86). When I run application as Administrator mode it is working fine.
