I have array values like this,,

and i want to show these values on the Yaxis and months on Xaxis....
I have two Qns,
1) how can I pass this array to Bar chart or column chart.
2) how do I need to show months on Xaxis. beacuse I'm asking this regarding, I have kept a filters that even if we want to see some months or a particular months or perticalar span of months... there on Xaxis it need to change the months dynamically depending on the filters..... (for ex, on Xaxis the values should be (Jan, Apr, Jun,Oct) if i select the 3 months period filter....)
I have written a logic to collect the values of those particular months into an array, but not understading how to pass this array to Bar chart,, beacuse there I don't know what Xfield and Yfield to be given....
I have a line chart that is updated every so and so seconds, similar to the one you see in Windows' Task Manager. The chart goes right-to-left, with the most recent data on the right, and going leftwards. How would I invert the values of the X axis so that the lowest value is on the right and the highest on the left? It's a LinearAxis.I tried making it a CategoryAxis and putting the numbers in manually, but that doesn't work the way it should (the labels are not aligned with the ticks).

View 1 RepliesI have developed a flex application using the data visualization components. I am now trying to optimize the application and one of approaches I am trying is to use Runtime Shared Libraries.I have configured Flex Builder to deploy with Runtime Shared Libraries and have added the .swz file for the framework, datavisualization and rpc share libraries. After deploying, my application loads, however my axis values within each of my charts are missing. The axes themselves are shown, however they do not have their label units displayed. The series themselves are displayed too.I have tried this using the 3.4 SDK and also the 3.2 SDK within Flex Builder. I also tried compiling flex using the mxmlc ANT tasks and got the same results.I made sure that the framework RSL is getting loaded first and I also made sure that the global flash cache has been cleared before I tested.I can see from my access logs that the .swz files are getting loaded the first time I make a request for my application, so I am confident that I properly cleared the flash player global cache.
Does anyone know why my axis values would be missing only when I deploy with RSL??? Switching back to Merged mode, my application works fine and it is only when I deploy with RSLs that I get the issue.I have also tried to compile using only the framework RSL and not the datavisualization or rpc RSLs (keeping them in merged mode) and I get the same results, no axis values.
Is it possible to create below type of pie charts and values create dynamically (please go through the link)?
View 3 RepliesI am trying to use AlivePDF to save a chart into a .pdf file. However, when I try to save my chart, it ends up clipping half of the chart in the pdf so it isn't even fully visible. It seems that the screencapture that AlivePDF took to generate my pdf was too small.I am trying to get a chart from a sample to work with sample code for using alivepdf that I picked off the web.[code]

I have a scene in flash, where I have two movie clip buttons. Each button is labeled with "over", "down" and "up" state. I am using an URL with a variable at the end: [URL]. When the value is equal 1 I would like to see the "over" state on the first button.

But unfortunately it is not working. I created a dynamic text field, where I want to display the value of the variable I am passing, but I dont know why it is not updated, when I type the value in the address bar.

I have a function that checks for something when the user clicks a button. if that something is found, an alert comes up saying that it has been found and asks them if they would like to allow this to happen, or undo the action that caused the something to be found. the code looks like this:

upon pressing "Yes" or "No", the conflictAnswer function will be called... it looks like this:

My xml file is dynamically generated using PHP and the filename=currentloggedin user name(i.e. username.xml).How should I load the xml into SWC? Will Flashvars work? I have a HTML page that has PHP code to get username and the same file embes the swc. How to pass the PHP varibale to my SWC?
View 0 RepliesBasically, I already have access to a tool (not flash, no source code available) that does all these complicated calculations based on dozens of variables and generates 2 charts/graphs based on those calculations. I'm making a "light" version that will only use 2 of those variables and a set of "standard values" that will act as a lead n/conversation starter.So, I have to display 120 different charts/graphs (60 pairs of graphs) that will be calculated by selecting variables from 2 different drop downs (one has 10 selections, the other has 6).Each chart is made up of 15 different data points that will be displayed on the chart with lines connecting them, so a total of 30 data points for each "set" of variables.
Here are my options:1) plug the numbers into the tool and grab a screenshot of the charts. Since the charts are ugly, I would have to physically re-draw each of the 120 charts to look the way it needs to in order to match the rest of the application2)...and this seems like the right way to go if I can figure it out...I can export the data points from the tool as xml, I use that to build arrays within flash and then dynamically plot the points and draw the lines. The only problem I'm facing conceptually is that the range on the y axis will change so I'll need to dynamically create the horizontal range line indicators, populate the range fields based on that range and keep everything constrained within the vertical limits of the chart.

Each child has some textInput elements.Now,i want to send data written in currently selected accordian's child's textInputs.I have created a function "configure" which is called when someone clicks a button. That function checks as to which child of accordian is selected. Whichever is selected, the textInputs' text of that child are stored in locally defined variables.how to pass these variable to the HTTPService i am sending at the end of function configure.

View 3 RepliesI'm creating a small size Flex movies which contains two line charts, at the moment the size of the release build swf is 343KB, which is too large for our needs.
I've tried changing the loading of the SWC file to Runtime Shared Libraries, but I found that this removed the text of the charts (the text for the x and y axis). Why would the text be removed when the Framework linkage is set as a Runtime shared library?

I have committed to doing something that I thought would be really easy, but I can't get it to work.I want to be able to call an HTML page containing a Flash movie and have that Flash movie pick up a value from the URL of the page in which it sits.So, I want to create a link to the HTML page such as: then want the Flash movie on mypage.html to read in the value John and put it into the movie variable myname.I can see how to do it using pre-coded parameters as part of the HTML that loads the SWF, but I want the value to be determined by the calling link, not predetermined within the HTML on the movie page.I also don't want to have to create a dynamic HTML page for my movie if I can avoid it.

The source for the image has to be set based on a property present in the data provider. The problem is, I am not able to access the BarSeriesItem in the fnSetSource() method.

I am trying display values in a datagrid in my application. I have all the values as an xml file. I had only one set of record n the XML file, to fill only one row of the data grid. While trying to store the values from the XML file to an Array Collection in the application File using the code, i.e.,

I get an error, saying Error No# 1034: Type coercion failed cannot convert mx.utils::ObjectProxy to Array.But If I have two record sets in the XML file, it works fine. If there is only one set, I gHere is my xml file:

I am using AS2 and passing some values from flash to php, flash files is on page file1.php values are passing fine, it pass values when user click button. When button is pressed

When it pass the values, it refresh the page and Flash File is also refreshed and Flash file start from frame 1 and all the values on flash becomes default in other words when user click "file1.php" is submitted, so the page is refreshed What is the solution, that after passing values the page remains or flash remains as it is (not refresh the contents).
