This is a combined Dreamweaver/Flash question. I have added to a webpage a flash movie, once I navigate away from that page and then back again I get a white flash when the Flash movie page loads. I have looked through the forum history and tried some various fixes, such as changing the .swf's background color, didn't work, add code in dreamweaver which embeds a darker color, nada.

I designed a site in AS3 and real quick in less then a second the 800x800 size of the flash template pops up in white then the preloader shows up to load the site.

View 4 RepliesI am trying to load a html text from a XML with flash cs4 but It loads with huge whitespace before and after the text. In an older, different version of the site made in AS2 it loads the same xml with no whitespace.I've tried setting xml.ignoreWhiteSpace = true but it doesn't seem to change anything.

I have an online application that loads a variety of different languages. I have one main interface file that loads the appropriate language that is needed for the end user. These languages are being loaded from a txt file encoded using UTF - 8. Most of the languages are displayed fine in the dynamic text fields that are all embedded in Arial. The issue I have recently run into is with the French and Czech languages. In both languages the white space that follows a number is always removed. For example "20 minutes" would be displayed as "20minutes". Then in the Czech language I am also loosing spaces after certain letters, such as "a" and "v".

Clicking the white square would change the background color to white and should also display the text ''white'' in the dynamic text box. View 1 RepliesThere is a white space above the flash file. My file is 360 pix high, but I need the default bar at the bottom. So I set it to be 400. But the extra 40 pix got shared by the bar and an unwanted white space on the top.
If I set it to 360, no space, but no bar either. In either case, there is an extra 2 pix double lines on top. I want to remove the space and double lines.

A command window open placing two files in a script folder and then I went to the browser (safari in this case) and there was my webpage with a white space where the Flash video should have been.

When I click on different pages in my flash, for a split second, a white flash shows up, almost as if it's just a blank white page. How can I stop this from happening? It only seems to happen when I loaded the flash into an HTML document. Is there a code I can put in th actionscript to stop it?

With IE the flash and any images next to it butt against each other like they're supposed to, but under Firefox the white space shows up. How do you get rid of it?

have just built a website in Dreamweaver CS4 which has a different Flash banner on each page with a fade in/out text. My problem is that in Firefox the whole screen flashes white for a second when moving from page to page. It seems to work fine in IE. The link is [URL]
View 7 RepliesI've changed nothing that I know of in making flash slideshows using swish and exporting to .swf format for inclusion in Dreamweaver except that now all of a sudden the flash item has a white background -- but only on my computer it seems when testing online; locally, it doesn't do that when testing and when using a different computer it doesn't do that. Any idea why a flash item would have a white background in some cases and not in others like that?
Like I said, I've changed nothing and have never had to put any parameters in place or do anything else of the kind; the swish program itself specifies the background as red, not transparent (not that the page the flash item is on has a white page anyway). I don't know if this is a swish, flash, dreamweaver problem or some bug on my particular computer that I can't figure out.

View 2 RepliesI have a WP 3.0.2 site. When I try to embed a swf file I have uploaded, all I get to show up, in either a post or a page, is a white area the size of the height & width paramaters. In order to play the flash video, I need to right click and select "play" from the menu so watch the movie.
I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong or why there are not play, pause stop, controls showing up and why the video preview image does not show up either

I have tried changing background colour to Black #000 in all fields but the white background is still there before Flash shows up on the page.
I am embedding the Flash in a html page using CSS to have it align center middle. I think that's where the problem is.
