Apr 6, 2010I am doing a project on an interactive website that contains flash animations. I have to incorporate a voice that explains what is happening in the animations. I am using my own voice for this. I have recorded my voice and saved it as .mp3 files. between each animation there are about 6-10 audio files. I am pretty sure I can import the sounds into the flash library and drag the sounds on the timeline and sync the sound with the animations that way but is it possible to control the sound using actionscript as I have to incorporate buttons that allows the user to play, pause and stop the animation and the audio. Or can I only use actionscript to achieve this.

I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?

Jan 10, 2011I would like to have a map of the 50 U.S. states. I would like to click on a state and have a small pop-up window that displays the temperature of the capital of that state. After 5 seconds the pop-up closes. Behind the scenes I would also like the clicks being tracked by a database. I am digging around weather.com trying to figure out linking RSS feeds to Flash and I am thinking MySql to count the clicks. Does anyone have any tips or a quicker, easier way to set this up?

Now my next challenge is, how do I cause a word to apear? I created some objects that I want to select and cause a word to appear and color to change, once I hover over the object. It is like the same method when you create a 'start button.' Do I create another sub scene in the action script command?

Feb 25, 2012I cannot publish anymore my Web site. When I do "test animation" I got no error and my site is Cool! But When I try to publish is, it stop at the middle of the bar and say that the police should be incorporated with "Texte -> Incorporate the Police". I did it many times, saving the doc and tring to republish my doc with no result. Everytime I try to publish I got the same mistake! I cannot compile my server anymore and make any progress.

my client (Who uses Firefox, on a PC) has to click on the button twice to view the PDF. The first time they click on the button, they have to close the blank window that pops up and then click on the Flash button again to view the PDF. It opens fine the second time. Is this just a PC problem? On my Mac (Safari) it works fine, but (Firefox) seems to want to save the document before I can view it.

Dec 6, 2006If I "Right Mouse Click" on a Flash SWF file embedded in a page and click "Print" it prints just the flash, in perfect colour etc etc..How can I achieve this exact operation, but as a button in Flash? So it prints just as if I did the above operation.
As an extra, if you know how - Is there any way I can default the page to print out "Landscape" too ?

If you press left click and dont release it, and then press right click (contextual menu appears) and then left click again, the first "drag" action is never released.
Its like, I need to make that my right click says: "hey left click, your job is done, you can go home now".

Basically, the user needs to be able to type in their zip code and once they hit the submit button, they are then taken to a page where it lists all locations available. The notes say that this adds "mouse clicked" to the output pannel
indeed while previewing the file in flash mode clicking on the object adds this line to the output pannel each time.but while previewing in other modes such as html it does not
so what exactly is the output pannel does it store data which can later be called upon or does it have no use?

Question: Is it possible to simulate a mouse click on a button/movie clip in a Flash object embedded in a web page? Googling only shows ways to simulate a mouse click on a DOM element, and ways that require the ActionScript to be changed to implement a JavaScript interface. Or is this simply impossible?

As3.0 :: Flash - Mouse Click Handling In Gallery?
Sep 26, 2011I'm playing around with a gallery. I want to add some more functionality.
HERE's the initial code:

I added two buttons for navigation.
goFWD that would have a code imgFwd.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, go_out);
but by adding this event to the button, button itself does the tween, and now the mc:MovieClip.
I don't know why it does that? maybe any ideas?
I thought, if there's such a thing in AS3.0 - a click on this button makes AS think that mc:MovieClip is clicked?? is there anything like that?
how to make it go forward with a button...
