ActionScript 1/2 :: Video Playing From Starting Point When Play After Pause
Oct 7, 2011
if i click 'Play' Button video playing normally, after i click 'Pause' button video pause, next i click 'Play' Button video playing from starting point. what is the problem
solution pls...... Code:
I have a video that I don't want the beginning of, I know how to set the Cue Points but I am not very familiar with ActionScript 3.0 and would like to learn some code to start my video out at a cue point so I can put this video inside another flash video.
I have been trying to do this locally on my machine by using the download simulator but the simulator doesnt seem to work especially when I give the player a 2GB file to load over a 14kbps connection, the file seems to load within a split second and absolutely no buffering occurs.My problem below needs to be answered before I can persue and purchase and set up a web server to run FMS as a production server, but understandably I do not want to do this until I know it is possible to do what I want to do.
Let say I have put a 60min video on the server which I want to stream. But I only want to stream the last 20mins of it. Am I able to set the player to stream from the last 20mins and for there to be no progressive download required before? I need the stream to start almost immediately from the start of the last 20mins and for it to continue plaing until the remainder of the video completes So essentially I only want to load a part of the movie into a stream and disgard the part of the movie I do not want to show.
Im trying to make a FLV cue point pause the FLV and also pause the entire timelines inside the swf. Then everything would continue playing when the user would click a "continue" button.
Basically I have a flash presentation that load an external FLV and a bunch of graphics that go with the video. At one point I need everything to pause so a small flash game can come in and the user can play it and then when they are ready to move on they can click "continue" and the FLV would continue where it left off along with the rest of the timeline.
I have recently "inherited" several websites that feature 1 to 10 minute video animations in SWF formatOne of my challenges is to get these files to appear or play in a timely manner so that the viewer does not loss interest as it is loading. My questions will start with file size.reduce or minimize the size of published SWF files while still maintaining high quality video output? Second, how about this business of preloading.I don't really understand that term but my thinking is that if a large movie could be loading while another, shorter, movie is playing, or a graphic displaying, that this could be useful in my case. Lastly, how about streaming in general. Are there ways to optimally use a given download speed to efficiently stream SWF video?
I have a set of MP3s that I am playing randomly (SoundA = random number in this script below). I created a play, pause, and stop button for the MP3. The play and stop buttons work perfectly, but I am having problems with the pause button... It does stop the MP3 when clicked, but when play is then clicked after pause, it restarts the whole MP3 rather than starting where the MP3 was paused.
I have three buttons, which starts three separate videos...click on button starts video, that's ok, but then video is not over, if to click again,it's not starts video from beginning. I'm talking about one video. I must push on other button and then on that again to start it from beginning.
Using the tutorials on the gotoandlearn main page I built a custom video player that loads the videos from an xml file and it works great. At present the video starts playing as soon as the video opens, I would like the video to only start playing after the user clicks the play button.
I have created my first flash video and wish to allow the visitors to play the movie themselves instead of having the movie play automatically also have a stop or pause button too.
It's been a long time since I've done any work with actionscript, and alas I've forgotten nearly everything. I've tried to look for a tutorial that would explain basic animation with actionscript, but the one that I found on Kirupa was no longer there.
Basically I'd like to do this:On the stage I have a movieclip and I'd like the movieclip to move along the x-axis to a certain point and then back to the starting point again. The moving speed of the movieclip should also be adjustable.
This is the set up so far. Loader1, is playing till home.swf is loaded. I am using the loadClip function for it. onLoadProgress plays the first bit of Loader1.
What I want to do is within onLoadInit() = function(_mc:MovieClip) {
root.ldr1.addEventListener("played", function() {_mc.gotoAndPlay(1);}); // add listener to Loader 1 _mc.stop();
[Code]....
The problem is that it is not playing the function. Also _mc.stop(); is not stopping the loaded file. It keeps playing, though _mc._alpha is working fine.
How can I make sure the event is being dispatched?? Home.swf ( the _mc being loaded), is within a separate movieclip, over the loader.
How do I pause not play the external FLV video until I hit the "Play" button? I don't want my video to play immediately Couldn't figure out which code to edit or add in my AS.Below are my codes
Code: Select allvar nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
I have a project where I am bringing in one video with a cue point at the very end with the name of "End." I'm trying to have the next video play when the first video reaches that cue point. I keep getting this error: 1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: MetadataEvent. Here is the relevant code I believe:
I've got a Flash file with a video symbol on the stage with the instance name 'videoPlayer'. I'm controlling video playback using the following script to play the video, check when it finishes, then resume playing the rest of the timeline:
stop(); var duration:Number = 0; var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection(); nc.connect(null); var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc); videoPlayer.attachVideo(ns); [Code]....
I've then also got 2 buttons on the stage for pause and play. The pause button is working fine, with the following script attached to it:
Adobe Flash Builder: How to make a function to play video starting from one second and ending in another? So I havein MXML simple video player tag. I need some function to play that video from second X to second Y and pause it. How to do such thing?BTW: we asume file is embeded into SWF.
I'm new to Flash, and obviously AS3 (or AS in general) and am currently making a menu in which I have 2 video files.I want people to be able to play and pause (and stop) these videos.I currently have them playing and pausing using the FLVplayback method with no skins (have to make my own buttons). Though this is working I really need the video files to be embedded into the .swf/.fla as apposed to an external video.I have imported the videos into the library but they're not in use atm.
Is it possible to tell FLVplayback to use a embedded file from the library?If not is it possible to make a embedded video play/pause/stop in AS3 any other way? I couldn't seem to get it to which is why I went to FLVplayback method.
How to get a video to play upon rollover and pause upon rolling out? Here's an example: [URL]. Roll over the dark gray stripe and click on Contact. Roll over the videos to start them. I have not been able to find any info out there on how this is done.
I have embedded the video in flash using player. Now I want a play/pause button for video.I am using ns.pause();to pause the video, its working.here ns=video instance name.but the play button is not working when I use below code
Building a custom skin for a flash video player but I do not want any play pause button.stead I want the video scroller to play and pause on a click event.Problem is I want to change the graphics on the scroller to show the user when the video is paused and being played? thought this would be easy but I have been tearing out me hair to get it too work.
I have an animation that's heavy and needs to go into the flvPlayback component. It needs to pause automatically and call a sound effect that repeats until the user clicks the play button which is a movie clip that appears via addChild(). It's being loaded by an external swf currently. It works now, just takes a while to load.\
I've created a video player using the flv component. I have images of cue points. The user should be able to click on an image and the video should skip or start at that cue point
Basically the code below has been designed so that a video starts at 52 seconds (rather than the beginning) when you press play. It works good right now, starts where it's supposed to, but I want to change the code so that it autoplays the video starting at 52 seconds. The problem with this though, is that when I try and set it for autoplay, the video starts at the beginning and doesn't wait for it to load to 52 seconds before it autoplays. Any input on the coding? I need it just so that the autoplay doesn't kick in until the video is loaded to the 52 second point
If i broadcast a video and divide it into packets, and when a users connect to the netgroup and receive the object from the group( the user will receive from specific time let say actual video is 10 minutes and user connect to the group, and seek video for last 5 minutes). how can i achieve this task. is it possible ? i am using flash player 10.1
