ActionScript 2.0 :: Constructing A Quiz Using Flash Learning Interactions?

I am looking at the creation of a quiz using the Learning Interactions in Flash.I noticed that when I place say a Multiple Choice question on the stage that the area which says 'Question will appear here' is a dynamic text field.This renders the final text bitmapped. Is there any way of getting the text to look like smooth like the rest of my work?I have tried to anti alias it for Animation and Readability but it doesn't change.nd in all honesty set against the rest of my work the text looks crap.

I am using a learning interactions quiz at the end of an animated movie. Because it is entertaining I would rather not launch as a standalone quiz. Everything works perfectly when the quiz is on its own timeline that starts at frame1, but whether I use loadMovie or use the quiz as a movieclip, or start the quiz on frame 1460 on the scene1 timeline the calculate score control doesn't work. It is called mc, frameNav and it comes with the Flash quiz templates. The AS associated with that mc is below.

with a "what should be fairly simple" problem I am having with the quiz template. I have a 5 frame quiz that I've developed from the template. All 5 interactions are Hot Object interaction types. The problem I am having is when I go from one frame to the next, the Hot Objects do not reset. Whatever the selection from the previous slide was, remains in a selected state.
I've tried renaming the Interactions in the Component Inspector, but that doesn't work. If I put some other interaction between two Hot Object Interactions, no problem. It's only when they are consecutive.

Anyone know where to start thinking about logic for an XML quiz with multiple correct answers, that when the user gets the question right, that question is removed from the random array of questions so we never need to answer it again?

I have a number of instances of the same movie in a frame. I have named all this instances using the form: movieclipname1, movieclipname2... movieclipnameN.I want to control everyone of them so i have to reference everyone of them using it's own name.Is it possible to use a loop where I will constructing the name of each movie ?[code]

I'm trying to simulate gravitational acceleration by constructing a function that will subtract from the Player object's yVelocity every half a second. For now, I'm getting 1180: Call to a possibly undefined function spawn but I'm sure there are other things wrong with the code.

I am trying to construct an equilateral triangle with the following code, but I am not seeing what I would expect to. I would expect to see a triangle drawn to the stage, but I don't see one. I think there must be something wrong in terms of the location of the tri sprite on the screen.

UPDATE: I can now see the triangle but it is not filled in. It seems to have the generally-correct shape, but I would expect for it be 3 sided, rather than 4.

I've gotten far on my own just using online tutorials and dinking around in Flash on my own but my boss(es) are starting to ask for more complex stuff that I simply can't learn by just piecing together my Flash education.I know there's many, many books out there that will teach you Flash but can anyone recommend any particular one(s) that are more concentrated in creating Web elements as opposed to game or animation development?

What would be a good resource for an experienced programmer to learn Flash?Consider a very seasoned programmer that doesn't require any teaching of programming concepts and that already programmed Javascript. Someone who never created a Flash file, or even know what Flex is. Someone who could probably learn ActionScript in a day but still needs to learn how to apply it.

I'm having trouble getting two buttons to do anything. Right now I'm in the process of learning Flash to make a customized video player. I have a rewindButton and a playButton and both have up, over, down, hit assigned but when I run the video and hover over the buttons the mouse changes to a text cursor. No colors change and the buttons aren't clickable.I followed the Flash Video Basics 1 and 2. Also, when I take the // off of the ns play bnc.flv line, the audio echos. I have no idea what's going on.

I have this frame where in the button links will change whenever the textbox changes. Here is an attached sample image so you could imagine what I am trying to say. For the
textboxes (instance anme: voca2_pg and voca3_pg)
it should be 10-20 then when next button is clicked, it will be
20-3030-4040-5050-6060-7070-8080-9090-100
For short, the next and back button will operate the textboxes.
but if I type for example 25 (on voa2_pg textbox), it will show 25-35 (basically getting 10 numbers in all)
ex. I typed 43it will look like: 43 - 53 or if I type 88it will look like: 88 - 98 And then the purple button below also will change every numbering..10 - 20 the AS is:

As I have done all my work for the week already I have been given the basically pointless takes of creating generic functions, classes and maybe components for a number of possible e-learning interactions for the projects we have, things such as sliders, drag and drops, multiple choice questions, scenario driven things and so on. How would I go about making things like this generic? The graphics will always be different and more then likely so will the kind of things needed from them, in many cases we don't know the capacity these things will be used in!

I have a simple quiz (Q and A) to design that contains both input fields as well as dynamic fields which gets a value (text or number) from an onClick action. When i submit the form, using the code from this thread (http://board.flashkit.com/board/show...hreadid=766156), i managed to get the input fields content to get saved on to the CSV file, however the dynamic content doesn't. it only works when i literally type the value in the text field.

I am having trouble loading a quiz.swf into another another movie. To generate my quiz I goto
File > New > Templates > Quiz > Quiz_style_1
And in the first frame of the example quiz I add:

Then I publish the quiz as testquizex.swf, and I can test this movie and it works fine by itself. Then in a different movie I start with a blank scene I add a keyframe and I insert

Now the movie imports and loads into the frame and I can navigate through to the first question page, but the quiz doesn't actually work anymore i.e. drop targets dont work and the score won't increase. Is there anything else I have to do to the stock quiz template to make it importable into another project?

I'd like it to display a question on one page, then have a next button which takes the user to another page telling them if that question was correct or not, and if it is correct they can move on to the next question (by clicking another next button) and if they got it wrong, have to go back and answer it again. However I have no clue how to do this! which includes a quiz. Would it be a better idea to create the quiz in Flash or something and then embed it into my Java application? Or just do the whole thing in Java?

a) total of 150 questions divided in 4 modules
b) a time limit of 180 mts
c) option box or radio button for choices
d) mark for review functionality
e) negative marking
f) final review of correct and wrong answers
this is very similar to BITSAT exam conducted in India, by BITS PILANI as a online exam.

I have made a quiz from mixing and matching from various tutorials of the internet, and now want to make the questions (multiple choice) and possibly the answers appear shuffled. The xml looks like this:

im fairly new to using actionscript i am making a quiz at the moment it has a few features.
Signup - Done
Login - Done
Admin - Not started
101 - Questions - 10 Done for testing
All info submitted by php/mysql - Done
So far as it says above i have 10 questions setup i use a php script to submit answers to mysql and update the users score after checking the answer from mysql. The questions are all written out on a keyframe each with radio buttons and checkboxes depending on the question. Well anyway i will get to the point.
I have can test the quiz and can get to question 4 before i get undifiend from the radio buttons on that frame i dont know why i keep getting it it is setup the same as the first 3 questions with the same code but the radiogroup is named differently.This may be terrible code but it worked for the first 3 so i dont see why its not working for the rest of them :S

I am still using flash 6.0, the version the school gave me, anyway first of all are there any updates available somewhere? I'm still with the original 6.0000000 version. I am creating a flash quiz using the templates available, it's really easy and everything is going well. However, is there a way to redirect the user (getURL) if he has a percentage of say, 80% or higher?
