Nov 28, 2009I have an interactive map that I would like to script so that when a county is clicked, it sends through to a page called results.php this HTML table:

So County and MerchantType are fields in a SQL table. The script needs to tell the results.php page that County A and MerchantType B has been sent.
Where A is the name of the county and B is ALL (the default i've chosen for MerchantType)

Oct 18, 2009I used HTTPService POST method to call a php file that returns me an xml type of result like

This result is obtained after the php files queries a database. The database contain other information too like (height, gender, education and address)Now i have a DataGrid (having two columns: NAME and AGE) and a Form below the DataGrid. I have displayed the above mentioned xml data in the DataGrid using the dataprovider="{userRequest.lastResult.User}" attribute.
I now want to use the itemclick=itemClickEvent(event) so that when a user click on a row of the DataGrid other information related to the clicked row like (height, gender, education etc) may appear in the form which is placed below the DataGrid in the GUI. For now my itemClickEvent, look like:

Flex :: Initializing Details List And Dynamically Changing It
May 4, 2010I have three lists and a button. Depending up on the selected items in first two list and after clicking the button I have to display the items in details list.
-In first list I am displaying names of employees
-In second list displaying managers names
-Then if I select one employee name and one managers name then after clicking button corresponding employee and managers details should be displayed in the third list.
The problem is with initializing the details list and dynamically changing it.

Php :: Hiding Xml From Users While Passing It Into Flash?
Oct 29, 2009We have a little in-house LMS with courses built in Flash. Scores are updated and retrieved with POSTs to PHP scripts which query a MySQL database. All the course content and quiz questions are in xml files. Those XML files are easily accessible from a user's Temporary Internet Files (sort of SCORM style, for those familiar with it) and while you'd have to be pretty desperate to cheat at something like a Fire Safety test, it's still a vulnerability we'd like to solve.
I intend to move the quiz data (and eventually, the course content) into a MySQL database, then probably build the XML in PHP and echo that to the Flash course (as we've been doing to update and retrieve assessment scores). I think I could limit how and when the xml is displayed by passing hashes and shared secrets and whatnot between the PHP page and Flash, but this only limits outside access, and anyone viewing the course legitimately will still see the XML passed around (I think..).
Surely I'm not reinventing fire here. Is there a method or a technology in existence that allows the safe, discrete passage of xml into Flash?
Flash :: SQLite With Actionscript (AIR) For All Users
Sep 27, 2010I would like to save settings for an AIR application to a local SQLite database. Wherever I read, it's recommended that you use File.applicationStorageDirectory to save the database file.
My problem is that in most cases, the AIR application will be first started by an administrator that configs and setup the application (and save the settings to database) and later used by different users. And what I would like to know is if there is possible to save the database to a location that every user can load it from? As I understand it, File.applicationStorageDirectory points to the user directory? There is probably possible too make the admins set correct permissions and stuff, but I don't want to make it difficult too install...
Flash :: Users Cannot See Videos On Website?

One of the users that the videos do not run for him has Windows operating system & Internet explorer browser.
I've put a check in the videos page to check if the user has the required flash version installed or not to run the video, but even if that user installs the latest flash version he keeps getting my check message, as in this screenshot: [URL]...
Flash 9 :: Users Seeing All Frames Without Regards To Stop();
Aug 13, 2008I made a game with Adobe CS3 and posted it on the internet, and some users (very few, but some) have reported that the game doesn't work, it just runs through every frame without regards to stop() or anything else..
It's at 50fps, which might matter, and it's located at [URL] if you may need to take a look at it.
I just need to know if this is something that I can fix on my end, or if these people may need to update their flash player or what else it might be?
ActionScript 3.0 :: Sending User Details To PHP For Creating Session Variables
Jun 3, 2010I have a webpage where user enters details. These details are sent to php and session variables are created. My new swf then grabs these variables and displays them in a movie. Now the whole idea is for this movie clip with the details then to be sent to someone as a link. But, if the receiver then opens this link, they wont have the session variables though, and the details will not display.
