Sep 10, 2008I made a flash website with photo galleries using a component that I bought online. The component is loading the image in a thumbnail scroll bar via a XML file and the full size image display in a UILoader. So far nothing special. But when I reach a certain amount of pictures in the gallery, the scroll panel get stuck while loading and doesn't display the full size image. Then the thumbnails don't react at all.

stage.fullScreenSourceRect = new Rectangle(video.x, video.y, video.width, video.height);
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN;
But this does not allow me to go back to normal screen, not even i use:
stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.NORMAL

Oct 24, 2011i want to rotate 3D an Image called img1 in Flex. I want to rotate it around y axis 180 degree. I can do this by using 3D effect already built in Flex but i want to do a bit more different. I want during rotating, there's another image called img2 appear on back of img1 (in default case, the image appear on the back is img1) and when rotating finish, the image will be img2.

Jul 28, 2011I would like to ask how do I extend my display on 2 moniters with flash in full screen? My stage size is 1600*600, I want the stage to be extended and display in both moniters. Each moniter resolution is 800*600. Red portion should be displayed on moniter 1, and Blue portion should be displayed on moniter 2. Now, both portions are displayed on moniter 1. Nov 10, 2009Is it possible to make dynamic text boxes display only full words from an xml feed? At the moment I have a selection of feeds that are supposed to run into each other, but if some of the text is longer than expected I get the first one or two characters of a word tagged on at the end. Is it possible to have the flash read whether it has character space left to display the next word in the xml?
I know it doesn't really recognise spaces etc and just pulls in the info within the node, but maybe there's a work-around if you want to do what I'm trying?

I can do this in AS2 bij loading them (other swf's with AS2) in timelines and fullscreen with fscommands. Full Screen Background Image
Apr 7, 2010I'm trying to create a website with full screen background images (or possibly, a video) but don't know the best way to approach it. The Die Antwoord site does pretty much what I'm trying to accomplish. I'd also like to know how they can use such high resolution images. If I try to use a high res image, the file size is enormous.I also want to do is to be able to change the background image when a button is clicked. What is the best way to do that with large images? Another site that uses similar technology only with a video is the TV on the Radio site.

Full Image In Background In A VBox In Flex?
Jun 15, 2010I was wrote the following code to set the background image in one vBox.
vBox.setStyle("backgroundImage", "PreviewBackground.png");
vBox.setStyle("backgroundAttachment", "fixed");
Where the height and width of vBox was 250 x 350 and the height and width of background image was 400 x 400.The problem is that the background image doesn't show the full image. The image has cropped. How can i show the full image as a background image?

Flash :: Full Image Background With CSS/jquery?
Oct 30, 2011How can I fill my whole background with a big image? The photo is 1400*867 and with the solution here it fills up the width but not the height. I don't care if the photo gets cropped in order to fill up the height too.
The CSS3 way (background-size) is perfect but doesn't work in IE.
If you don't know a way with css/jquery could you direct me to a flash script where I could just enter the path of the image and let flash resize it?

Jan 10, 2009I know how to make an image full screen, also with a onresize listener. But! Because some of the images are only of a certain pixel size, I don't want to stretch them above that.So, do any of you know how to set limitations? The code I am using is:

Feb 23, 2011So I've created a flash movie that is 950x750 and have filled the background (bg) with an image. Then I created a HTML page and corresponding CSS so that the movie fills the browser window. Inside the flash movie I have done some calculations to make the background re-size so that it too fill the browser window. However, my calculations must be screwy, because the background is always either out of position, or resizes improperly. Oct 13, 2009I have a simple full screen flash site with mc's that are positioned in relation to the stage, and I also have a background image that is bigger than the stage that shrinks and expands when the user resizes the browser, and it doesn't distort.My problem is that when i publish it normally at 100% width/100% height I get a weird acting vertical scrollbars, so I'm forced to publish it at 98% height, which then shrinks my swf file exposing the black background giving my freaking swf an unwanted black border.
