ActionScript 2.0 :: Xml Thumbnail To Full Size Image?

I'm tring to have it when you click on a thumbnail, it loads a larger image over the scene. Here is an example, since I'm sure that my desc. is awlful. link My scrolling thumbnails are based off of the tutorial on kirupa.com. Here is my site. and action script. (architecture is only one that has any images on it currently for testing)

I've spent the past few days having a look for this and no luck so far. Basically I have got a multi-page XML gallery with thumbnails. At the moment the images in the gallery stay their original size. I want to make it so that a) the image takes up the entire page of the browser/stage, and b) the image resizes as the browser does, which I suppose might be in the publish settings.
So my question is how can I size this image so it takes up the entire stage? I've tried fiddling around with Stage.width and Stage.height but no luck so far.
Something like this: [URL]is what I mean.
Attached is my .fla, the actionscript code is all within a key frame inside gallery_mc.

I made a flash website with photo galleries using a component that I bought online. The component is loading the image in a thumbnail scroll bar via a XML file and the full size image display in a UILoader. So far nothing special. But when I reach a certain amount of pictures in the gallery, the scroll panel get stuck while loading and doesn't display the full size image. Then the thumbnails don't react at all.

I use kirupa's xml gallery with thumbnails. I'm trying to do something but couldn't manage yet.What i am trying to do is different widths for thumbnails. I managed to do thumbnails with different widths(same height) but the order of them doesn't match with the xml order.
here is my code.

I'm looking to do a sliding image menu like this one: [URL]. I can do this using tweening but it is not as smooth as using actionscript. Does anyone know what the name of this is as when I do a search as I can't find any solutions? I've tried 'thumbnail expand' and 'image easing' but am not getting any hits.

I'm working on one current project, I don't have any issues to load a SWF into a main SWF but I can't figure out how to apply dynamically the scale down and up into a thumbnail images size while using the Resize event handler to fit in any browsers sizes.
I load SWF into a Loader object then add it into a container => currentMC. I want to size it and keep all the pieces inside this container. Therefore no matter browser size, I just want to be able to apply scale on it to fit it.
Does anyone know how to do that? How would I deal with stageWidth and stageHeight?

I am going to have a situation where i have all sorts of different sizes of graphical data coming at me from XML. The only thing that all of these assets have in common is that they will be sharing a 100px by 100px thumbnail and they are SWFs.My question is, how can i make an object fit into the thumbnail so that:1) Theres no cropping of the item2) Items smaller than 100x100 must be enlarged3) Items larger than 100x100 must be shrunk

I have found an excellent tutorial and source file for a 3D image gallery. However I would like to make the thumbnail click thorugh to a url link when pressed rather than loading the image into the gallery.
Currently the images load in through actionscript. Is there a way to amend this script so you can specify that a thumbnail clicked links through to a url, like you would with a normal button instance rather than loading the image. As far as I know, what I ask here isn't possible, but I thought I'd ask anyway in case I'm missing something.
Suppose you want to let users upload JPG images, and these images are scaled into smaller icons and the original images are always discarded and never required again. Is there any way that would commonly work in most modern browsers that would let the user select a single image on their hard drive, have that LOCALLY turned into a thumbnail and upload the created thumbnail to a server?
In a case where the server just needs a small image, it would be wasteful both in user time and server resources to proceed uploading the whole image, only to immediately discard it. It would be much better to just scale it on the client.
I can imagine three options. Just plain HTML/Javascript, using Flash or using Java. If this were possible with Flash, that would seem like the best option. But reading flash.net.FileReference documentation, it seems that you can upload a file from the HD yes, but you cannot look inside the file you are uploading. On the other hand, if you enable "can access local files" in Flash publishing options, it seems that you can then no longer access the net, so that doesn't work.
With HTML/Javascript, it is possible to load images and display them on a <canvas>, but if you try to access the pixels of these images, you get security violations, so that doesn't seem to work.
Java I hesitate to use, because only 96.52% of my users have it installed, and the file upload dialogs I have seen implemented in Java (at Facebook for example) have not worked well (unresponsive interface). I wonder though if Java is the only thing allowing resizing images from local HD?

Based on the Photo Gallery using XML and Flash tutorial found here:I�m having trouble with loading thumbnail images of various sizes which overlap if they are smaller than the previous image.The specific line that causes this is target_mc._x = hit_left._x+(target_mc._width+5)*k;I�ve tried all sorts of things with the closest being the following which put the images in the right size, but with the omission of �k� their order is backwardstarget_mc._x = (thumbnail_mc._width+5);Here is the full function block as per the tutorial

Ok if you visit flog-it.ie you will see that there is a swf file embedded in the page on the right hand side but unfortunately its not set to the full size of the box its in. How can i set the swf file to fit those dimensions (260px by 300px)?

I have three images and I want change the images size based on the scene size (default size is 1024x768). After each image has completely loaded I call bindableUtils.setter to set width/height when scene size changes but I don't know how to make a pointer or something like that. I'm using a public var img, but it only works with the last complete image.

basically my flash works fine in every other browser except IE every page I tested in IE tester that has flash included, has the .swf half its size. Its not distorted rather its just small.Here is my object code.

My application is built in Flash Builder. I want to embed a small Flash login form inside an HTML page. The login form is in the 'login' state of code and is a few hundred pizxels wide/ tall. The 'default' state is set to height and width of 100%. I have a resize function that is executed once the login receives the appropriate credentials.

#app is the div and overflow is set to auto in the body. This works just fine except that I am left with some visable portion of the webpage near the bottom. I want to be able to either resize the webpage to match the swf or hide everything except the swf. I have tried a few different things with the js including setting the bottom attribute to 0 and using variations of the document.body.clientHeight.

i have a header made in flash, its 950 x 175 px. For every button in the header a swf is called in into a specif frame. The problem is that when the swf loads it does but not full size of 950 x 650 but it loads in the same header size. How can i make this work, hit the button and swf comes in in full size? this is the code of one of the buttons in my header:

I know this is basic, but I lack the terms to use to search for the solution. I can do some advanced stuff in Flash, but when it comes to basics like this, I'm at a loss.
I'm trying to have two movieclips call the same function but pass to it a different argument to then process accordingly. What I've learned is that even though the MCs are small rectangles on the stage, their clickable area seems to span the entire stage. In this code example, when I click on one MC, the trace gives me both 1 and 2, as if both MCs had been clicked. What am I missing? Attached is the stripped-down FLA.

I'm having the weirdest problem. I have a fullscreen function and it works great except when I try to make the current video playing the same size as my screen. Oddly enough it reports that the swfStage.width is 1280 but the videoScreen.width is 852? [code]
