ActionScript 3.0 :: Full Windows Re-Sizing BG Image

So I've created a flash movie that is 950x750 and have filled the background (bg) with an image. Then I created a HTML page and corresponding CSS so that the movie fills the browser window. Inside the flash movie I have done some calculations to make the background re-size so that it too fill the browser window. However, my calculations must be screwy, because the background is always either out of position, or resizes improperly. I've set the publish settings to 100% width and 100% height and have then added the 'noScale' function into the first frame of my timeline. Here is an idea of what I'm trying to create:
I have three movieclips that are touching the left side of the Stage and want them to touch the left side of the browser but centre vertically. I can do this by adding the 'Stage.align = LC' command, but not sure if this is the right way to go about it.
The movieclip that is on top contains a logo and I want it to have a fixed size. I called the instance name 'logo_mc'.
The movieclip below 'logo_mc' is called 'container_mc' and is a strip of photographs that I need to run from the left to the right side of the browser no matter what the browser size. I need this movieclip to scale proportionally up and down as they viewer resizes their browser so the first photo is touching the left side of the browser and the last picture is touching the right side (without distorting).
The final movieclip is called 'buttons_mc' and is right below the 'container_mc' clip. This movieclip needs to remain a fixed size.
Obviously when the 'container_mc' clip resizes I need the other movieclips to move up and down to stay the same distance above and below the 'container_clip'.

I want to put together a flash gallery of photography for my photography business. I am very good at Photoshop design, html, css, javascript but I am a novice with flash. I can use it and use some actionscripting but my knowledge is limited.
I see galleries like this one: [URL]
The images expand and contract perfectly as the browser is resized. I am used to having to size pics for the lowest res screens (I design for 1024 width resos's usually).
What size should I make pictures to work like this... Does flash scale them down / up / either... are there quality issues with letting flash manage the sizing.

I have a textField that I'm populating dynamically through loadVariables. The text that is being loaded dynamically is HTML with an <img> tag. Once I autoSize the texField the image is removed.

am trying to figure out how to fix a problem. I have my computer hooked upto the television to watch shows and movies. However playing flash related content always freezes when in full screen mode. This includes if something is playing or if the movie has ended and the player is staying in full screen mode.I have tried on IE8, Firefox and Safari. It happens at random times and on all flash video players

I'm currently trying to get an AS3 based flash file to run full screen in a windows projector, but no matter what I try codewise I cannot get the function correctly working,I've tried
fscommand("fullscreen","true");
which works, but I'm also told to avoid it, as it's buggy : - I also tried
fscommand("trapallkeys","true");
fscommand("fullscreen","true");
fscommand("showmenu","false");[code]....
but this doesn't work either, in swf or standalone .exe.

I am not new to flash but i'm still fairly unfamilar with actionscript. How would one go about making it so an image is clicked on and it enlarges the image within the flash on top of the thumbnail. Clicking it again would close the image. I was thinking of having the images externally as well.

I do not have a certificate (I know that there are some illegal cert. on the internet), just want it to test it on a simulator?

I'm trying to create a website with full screen background images (or possibly, a video) but don't know the best way to approach it. The Die Antwoord site does pretty much what I'm trying to accomplish. I'd also like to know how they can use such high resolution images. If I try to use a high res image, the file size is enormous.I also want to do is to be able to change the background image when a button is clicked. What is the best way to do that with large images? Another site that uses similar technology only with a video is the TV on the Radio site.

I'm trying to create a website similar to this one, where the content is a fixed width and height (i.e. made to fit a 1024x768 screen), but the background image is full screen and scales proportionally when the window is resized.

I'm having an issue with the PDF displaying outside the viewable area of the mx:HTML control in Flex. I'm running ant to compile a Flex application, and the build keeps failing when running it on a windows command line. Other people in my team can successfully run the very same build under mac and linux. This is the error shown in the command prompt:

All tokens are set in corresponding build.properties and filter .properties files (and, as I said before, it compiles perfectly under mac and linux). The windows version is 7 Ultimate, FLEX_HOME is set as an environment variable to the Flex SDK 3.5 (the 3.5.0.12683 build that comes with Adobe Flash Builder Burrito). ${compiler.fork} is set to false, to avoid an issue with the SDK and the source files being in different logic drives.

I was wrote the following code to set the background image in one vBox.
vBox.setStyle("backgroundImage", "PreviewBackground.png");
vBox.setStyle("backgroundAttachment", "fixed");
Where the height and width of vBox was 250 x 350 and the height and width of background image was 400 x 400.The problem is that the background image doesn't show the full image. The image has cropped. How can i show the full image as a background image?

How can I fill my whole background with a big image? The photo is 1400*867 and with the solution here it fills up the width but not the height. I don't care if the photo gets cropped in order to fill up the height too.
The CSS3 way (background-size) is perfect but doesn't work in IE.
If you don't know a way with css/jquery could you direct me to a flash script where I could just enter the path of the image and let flash resize it?

I know how to make an image full screen, also with a onresize listener. But! Because some of the images are only of a certain pixel size, I don't want to stretch them above that.So, do any of you know how to set limitations? The code I am using is:

I'm tring to have it when you click on a thumbnail, it loads a larger image over the scene. Here is an example, since I'm sure that my desc. is awlful. link My scrolling thumbnails are based off of the tutorial on kirupa.com. Here is my site. and action script. I'm using Flex in Flash Player 10 on Windows, using FileReference to load a file into memory, as below.My issue is that when a file is locked by Windows, my FileReference is not giving me any feedback that the file is inaccessible--it simply never dispatches any events after my calling load().Does anyone have insight into how to tell that Flash Player is unable to open the file?

I have a simple full screen flash site with mc's that are positioned in relation to the stage, and I also have a background image that is bigger than the stage that shrinks and expands when the user resizes the browser, and it doesn't distort.My problem is that when i publish it normally at 100% width/100% height I get a weird acting vertical scrollbars, so I'm forced to publish it at 98% height, which then shrinks my swf file exposing the black background giving my freaking swf an unwanted black border.
