ActionScript 2.0 :: F5 - "If The Variable Is Correct AND If It Is Dropped On The Target (g_target) THEN Play The Movie?

I have an if like this:
on (release) {
stopDrag ();
if (_root.go_blue._droptarget == "/g_target")[code]...
This works. I need to add "if (test = "one")", another drop sets this variable and the drop above should test for it. But I can't get the basics right! I'm a programmer who is new to Actionscript. What I want is:
"If the variable is correct AND if it is dropped on the target (g_target) THEN play the movie, ELSE go back to _x=130, _y=300."
The variable is being assigned correctly, I tested it with a Dynamic text box. The movie isn't running with my code!
i am making a drag and drop jukebox that will play an xml playlist when an icon is dropped onto it's target.i have one xml playlist working, but i need to make a button that will reset all the movie clips to their original position when a playlist has been played.
I am working on an interactive banner and I came to a problem I can't resolve. It's a kind of drag and drop little game. I need to play a movie clip after something is dropped in the right place. I think I need to add Event Listener to a movieclip and create a function with a conditional, but I'm getting it wrong.
I have made a drag and drop quiz, which can allow one drag_mc to be dropped to one of three target_mc's. I would like it that when the drag_mc hits any one of the target_mc's that it goes to and plays the drag_mc's frame 2.
I am using the AS from this tutorial on a bouncing ball that you can drag & drop http:[url]....I have added a basketball net mc that is stopped on frame1 that is a frame by frame animation of the net expanding. I am trying to figure out how to realistically cause the animated net to play when the basketball is dragged & dropped into the net.
I found this tutorial which seems to do exactly what I'm trying to do (the only one I've found to date), except his technique doesn't seem to work for me at all. I don't need to change the alpha specifically, I was just trying to see if I could get it to affect a given square in any way, and apparently the answer is no. I know that the value of "digthis" is accurate, but even blatantly telling it to refer to _level10[digthis] still gives me no results. Neither does _root.level10[digthis] which I tried just to see if it would work.
Previously it was put as keepLevel1(event.target) at each seperate function. Now I would like to make it frun the functions after an object is successfully loaded. How should I change the (event.target) to?

Why? Try click the second flake from above and see AS layer please. I think it would be easy for you but diffic. for me.
Can i create a custom text animation or something. Ofcourse without involving variables. And can i use this Movie clip in various projects. What am i supposed to do, save it and keep it as a .fla or can the movie clip alone be saved and imported into various projects ?

My swf contains 4 loaders (image1_loader, image2_loader etc..) which are a child of (image1_content, image2_content etc.....)
I then have 4 buttons which load an image into the loader and while doing so they define the currently active loader.
Finally i have 4 control buttons - scale up/down and rotate clockwise/anticlockwise which should only control the currently active loader (as set by the buttons above)[code]...

I have a movie embedded and I am passing a variable to the root movie for it to play when the embedded movie is complete. I know the variable is getting passed because I am displaying the value in as dynamic text but the parent movie will not play. This is what I have:

Using CS4. I made a little 300x250 animated ad to place into online newspapers and published a swf movie. At work, they opened it in safari and it shows the whole safari screen and objects outside of the 300x250 boundary show up. Can I assume that when it goes into the 300x250 slot in the newspaper only the ad will show with it's true boundaries? They think at work that the newspaper will shrink down the whole thing. And sending a swf movie is correct? Not some other file type? And is it correct to save the movie for Flash Player 10 or would 9 be a safer bet?
I'm trying to get the depths of all the blocks to be at the correct levels at the correct times so that the 3d effect is maintained. I've tried many things, but have had little success. All the instances of the blocks are stored in an array, but since it's adding them in accordance with when they're added to the stage, it doesn't help me locate them to swap depths. Is there a way to arrange them by location on the board?
I'm trying to do a math exercise, but with images (MCs) instead of variables. For 1+1, I want them to drag into the answer box a MC that corresponds to 2 (a picture with 2 apples on it) I'm OK with most of that, but how do I evaluate the MCs to tell them they got the problem right? or is there
i also has another problem here is the senario .first i select the square (there are too many object one of is square )then click the button now my event target is button previous one is square so i need to change the square(object) using that button.
I want to find out the value of an index of an Array defined on the main timeline, from within a MC on the stage. In AS2.0 this would be as simple as trace(_root.mk_contArray[0]). In AS3.0, naturally something like trace(root.mk_contArray[0]) just doesn't work, nor any other variation I've tried. Is it something to do with addChild()? This instance is named, but I haven't used that method.
I've frequently used variable names for the target but is it impossible to do this:[code]I can't get it to work and I haven't been able to find an example.It doesn't work without the square brackets either.
