View 7 RepliesI got a project I'm working on where i have a bunch of buttons that i wan to move to a new location when clicked and then go back when clicked again. Im sure its not as difficult as i think im just not so good with my code. Id rather not have to do 30 individual animation if i dont have to.

I am trying to make an object tween from its starting location to the location of a mouse click. I have a script, but it has a very annoying ease to it.I would LIKE the object to mantain a certain speed during while traveling from its starting location to the mouse click location.

However, it won't open in the browser in a different location. I pasted the html code in a web page but it doesn't work there nor opens in the browser in a differnet location from where it was originally published and saved. Why is that?
View 13 RepliesI'm trying to find out how to make a simple image gallery which changes image upon a mouse click on a button, when a button is pressed I want the image to slide in from the left into the viewable area and then when another image is selected I want the previous image that was viewed to remain in the screen and then the new image slide across over the top to replace the image.
I can get the images to slide across from the left upon a mouse click however I can't change the layer order so if image 6 is viewed and then I click to see image 1, the image will slide into place however it will be below image 6 so therefore not viewable.
I don't have an example of what I'm after but I hope my explanation was good enough, I've seen this been done in javascript but I have to use flash and am unable to replicate the effect I'm after

The thing is, I want a button that says either "Running" or "Stopped" (each has its own image). When I click the button when it says "Running," the button image should change to "Stopped"; when I click the button when it says "Stopped" it would change to the button image for "Running." View 5 RepliesI have a slideshow that loads image files with the BulkLoader class from here. When the first image is loaded completely, it gets added to a MovieClip container to add it to the stage.. and it gets displayed fullscreen, but only if a button is clicked:

This works fine unless the fullScreenButton is clicked before the image is loaded completely, then of course nothing is visible. How do I get button click event that calls showFull() to wait until the image is loaded/added to the container or how can I add it again? What is a possible/the best approach?
I tried dispatching a custom event "firstImgAdd" that adds the image again to the container when the fullScreenButton is clicked, as well as with a try/catch block or even a simple if condition but none of them worked, meaning the image does not get added to the container after it has finished loading when the button is clicked too early.

My query is on moving the object to a click location, currently I am using Tween to move the object. The object is at a constant speed by default moving to the right, once the player clicks the stage the aircraft will move towards the click location:

Flash CS4 has a feature where a tween can have more than two keyframes. If a tween has three keyframes, then changing keyframe 2 will affect the motion from keyframes 1 to 2 as well as the motion from keyframes 2 to 3. This is a very cool feature.
But there's one problem: I can only figure out how to apply an ease to the entire tween, not to the motion between two keyframes. Do you know how I can apply one ease to the motion between keyframes 1 and 2, and a different ease (or the same one a second time) to the motion between keyframes 2 and 3?
I've had two ideas so far for getting the same result:
1) Make a custom ease that includes all the eases I want. I find this too cumbersome and imprecise, unless there's a way to copy an existing curve into the space between two keyframes of a second curve (without replacing the whole second curve).
2) Split the tween at each keyframe. But then every time I want to adjust keyframe 2 I have to do it twice, and sometimes the break ends up jerking slightly. I'd really rather keep keyframe 2 a shared keyframe.
On my site I want to scroll image boxes vertically. On releasing the scrollbar is there anyway to make the content being scrolled ease into a specified position so that it aligns with other elements on the site instead of stopping at a random coordinate?
