my client (Who uses Firefox, on a PC) has to click on the button twice to view the PDF. The first time they click on the button, they have to close the blank window that pops up and then click on the Flash button again to view the PDF. It opens fine the second time. Is this just a PC problem? On my Mac (Safari) it works fine, but (Firefox) seems to want to save the document before I can view it.

They are set up to disappear when clicked.on (release) {this._visible = false;}The problem I am facing is that I want the movie clips to be clicked in a certain order, so mc1 has to be clicked (and disappear) before mc2 can be active and click-able. That way the user has to click on them in order for them to disappear.

May 23, 2010I'm running macromedia flash mx, and I'm trying to make a linkable swf by following this procedure: I select the object and then convert it to symbol. Then I choose " button " Right click at the object---> actions ---->[+]--->browser/network ----> getURL. I type my url and choose 'self" target.
When I test movie the hand symbol appears at first, but when clicked it turns to arrow. Exactly the same happends when I appload the swf and of course there's no link ...

Then I have like four more keyframes each containing a different movieclip with that some logo with different animations. Jul 8, 2011Basically I have some TLF text as a symbol, it's read only, the font is embedded and I set mouseEnabled to false. It's sitting as a graphic, on top of a button. When I mouse over the text, or the area where the text would be, it prevents the button from receiving the on mouse over event. Using classic, dynamic text, this route normally works just fine. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

Aug 21, 2006I have movie that has two different images... When the movie is loaded and reach the end, I have large button that onMouseOver effect has new image (smiling girl). The problem is that I want her to smile all the time while the mouse is over animation. That should includes the case when someone trys to type something and finally press small button to submit data. But when mouse cursor is not rolling over she should stop smiling...
The problem is that it's simple to have her smiling in every other case, but when the event as described occurs, she stop simling.. I try several solutions that came up in my head, such as attachMovie, createEmptyClip, different depths, rollOver/out etc, but it seems that I haven't bright idea what i should do i order to get the expected result.

Feb 21, 2008Am I correct in understanding that the onMouseOver event doesn't fire if the mouse button is clicked and held down prior to moving the mouse over the specified object? Would I need to code something using hitTest to see if the mouse is over the specified object regardless of whether the button is down or not?

May 16, 2004My menu(code is by scotty)has 3 movieclip buttons, with text. I broke apart the text to change the color onMouseOver. Problem is the button only works when the mouse is pointed over the actual text, so it doesn't work properly, because the text is obviously very small. I can't put a "field" behind it, because it will become part of the MC, and thus will change color.

I've scoured the interwebz in vain for what property to set, either at design-time or in the MouseOver event for the checkbox and just can't figure out what property or setStyle property to alter to be able to control the color of the checkbox text when the mouse pointer is hovering over it.

My structure is three buttons to a group. One button has an instance name of rb1 and the values are 1,0,-1.
I know to get the values I need the radiobuttonGroup, but I'm not having much luck setting the values.

Jul 21, 2011Is there way force the browser to retain previously viewed FLV files? I've noticed using the normal netstream set-up that even if you've fully loaded and viewed a video it will have to load it again from scratch each time you come back to it. Shouldn't the file be in the user's cache?
