I wanted this focus off, a class mate gave me a good javascript file to fix this. as you can see it is fixed at [url]...html you can see my problem now, the page doesn't load at the right place anymore.
View 6 RepliesI have a .fla that has a preloader on frame one and the rest of the file on frames 2 thru 55. The preloader code is the one that comes in Flash cs5's sample files. there is a movie clip with the instance name lbar and text with the name lpc. here is the code

It works fine the first time people are on my site but when the page is refreshed or is gone back to sometimes the loader bar is just stuck and doesnt load.
[URL] Above is a link to view the project I'm working on. Once the site loads if you go to the "Contact Us" page the content doesn't load correctly. I'm using an extrnal .xml and .css files for the content. I'm also embedding the fonts dynamicly. If I test the file locally on my computer is works fine the image loads as it's supposed to and content looks correct. However when I post the files to the server (which work exactly the same way) I get the white box when you can see from the link above. I'm at a complete loss as to how to to fix this.
View 3 Repliesi have created a dialpad kind of application which has a bach button at top which takes u to previous screen, a display text box and buttons. all of them are movieclips.
Now the issue is when i press down button, focus is expected to go from prevBtn->display->oneBtn, but the focus goes like prevBtn->oneBtn. Other thing is that if i press up key after going on the screen, the focus goes like callBtn->zeroBtn->eightBtn->fiveBtn->twoBtn->display->prevBtn.
one more observation is if i take the display down after all the buttons, the behavior is normal and focus goes to display.

I have multiple ideas/designs which want to work into my new site. It utilises designing graphics in AE, exported as .swf that lay on an alpha, building them into my HTML page layout, and once there the alpha/space in the design will enable HTML background elements to show through. How do I set this up in AE, HTML or Flash?
View 3 RepliesI'm aware of the .click() method but the click must be on a prezi loaded (flash) so don't really have a html element to use.
What I have instead are the exactly coordinates of the place I want to simulate click on. Is there any way I can do that?
The click must activate a flash element. (A play button)
Note: There is a similar question around that have an answer witch require swf control. I don't have that so that method is not applicable.
One other quick question... what happens if I simulate a click on an element that has display: none. It click on the elements "under" it? (as a normal click would do; and yes I know this sounds funny but I don't know how to explain it otherwise). If yes I was thinking of making a position absolute div, put it on top of flash and use .click(). The problem is that i have a feeling that the click won't be applied on flash.
This is somehow a combination of javascript simulate mouse click on specific position and mouse click somewhere else on page (not on a specific div).
I've just started working on a Flash-based annotation tool. How it works is I place a transparent flash movie in a DIV over a HTML page and draw on it.Now the drawing part turned out to be fairly simple and I found numerous examples to get me free-form drawing. Its the erasing that's driving me nuts. All the examples out there I looked at either cleared the entire canvas, or let me click on specific drawings to take them off the canvas. I need an MS-Paint style eraser that just rubs things in its path.I could draw in white to simulate erasing, but that wont work. I have a transparent flash movie and the background HTML needs to show through.Here's the script for the drawing bit I picked up from Adobe, and on which I'm trying to build the eraser.

[url]...would it be possible to integrate HTML pages into this template using AS3.0. Specifically, I would like to put the HTML page inside one of the modules, and have it appear and dissappear just like the other modules, except the content would be HTML driven.
I would like the HTML page to load with an animation like the module backgrounds do, but the content can be easily customized because it's HTML.
I have a flash file (a flash navigation bar actually, which gets loaded in all the webpages inside the website). What I am trying to do is place an external swf file on it in a desired position when the corresponding page is being loaded. I am using FlashVars (variable name -> 'movieName') to pass the name of the movie clips. These variables are read by the navigation swf file and the corresponding swf file should be loaded in the area specified. Now, to create a container, I am using createEmptyMovieClip() method which will host all the external swf files.
The swf files are all being loaded but with a lot of problems. First, no matter what I try, the swf file comes at a fixed place (which is way off from where it is supposed to be). I have tried checking if the container loaded the movie before fixing its position but it changed nothing. Although it did change the position of a weird background colour box I am getting when the movie starts loading - which brings me to the second problem.
A rectangular box flashes once when the external swf is loaded, and its position is being affected by whatever I am setting the _x & _y values of the container movies to. I have no idea why it is happening as it doesn't happen when I test that swf seperately.

Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. This is the part i am confused with =/ how do i make the buttons on each page load the next page (sprite) from the library??
View 2 RepliesI have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.

Im working on a website for school, and im doing it through flash. The server ive been given is being taken up by thousands of pages, so its slow. Instead of loading each page through HTML, ive decided i could do a seperate frame for each page. However, to reach the menu at the bottom, you have to scroll down. Is there any way to make it so that when you click a button to load a different page for the flash player to scroll up all the way to the top of the page itself?

View 9 RepliesI'm building a dynamic content page in flash that consists of using attachMovieClip and createEmptyMovieClip with coordinates to place photos and objects, which are loaded from an external source and scrolling their thumbnails I've run into a problem setting the variables correctly because the scrolling thumbnails required that the thumbnails be nested inside a scrolling controller clip and that has somehow messed up my preloading and sequential text caption loading for the tumbnails.

The problem is now I want to club them all together to avoid breaks and showing of the loader at inappropriate moments, I know that was poor planning on my part. I have a problem loading in external swf's. I have one MovieClip in main.swf that is called pageHolders, and I assigned a class: Main.as. My problem is that I am trying to load external swf's from XML and place them into pageHolders, but I cant understand how.
