I have a website and I made a empty movie clip and put it on Scene1 called "contents" where I want to load my movies. Look at what is happening. I would like to know how I can load the second part of the movie and make the first one go away, because right now it's showing both.
Here is my code on the button in scene 1.

I have a site with a container clip which all other content loads into. When one movie loads, it has a button that I'd like to be able to click to go to another page in the site (ie. unload it's parent movie and load another swf into the same container clip.
How can I address the parent container clip and tell it to unload this movie and load another swf into it?
okay i have a problem...i wanna load an image dynamically.....like through XML Is it possible to only load a part of the image....or like only assign the top part of the bitmap to one MC and the bottom to another MC when i load it Eg. 200x200 image pixels 0 to 100 heightwise and 0 to 200 widthwise in one MC1 pixels 100 to 200 heightwise and 0 to 200 widthwise in one MC2

I'm using Flash CS4, and a template that I got from a friend to create a website.The template I have uses this "man figure" on the right side of the file. I want to make it so that this pictures loads a different picture each time the page refreshes. On this circle i have some kinda thing which points the button of where the users mouse is on. So each time the users chooses anothe button, the pointer has to rotate to that button. If there is no mouseover or anything, the pointer has to point the button on where the user is on the site (so in home the point has to point to home button)

I have a question, not necessarily about coding, but about setting up a file. I want to create an expandable ad, but I don't know how they work. Do I make the stage the size of the expanded part? How do I only have the unexpanded part act as though it is a different, smaller size.

I have a replay button that is already working great, but I want the arrow part of the button to spin in the 'Over' state. What I tried was creating a looped frame. I went inside the button itself, (button composed of an arrow symbol and text). I then went to the 'Over' state and went to edit the arrow symbol itself.when I drag the playheader in there, it seems to loop just fine, but when I export it it's not working.

Basically, I want that part to be a shadow or highlight or background or whatever you'd like to call it.It's done somehow with drop shadows but I want to have finer control than using filters.Example code:

Take a look at this demo, how do they accomplish the Inline Changes feature? To me it looks like they are floating a movieclip over the textarea. What I can't figure out is how they anchored the movieclip to stay in the correct position. If you type something before the movieclip it moves position along with the text, the movieclips even move to the next line when the text word wraps. Does anyone have an idea?
View 1 RepliesI'm using Adobe Flash CS4 for the first time to try and make an animation set to music (like the opening scene of an anime). I need to listen to specific portions of the song so that I can match the timing of my animations.
I know that you can press Enter and it'll Play, but I don't know how to start listening to the music at the frame I want. I also don't know how to stop the music once it starts playing.
I also know I can do Ctrl+Enter to Test Movie, but that always starts playing my animation from the very beginning.
I want to know how to watch/listen to a specific part of the animation, without having to play it stop to finish.
I have a .flv movie file that I purchased from Istockphoto.com. I have placed it in my Flash CS3 file, and it works fine. However, once it plays, it loops back to the beginning, and I would prefer to loop it at the last 5 seconds of frames, so that it doesn't replay the entire video. Can this be done with Flash actionscripting or do I need to somehow do it in a video editor? Which wouldn't be ideal, as it would make a much larger file size.

I have set the movie size to 800x1200, but would only like to see the top 800x600 in the browser window for some scenes (the reason for this is that one scene might have very little content, while other scenes could have a lot). Is that possible? I guess that either it's impossible or it's dead simple...
