ActionScript 2.0 :: Looping The XML Flash Gallery?

I would like to make the Gallery loop from the last photo to the first photo (when pressing the Next button while viewing the last image). Additionally, make the first photo loop to the last photo (when pressing the Previous button while viewing the first image).

Small problem. I am using this flash/xml slideshow found on [URL]..And I just need to know how to make it loop continiously, for example you click, next, next, next, next and when it hits 7/7 I want the next button to go to 1/7.
I will be adding more than 7 images, and will want to add more in the future. So I pretty much need a bit of code extended to it that says "if there's no next image in line, return to image 1".
im building a product menu that loads a bunch of images through xml and uses one movieclip instance for the texts.URL..So far my code loads the 5 items and gives them 600px of space in beetween. This way i can use next/prev navigation. But the problem is when i reach the last one, it should loop, so that after the last one should come the first one again. And same in reverse for the prev-arrow.I have all this code inside a movieclip that im now controlling with the arrows:[code]And i cant get my head around that where should i include the looping, in pseudocode: "if picture x <= -600 reload it as the last picture && if picture x >= +600 reload it as the first picture"

I would like to add the functionality of having the next button return to the beginning of the xml when you reach the end and have the previous button return to the end if you are navigating the other way.
I've made a gallery slideshow before but wasn't as intuitive looking back at it now and I want to start fresh on this new project. I would like to convert a jQuery lightbox style gallery into a flash XML based AS3 image gallery with categories. I don't want to code the FLA, I want separate AS files.
This is a school project for my website. I would use jQuery and I have more experience with it but this project needs a flash component. I'm just not sure where to start and looking for some advice on how and where I could find resources. I want it to be minimal as I can make it;
- 8 thumbnails to a "page/section" with more flowed into page 2 or 3 etc. (or a srcoller)
- a few buttons for categories
- images fading in full size with a description when hovered over and a close button
- preloader (simple bar)
Esentially something like this > http:[url].........works which is using http:[url].... for the thumbnails. That might be ambitious but I'd suffice with a simple fade effect.I've downloaded some galleries out there but most of the code is messy or outdated.http:[url]... this is alright, but all the code is done in the FLA. I might break it into AS files but it depends.
i am trying to put some things together following the tutorials on this site. I did the tutorial 'Photo Gallery Using XML and Flash'and I followed it step by step and uploaded it with all the necessary files onto my remote server (xml file, Gallery folder, fla, swf, and html) - however, when I test the movie with flash, it seems to work fine (except the description test, my question to that later), but when I test it online it shows only the first image (but displays the correct number of images in the gallery); even when clicking the next button, it keeps loading the first image the first image. In other galleries (I use the structure for multiple galleries for my portfolio) the first image never loads at all.
Also, about the description text, in between the <caption> and </caption>, can I use <strong> and <em> and <br /> to change the appearance of my text? All it says is 'null'.If you want to look at what I mean check out my portfolio in the making. The problem with the first image displaying only is under 'paintings' and both the projects in 'design - packaging'. The second problem (no picture loading at all) is on some of the buttons in 'design - identity' (where I have not changed the description text of the tutorial yet). Again,

But there are some elements that I only want to run once and not repeat once the embedded movie loops (link introductions, where objects fly in and transition into the button). How can I set the one time animations to fire just once, while keeping the embedded animation on a loop?

I'm trying to loop a Flash Banner ad. I added the code to the first and last frames on a separate action layer on the main timeline, but it's not working.
I'm using actionscript 2.0/CS4.
I have a stop action on the last frame of the last text movieclip that plays. And it seems to get hung up here. When I remove the stop action it just loops that movieclip and not the whole animation.
This is the code I'm using in the first frame of the main timeline.

I'm brand new to flash so cut me a little slack. I'm in the middle of building a website in Flash CS4 in Action Script 3.0 and (according my the tutorial I'm using) I need to access the "parameters" panel. The problem is I don't see it anywhere. I see "properties" and "filters" but to parameters. I've cycled through all the workspace presets but with no luck. How can I bring it up?? Also, even though I used the "stop();" code in the beginning of my actions frame my movie just keeps looping when I test it.
I'm new to this actionscript stuff and I'm having trouble making my swf file loop over and over. I have several movie clips in my scene and in the last movie clip, in the "actions" layer, in the last frame, I put "gotoAndPlay(1);" hoping that this would make the file loop over and over.
Instead, I get a error message: 1120: Access of undefined property social_media_mc. How I can make my swf loop over and over?
I have a .flv movie file that I purchased from Istockphoto.com. I have placed it in my Flash CS3 file, and it works fine. However, once it plays, it loops back to the beginning, and I would prefer to loop it at the last 5 seconds of frames, so that it doesn't replay the entire video. Can this be done with Flash actionscripting or do I need to somehow do it in a video editor? Which wouldn't be ideal, as it would make a much larger file size.
I'm trying to figure out an easy way to fade 4 (or any number) images and loop it so the last image fades in with the first image. I threw something together which is pretty horrible, and doesn't even fade the last image into the first. The code is included below for you to laugh at.
I created an animated "banner" and using action script 3, I added through the action panel, a 'stop' to the last keyframe of one of the layers. When I play it it works and stops like I want When I try to export it though I get: not_set_yet.stop() So I guess the question is, how do I "set it"? I forgot to create a new layer specifically to add the stop() action to and add it to a blank key frame. This did the trick.
I have an embedded .flv of some jpgs in a Flash file. I also have a preloader on frame 1 in the file that is set up with AS3 to play until the "movie" is loaded. My goal is to make a .swf out of the Flash file to put into HTML as the rotating JPGs are part of a web page.
In Dreamweaver, I can set the .swf to loop, however it also plays the preloader, which I obviously don't want once the jpgs are off and rotating. So...is there a way to set the flv portion on the timeline to loop back to frame 2 to once it reaches the last frame? It needs to be AS3 because the FLVPlayback requires AS3.
I have searched through numerous solutions, none of them work for my situation. I have tried multiple AS3 codes on an "actions" layer on the timeline. I have also tried putting them on the "movie" layer in the timeline. Neither work.
How to stop objects looping in Flash CS4? I have created logo with motion tween. But all my objects are animating continuously. I want each object animate only once then stop animating.
I have a problem with the animation of my main character. What i've set up is one MovieClip. Within that movieclip there are different animations, such as idle, walking, jumping. All of those start points are marked with a label. I'm coding everything using classes, so no code on the frames.
how do I loop it? Is it necessary to place code on the frames, at the end of each animation?
How to get an array from an XML file, bring it into flash, and set up a playlist from the XML file to play a series of FLV files (that also loops). Also to include the ability to add to the list in the XML and flash automatically recognize the new item and throw it in the playlist on next runtime.

how to do a rotating flash animation for a client's website using CS4.Basically it is a "postcard" type image with four corners having four pictures, with one changing every 5 seconds. Each corner is hyperlinked to a section on their website.I've managed to figure out pretty much all of it using the great amount of tutorials on the web, however one issue has me stumped.At the end of the animation, it flips back to the start (which is the desired behaviour) for an instant but then it redirects to a different page (as if one of the quadrants had been clicked).
