ActionScript 3.0 :: Any Tips On Looping Gallery Items From Xml?

im building a product menu that loads a bunch of images through xml and uses one movieclip instance for the texts.URL..So far my code loads the 5 items and gives them 600px of space in beetween. This way i can use next/prev navigation. But the problem is when i reach the last one, it should loop, so that after the last one should come the first one again. And same in reverse for the prev-arrow.I have all this code inside a movieclip that im now controlling with the arrows:[code]And i cant get my head around that where should i include the looping, in pseudocode: "if picture x <= -600 reload it as the last picture && if picture x >= +600 reload it as the first picture"
I'm trying to resolve the following:I'v got a long xml file with a node called 'ows_Sub_x002d_Site' - this has several different values (e.g Home, about us e.t.c) which i then filter to make sure only items with that specific value are then looped thro to build a menu.
That part i got sorted (see below).The problem i have is that i need to know how many items there are in the xml file with that value before i loop thro the xml and build the menu (so i can determine the overall width of the menu e.t.c).

This kind of works but the o[prop] always traces undefined and it's not showing any movieClips on the stage.I would like to be able to have the debug object function be able to take Stage and DisplayObject arguments like such:

Small problem. I am using this flash/xml slideshow found on [URL]..And I just need to know how to make it loop continiously, for example you click, next, next, next, next and when it hits 7/7 I want the next button to go to 1/7.
I will be adding more than 7 images, and will want to add more in the future. So I pretty much need a bit of code extended to it that says "if there's no next image in line, return to image 1".
I would like to make the Gallery loop from the last photo to the first photo (when pressing the Next button while viewing the last image). Additionally, make the first photo loop to the last photo (when pressing the Previous button while viewing the first image).

I would like to add the functionality of having the next button return to the beginning of the xml when you reach the end and have the previous button return to the end if you are navigating the other way.

im trying to create a grid gallery that when you rollover an item it grows larger and makes the other items a little smaller, and moves them to compensate for the larger image and on rollout it shrinks to its original size, and so does the other items. if someone could point me in the right direction (tutorials, etc.) or how i would go about build it,

My trouble is that my project is taking more and more time to be compiled.My preocupation is how to speed up this compilation ?I used now a SSD hard disk and a quad core CPU.Do you think that purchasing an I7 core will speed up the compilation ?
My fear is that it does not bacause Flash CS5 will not take advantage of the multi core.

I am new in flash AS3 and I have made a little game. I want you to make corrections, optimize script, give advices how to make something easier. Also, in left down corner, there is score text and try this: take 100 score, than hit enemy, than take 200 score and hit enemy again. you will get error. I have a panel movie clip that contains six buttons, this panel movieclip also contains a tool tip movie clip for each button, the tool tips just reside inside the panel movie clip not inside the buttons. When the buttons are rolled over I want the tool tips to appear, alpha from 0 to 1 using Tweenlite. Rather than repeating the event handler code I have used two arrays, one for the buttons and one for the tooltips.
So I need to tell flash that when button 2 for example is rolled over, make tool tip 2 appear. The code I have is below, I think I'm nearly there but this errors. Am I right to use switch?

When the user clicks 'CANCEL' button, I want the error message tooltips if present to be cleared off from the screen. The message tool tips remains on the screen even if the CANCEL button is clicked.

I'm creating a facebook application in flex. I'm actually working on the friends component that shows your friends who are using the application. now, each friend has a profile image.
I created the component using a s:List element.
In the Skin Class of the element i configured the requestedColumnCount to 3, which means it shows 3 friends. i added buttons to scroll left and right in the list.
Whenever I scroll to see a different friend, for a half of a second i see no image because the List component is loading the image in order to view it.
is there a way to make the list preload all the elements so i won't have this kind of problem ?
im having some dificulties in the combobox of Flex 3, after defining the dataProvider and filling the combobox, how can i remove the items in the combobox later (without removing items in the dataprovider)? if i set the provider to "" or null, the items in the combobox are still there

But there are some elements that I only want to run once and not repeat once the embedded movie loops (link introductions, where objects fly in and transition into the button). How can I set the one time animations to fire just once, while keeping the embedded animation on a loop?

how to get my CollectionEvent to work, and I seem to be able to see the problem, but I am not sure how to get it to work properly.
In my actionscript, it seems to only tell that event.items.length is 1, while I am calling my array collection from the HTTPService, and I have tested the length of my Array Collection, which seems to be accurate. What I tried to do is to use that number in the CollectionEvent function, but that does not work at all.

What I want to do is to make a gallery based on the tutorial gallery here (thumbs), but I want the user to be able to choose different galleries from within the movie. I figured that I could make a loop to cycle through the galleries, then nest another loop inside it to cycle through the pics, captions and thumbs. While I wrote, I constantly tested the output with trace commands, but when I tried nesting the loop I lost all output.. I'm pretty new to both Flash and Actionscript, so if theres an obvious solution I havent been able to see it.. This is my temp XML file:
