The painting has a tree which needs to be slowly revealed/drawn and then have its branches and leef move constantly.It sounds to me like this can be done in flash but I have never worked in flash before so I dont really know how to do this!Is that possible? And if so is flash the way to go or is there an easier/better way?
View 2 Repliesi saw a flash movie clip used on a site and I like the way it was designed. The whole length of the file file is stable and then only the image outline slides into view on the screen. i have tried to do that but my whole image slides in just like normal motion tween.
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to figure out how to make a dynamically loaded image actually move across my screes. So far, my script loads the image, but stops after 1 frame. Without the loaded image everything works just fine. It's all Action Script, so my gues is that I probably missed something along the way.Here's my script:

I need to do this project for school and I'm missing this one thing. I'm working in actionscript3 and have a panoramic picture of a room, that I'd like to move/slide(left and right) whenever the mouse cursor hovers near the edge of the screen. I'd also like to loop that image, so that you could slide it for eternity :) I tried to find a script for that but apparently the language barrier is too much for me.
View 1 Replieswell i want to make buttons that on rollover move to left, on rollout move back to their initial position, and if clicked, they but stay this time at the final rollover place, and be there until something else is clicked. When something else is clicked, the previous button , returns to its initial place. So i ve got it all figured out except for the freeze and move part when the buttons are clicked. All it does now , is when they are clicked they freeze at the position i want, but i havent got a clue how to update them, after so they start moving back, and reacting on rollover and rollout, when the next button is clicked.

Using Tween class maybe? I tried the easeOut. But if will write 2 Tween, the 2nd one will overwrite the 1st one, so I only see the obj moving in the 2nd Tween direction, not the 1st Tween direction. I know the coordinates for the 2nd Tween below is not correct (cos all coordinates shld follow the defined reference point), so I need to find out the logo's width and height. But is alright now cos it is for testing purpose.

Is this possible to save the image manipulations (not the image) saved from Adobe Lightroom for a specific image & then merge these change sets with an image to make a new image using C#.Net?
Also, the application for image manipulation will be developed in the Flash/ Action Script. Please share some links as to how we can save the image manipulations for an image (not the image) so that it can be merged with an image later on.
Can I load something using AS3/SWF and then create a DOM element using javascript to display the loaded data, without having the browser to load the same data twice?

In actionscript 3.I have an image which rotates an amount _angle.Then I want to move that image in the _angle direction. The angles below are the same but it moves in some odd direction.I have already tried -_angle and also 360-_angle. If I rotate an image 45 deg clockwise then i want it it move in the 45 clockwise direction img1.rotation=_angle; _y-=(speedfire*Math.sin(_angle*(Math.PI/180)));_x+=(speedfire*Math.cos(_angle*(Math.PI/180))); BTW the image is moving from top to down the screen down like a missile.

View 5 RepliesI've been working for awhile and I finally have the Mouse Pan to work. Now I can't seem to insert it into my project. It works fine if the object I am panning is on Frame 1. However if I move it to the correct frame (5) it throws the coding off. Does anyone perhaps know what I'm doing wrong. I have a playhead that moves down the timeline, when it stops on frame 5, that's when I want the image to be available and pann-able. [code]

View 5 RepliesI would like to have an image that is wider than the viewing area be viewed by dragging a slider left or right, it's basically just a custom scrollbar. My first inclination is to make a mask and put the image behind it, and then I assume I would have to connect the slider to the image somehow so when user clicks and drags slider left or right, the image slides with it to show the part so it that are obscured.
View 5 Replies[URL] I just watched a tutorial where they apply bnes to deform a "bitmap" image. Their image didn't distort like my image. Why is this happening. I imported an image then I "selected "break apart" and then I added bones to it. When I move the bones it makes the image distort, but in this tutorial here the image doesn't distort. What is wrong?
View 6 RepliesI have 2 buttons that i made an up arrow and a down arrow. I would like them to move an image up or down on mouse click. Although i made the button rollover actions previously and i got the script below from researching online. Now I am not sure if i should even bother with it. I thought if i could get the actionscript to recognize the buttons and tell it what to move the (the ad) I could get them to work. I am trying to make a text editor in Flex. i can move image on mouse click. Problem is it moves with the key up or down handler. But it moves out of text area after the last line in textarea. And it also doesn't move with scroll.

I have a map in a movieclip(mc_map) on stage and a small square which acts as a mask to the really bigger size of the same map. What I am want to do is that when I move the mouse on the mc_map(eg: say my cursor is on New York), the small sqaure window will unhide the same area, or will move that bigger image such that the same area is shown under the square mask. I also want to add another cursor(or crosshair) to the stage which is live only in the area of the square and replicates the position of mouse on map.

2. to use zoom/move effect.
3. to create a custom control, using BitmapData and apply the specific metrix.

For a project I am am working on I need a pan effect like the one in URL...Now I was just wondering how to do this. There are various ways I can think off to make the background move according to mouse movement, but nothing I have done comes close to the smoothness in URL...More specifically, I can trigger an event when mouse in moved left/right/up/down in the pressed down stage - this event can tween the background in any direction required. But how do I stop the tween movement when the mouse is released. Since I have asked the background to tween from one its central value to say its rightmost/leftmost value, how do I make it stop in the middle of the tween when the mouse is released.
View 3 RepliesI'm trying to find out how to make a simple image gallery which changes image upon a mouse click on a button, when a button is pressed I want the image to slide in from the left into the viewable area and then when another image is selected I want the previous image that was viewed to remain in the screen and then the new image slide across over the top to replace the image.
I can get the images to slide across from the left upon a mouse click however I can't change the layer order so if image 6 is viewed and then I click to see image 1, the image will slide into place however it will be below image 6 so therefore not viewable.
I don't have an example of what I'm after but I hope my explanation was good enough, I've seen this been done in javascript but I have to use flash and am unable to replicate the effect I'm after

Is there a way to make the transparent area from an png image not to register when I add with a mouse event to that image? What is happening is the rectangle around the symbol is effected by the mouse event.
