Movie Clip ActionScript For Roll Over Sound?? have Done this tutorial And i was wondering if anyone could tell me the ActionScript for sounds effects when you roll over it?

I have a graphic that when rolled over it starts a movie clip, when rolled out or off I would like the clip to instead of stop actually roll the movie back whether the clip is at the end or not. Like an animated button I would guess.
View 1 RepliesI want to be able to make a movie clip (that acts as a button) so the roll over effect finishes before the roll off effect is triggered. Like if a marker circles a button, i want the circling animation to stop before the roll off effects happens. Anyone know how to do this.
View 2 RepliesI have a menu bar that has 2 Drop down menus. Each drop down is a separate movie clip, with 3 buttons inside that are separate movie clips. I have a class set to the buttons that are movie clips for a roll over effect. But when I mouse over it does not work. Also on the main time line I tried to add a like to a web page but it did not work. But I only have this problem with the movie clips that are inside the drop down movie clips.
Why is this? How do I add roll over actions and external links to movie clips that are inside of another movie clip? I really need some help this is a problem I have been having for about a month or more. I am still a AS3 newb and this is my first time using classes. The other classes I have work with everything else, Im just having trouble with the movie clips that are inside movie clips.
I am doing some interactive file when i click a movieClip it should stop at frame 4 and when it is roll over it goto frame2 and when i roll Out it should come back to frame 1. But the problem is when i click a movie clip it should no roll out.
View 6 Replies-The problems i'm having with my code is: 1. when the movie loads, the clip is playing initially when it should be stopped until the mouse rolls over it. Once the mouse rolls over it once, it works perfectly from that point on2. when I put a stop code in, the movieclip isnt looping initially(which is what I want), but now when you roll over the button, the clip will play once and not continue looping(I need the rollover function as kind of a "pause" buttonHere's my code:

I am looking for ActionScript 2 code that makes a movie clip disappear when a user moves their mouse over a particular area and then have the movie clip reappear when the mouse leaves that area.
ie. if the mouse is within _x.50 , _x.200, _y.50 , and _y.200 the mc is invisible, else its visible.
I think it would be some kind of "if" statement but I don't know syntax on how to code this.

Now, when the user rolls over this newly added clip, it triggers the roll out event of the clip 'below' it. So, how can I prevent this from happening ?Basically, it's a movieclip that displays a button when rolled over and hides it when rolled out. I need the roll out NOT to be triggered when the user rolls over movieclip B.

I have a movie clip that contains sound (I tried sound by code and sound in the time line) and when I go to next frame and back to it the sound plays without the movie content, and notice that I put stop action in the firest frame and the sound is not event type it is stream typeto stop the sound from playing, I do not wnat it to play unless I played the movie clip it contains.

I have a frame with a quiz question and three answer options. The three answer options are movie clips. Their instance names are q1_soundA, q1_soundB, and q1_soundC. I want each option to make a different sound when rolling over them. My sounds are already in the library and they have been linked: each one has a unique identifier (a, b, and c) and "Export for ActionScript" and "Export in first frame" are checked. Under frame properties, sound is none, sync is event, and repeat is 1.
I have a separate layer with the following code in the first frame (the quiz question is in the second frame):

Note: I also have three transparent buttons underneath each movie clip. I am using these buttons and some code to record the answers and calculate a score. This part is working fine though.
Problem: As soon as the quiz question frame is displayed, the first sound is played over and over again even if the cursor is not even close to any of the option answers. It doesn't matter where I move or click, the sound keeps playing all the time.

I did a search through the forum and thought I found what I wanted, but in the end couldn't get it to work, so basically all I need is to trigger a sound when the mouse cursor is over the "over" / "out" state. View 10 RepliesI'm trying to make a program for an e-commerce project I'm involved in that will allow our users to listen to sample clips from a given CD. I've listed all the tracks in an array called trackList. Here's the code to play a given track from that array:

The event target that I've bolded is the given movie clip button that the user has clicked; at frame two, the button turns yellow. When the clip is finished, the button should return to frame 1, but I can't get that to happen.
I suspect I need to put the event listener to make the button's color change back on the sound channel (sndChan), but I don't know how I could write that function so that it will apply to which ever button happens to be active.
I have a file with 12 roll over buttons that make a sound on roll over, but I'm unable to change the volume to lets say .5.
