ActionScript 2.0 :: Previous Example Of Organized Info?

I've searched for the past hour before even posting, so please dont yell at me What I'm looking for is a post somewhere on kirupa recently that demonstrated an organization of information that could then be sorted by the different categories they had. But the quality that sticks out to me about this specific example is that when you clicked the way to list the categories by, the information would move (with easing) into its new position according to how it was being sorted.

I've been asked to make a simple game and have very basic flash knowledge, I was approaching it as an "interactive comic" kind of way to make things easier for myself. However it's become very cluttered and I'm trying to figure out how to link scenes to keep things a little more organized so I don't make things harder than they need to be. I've looked online and followed the instructions to a tee, however when I try to impliment them into the game, nothing happens, no error code, just nothing happens. The .fla is too big to attach, so I've attached a brand new .fla using the same codes.
I've tried the following codes:
on(release){
gotoAndStop("Scene 1", 1);
}
That didn't seem to work, so I tried naming the scene as you'll see and tried that, still nothing, I'm sure I'm missing something really simple but having very minor flash knowledge I can't see what that is.

i need to disable a string of thumbnails which are organized in a scorllable panel... but i need them to remain visible.When i trace "TMBSOff", i get appropriate values... _root.mc_tmbsPanel. mc_TMBS.mc_tmb1... and so on and so on... but turning those movie clips off through that variable does not work.

I have some scrolling content (info). I've also made my own scroll bar.I want the scrollBar dragger to be positioned in relation to the info._y as the user scrolls info.I have created two vars: one that worsk out where info._y is as a percentage and the other that works out where the scroll._y dragger should be as a percentage...
Actionscript Code:
var scrollBarPercent = Math.round(scrollBar.dragger._y / [code]........
also onMouseWheel working too.I need a small bit of code that takes the % of info._y and moves the scrollBar dragger to the same % but in relation to the Stage.height...so if projectGalleryPercent = 50%, make dragger._y 50% of Stage.height using scrollBarPercent.

my program is i can choose several movie to load and the movies are save in an array... For example: i choose movie 1 , 2 and 3. Movie 1 was loaded. After i lick 'next 'button, movie 2 will be show .Beside that,if i click 'previous' button, movie 1 will be show. i facing a problem that my previous button is not back to my previous loaded movie but is trace my choices in arrays backward. The next problem is, my first movie load to the second movie load will be a bit lagging. but the rest 1 is ok.

I have various movies clip within a movie and my back (mc = arr2_mc) and next (mc = arr1_mc) buttons are on the main scene.This is on my main scene on a first frame

when it goes back, it goes back frame by frame without stopping but I want it to go only to previous Scene. instead of going to previous frame.Do i have to create a unique button? which i did but i didn't work?

I have a problem regarding text appearence on screen. I have few TFL dynamic text fields in CS5.5 that update each time according to users choises (a dictionary, in hebrew if it matters). As a text field I can't break lines or organize the text in paragraphs or any other way, the corrent situation is a text block that is not pleasent to read, it's need to be organized (it's for children so it has to be as clear as possible).

Am creating a two page document in flash cs4. Each of these 2 page documents have links to a learning resource on a web server.All I want is for the user to be able to navigate to and fro this two page document. Infact, I want to be able to click on a NEXT button to go the the nextpage and PREVIOUS PAGE button to go back to the previous page.

I am using Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 but I can't find any output file (fx a xml file) that I can pull out info from and use on my website via a PHP or ASP script. It could be nice - in the website - to retrieve info like "online users attending", "running / streaming state" (online or offline) and other relevant info about the streaming, so I on the website can display how many that are online when a webtv event is streaming.

Example:Lets imagine a html page with 2 swf embed inside. First swf has some UI, and second swf loads content.Is there a way to pass events or variables from the first swf to trigger stuff on the second? If yes, how?I would love to know the simplest way to achieve this.P.s- From what i understood from Lee's tuturial on swfObj, i can pass vars from html to the swf (using flashvars). Is there a way to pass from the swf to the html in a similar fashion?

I have a news page that I update with my stories. The info goes to a read.asp page that displays my info. I need to get the stories into a flash text field or box (anything really) so I can have the same news stories post. I can upload the file so you could look at it and tell me how to call the stories into flash.

I have a flash as2 file which loads pictures into a thumbnail slider through an external xml file. when i try it out in my pc it works, images load perfectly and i can view the thumbnails, but when i contain the flash in a php and upload it, it stops working, the images never load.i guess flash has an issue trying to pass the xml info through php, i tried searching for compatibility issues but couldn't find anything concrete...

Here's the thing.I am making my first game, a click and drag (dress up if you want to ) game...It is finished and working..But since it serves as an educational aid in history group, it would be great if I could somehow add some kind of pop-up window with text describing every item in game..For example "14th century bascinet developed from the steel cap bla bla bla...".And if that is not possible is there some other way all this info about these items (there is about 24 items in game) could be fitted in this kind of application
