Dec 8, 2011I am doing a simple project for school, and I had to develop a website off of a premade template, the URL is [URL]. If you go to the about page there is supposed to be a video in the TV that plays, when I use the FTP server to upload the swf and index.html file, where am I supposed to put my video file so flash finds it and it plays? also having the same problem on the portfolio page with my pictures not being there. When I click the small icons on the left, the larger picture is supposed to show up in the right picture frame.

I have a swf that is a work in progress, is NOT ready for public viewing, and i need some critique from a friend in the USA, and if i could upload it and give her the password, it would be viewable only for her, or for whoever else i'd give the password.
So, i've looked at a thread from a while back,[URL], which explains stuff that is beyond me, on xml programming.
And, i am aware that the Publish settings has an option to add a password, I tried it but am unsure what that does if anything.

Actionscript :: Flash Movie Not Looping After Upload?
Oct 12, 2011I imported an FLV file to my FLA flash file, and exported it as an SWF movie.
I want to embed it into my website, and I want it to loop after it ends.
I've already checked the following:
files are fully uploaded using the latest version of flash "Publish Preview > Flash" works fine in Adobe Flash CS4 "Publish Preview > HTML" also works fine in Adobe Flash CS4

May 15, 2009(A script in this move is causing Adobe Flash Player -n- to run slowly. If it continues...) But I haven't found a posting where it is resolved. I am trying to provide my client with an upload script. What I have so far works on small files but results in the aforementioned error message on large files.
I saw a message a few days ago that talked about writing an onEnterFrame routine in a dummy movie clip that increments a counter, but there were no details about what that code might look like. I have tried several iterations of that logic to no avail. I know I am not the only one with this problem, and I do need to find a solution. I don't think that the server php settings are the problem.

Flash :: Upload Only 2 Files On Domain At Time, FileReference.upload Limitations?
Jan 18, 2012I am creating flash uploader and want to start 10 uploadings at time.But flash upload only 2 files on domain at time, other references wait for something.In IE with ActiveX Player limitation is about 6 files at time.Is there any ideas how to change this limitation? For uploading I need to use FileReference.upload without creating URLRequest object from file data.

Jan 22, 2011The purpose of this is too allow a user to upload an image from their machine to be displayed on a website. The code's pretty straight forward and i have it all working fine, but have come across an issue. When certain portrait images are selected to be loaded and displayed, they get rotated at some point in the process and become landscape? There doesn't appear to be any consistency to the way they are rotated. Some are clockwise, some counter clockwise.
The one thing i've noticed though, is that it doesn't appear to be an issue with images that have been re-saved (so simply taken into photoshop and then saved without any modification), only images that are the original source of an image taken by a digital camera? This has got me wondering whether there's a possible issue with flash reading the meta data of the source image? The attached zip file contains the source code and swf, a selection of images from 2 different camera's and a modified image.
Just to note, due to the dimensions of the images, in the source code the bitmap is scaled to 0.1 so that the result can be clearly seen. I've tested this without the scaling and the image still gets rotated. There's a trace in the Event.COMPLETE handler of the Loader.loadbytes() method and you can see from this that the width and height of the loaded image have been switched? Note - due to the size of the zip file (4.6MB) because of the images, i've put them up on my server for download instead.[URL]

Oct 22, 2010Flash Movie that works using Firefox and Safari on my (iMac) desktop, but not after I upload to my website.
I started with an flv video, imported it into an fla document along with a playback skin then published it creating an html file and two swf files. I've checked the html file, and it looks fine. The flv file is only 17MB and I've uploaded all 5 files to my site on:

but all I seem to get is the control skin's "sending data" pole turning.The movie never arrives. I can get much bigger mpeg and wmv movies up on my screen very quickly.
I'm running Snow Leopard on my Mac (OX 10.6.6). I've tried using different videos but nothing seems to work.

Oct 24, 2008I'm using Dreamweaver CS3. I'm new to Flash and It seems that every time I take 3 steps forward I have to take one back. I've inserted the .swf into the html page, where it resides inside a cell within a table. It plays there, and in Preview In Browser.I've uploaded the .html page to the server but the movie (and all the code relating to it) will not go along with the rest of the page contents. There is no trace of any movie coding anywhere on that .html page on the server.I have three other Flash movies on this site, all on different .html pages. All the elements of all the Flash movies are in their own folders, all of which reside in one single Flash folder. The other three movies play successfully on the server.
And on my computer, in Dreamweaver Code View, the correct path to the .swf file is present.But, only for that one movie, none of the Flash movie code will upload to the server. I'd like to supply a web address, but this forum does not allow the inclusion of URLs. To bad, it would certainly clarify the problem.

Apr 23, 2009How would I go about setting up a situation where, I preferably create a motion graphics piece in After Effects and turn it into an swf. The piece will ,say, have a head shot photo of someone as the background in the movie. I want to create a situation where the user can upload a head shot photo and their uploaded photo will become the new background in the piece......is this possible? I've seen sights like jibjab and oddcast where the user can superimpose themselves into silly animations .....so I'm assuming it must be possible?

Sep 9, 2009Okay, so I am calling my scripts from the folder "php/" Thus, my FileReference calls "php/upload.php" to upload. However, my uploads are in "uploads/" and not in "php/uploads". When the PHP script is called, it apparently ignores the caller (the SWF file) and looks for uploads in its own directory (the "php/" folder). It may be a PHP question, but how do I reference the uploads folder as being in the parent directory of the php files in my PHP script?
