Professional :: Flash Movie Plays On Desktop, But Not On Website?

Flash Movie that works using Firefox and Safari on my (iMac) desktop, but not after I upload to my website.
I started with an flv video, imported it into an fla document along with a playback skin then published it creating an html file and two swf files. I've checked the html file, and it looks fine. The flv file is only 17MB and I've uploaded all 5 files to my site on:

but all I seem to get is the control skin's "sending data" pole turning.The movie never arrives. I can get much bigger mpeg and wmv movies up on my screen very quickly.
I'm running Snow Leopard on my Mac (OX 10.6.6). I've tried using different videos but nothing seems to work.

Click on any of the 3 circles to make them animation in/out. Notice how there is bad choppiness when they animate.I don't have this problem (or at least its very minor) when playing the file locally through Test Movie or in the standalone flash player.Only noticeable when playing it on my web server in the browser.Is this an aliasing issue?Is my web server not powerful enough to play it?

I want my movie to loop. Would prefer an If/Else loop so that the movie plays a certain number of times then plays the opening of a screen then stops. This is a simple 4 screen ad I am doing for a school project. Can't get it to work. I tried containing my code in the proper loop syntax, didn't work. Then wrapping the loop in a function and calling that with a timer event, didn't work. My final solution was to call my whole movie in a timer event set to play once. Then calling the entire movie again in a second timer event set to play 20 times and set to start at an interval when the first movie ended. This did work but each time the movie plays thru function calls drop off making the movie degrade.

I have created a SWF file that plays/stops sound. The SWF file works great when previewed in Flash CS4, but does not work when inserted in the HTML file.Here are the 2 files that are automatically generated when I INSERT>MEDIA>SWF in Dreamweaver CS4:

I have built a couple of sites in Flash, however, I have a problem with a current site I'm working on. My client wants various photos to fade out in a "checkerboard" fashion, which I am doing via its own movie clip and adding in the appropriate area on the main timeline. However, when I add a blank keyframe on the following page to add a new movie clip (with the next set of pictures, the timeline starts playing through the entire website, not recognizing stop actions or frame labels.

I have a movie clip symbol that is about 8 frames long. I am staggering it 14 times throughout scene one, with varying times.My problem is that it plays once then disappears (I added actionscript on the last frame in the symbol movie clip). I would like it to play then keep the last frame displayed in scene one until a specific keyframe (60). Not have the movie clip instance loop, rather show the image that is on its last frame.

When I play my animation in the Flash working file, the animation stops at the end of the timeline, as it should. But when I test the movie, or export it to any movie format, it will play an instance of a movie clip symbol that I used within the animation. There are no extra frames in the timeline beyond what should be considered the last frame. Is there a setting or something I have overlooked that might cause that instance of the symbol to play at the end of the animation, without appearing in the main timeline?

I have full control of the server, PHP, etc. I can also install any application on my workstation. What is the best way to do this? Adobe AIR/Flash? Java?

I have a flash application. One of the options is to copy a pdf onto the users desktop, but I can not seem to get it to work. I am writing a flash application that sends "fscommands" out to batch files. We're producing a desktop application that includes html and swf in AS3. We get the following error: Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: C:UsersDave%20ZelenkaDesktopworld-source...world.swf is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location: C:UsersDave ZelenkaDesktopworld-sourcesample-htmlsample.html To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings. You must restart the applcation after changing your settings.
So, I know how to resolve this by clicking the settings. But our users won't want to do that. What doesn't make sense is that the swf file isn't pulling anything from the Internet. The world.swf file shouldn't be communicating with sample.html, and not only that, they are located in the same folder.

I made an intro animation for a website. Packaged it up into a movie clip, selected "Export for ActionScript", dragged it into my timeline, and gave it an instance name (myIntro_mc).
This is not an exported swf... it only exists in my library as a symbol (and what ever folder of classes it goes to when you export for action script).
The intro plays some animation, has a button to continue to the site, plays some more animation and then stops.
The movie clip is in its own layer and has 4 frames of the main timeline.
If I don't tell the main timeline to stop in frame 1, the intro never shows up... playback goes directly to frame 5 (which is the home page).
If I put a stop(); in the first frame the intro plays and stops and the main timeline never resumes.
I can't sort out how to tell the movie clip to play the parent timeline when it reaches the end... nor can I figure out how to wait in the main timeline for the intro to finish playing before resuming the main timeline.
I've been gnawing at this an embarrassing amount of time and have tried all sorts of bad code in both the main timeline and in the child movie clip.

I'm creating a flash intro and i was wonder how i would set it up so that the intro only plays the first time the viewer views the website. so that the next time they visit it takes them directly to the main page. this is dealing with cookies b/c once they clear their cookies it would play again.

I have a opening movieclip that starts playing for my background and then I have two buttons that come up on moues over event, that if clicked on start one of my two longer Movie Clips that I have as progressive download through a flvplayer on Key frame 2 & 3. I have all that working but I want it to go back to the start or keyframe 1 when the clip is done playing so I can use the same opening menu to click on the second movie clip can some one give me any tips on how to get to go back to the start when the movie is done.

I have a product by IMTOO.com that converts AVI files to SWF files. I used it, and I also specified that I wanted the final file to be small. The final file plays OK in flashplayer 10, but the control bar is all black. You don't see any controls on it such as 'play', 'pause' and 'maximize'.Now there is a menu you can get by right-clicking on the movie. That gives you 'play' and 'pause', but not maximize.My question is, why is this happening. Why can't I see controls on the control bar, and why can't I maximize at all, even with the right-click menu?

I'm starting to use Flash again after many years. I created a simple movie on my company website.I have it set to play once and stop not to loop. I was asked to see if I could have it play once and stop like I have, but then have it replay when you mouse over.

Installed the new flash player and all of a sudden my flv audio no longer played in an existing media player built using the FLVPlayback component.
Finally figured out that if I change the FLVPlayback component parameter "maintainAspectRaion" from false to true, the audio will play.

am i publishing the movie incorrectly? It works great when I preview the flash file (cntrl+enter), but after I publish it and insert it into the html (in dreamweaver), the file shows up and animates perfectly, but when clicked, no link... It doesn't do anything

I have built a flash game. It seems to load fine. I have a landing screen that clicks to the first question. At the first question I can mouse across the answers, but it will not progress. In addition the music does not play. After a few minutes it does play and plays each time. If I empty my cache file it does the same.

I am a psychology student and have the need to edit a flash game for use in a project. Having no programming experience, this is proving to be an issue! Basically I contacted the authors of a study for a copy of a driving game that records data to an external file (I think this is where shared objects come in?). Unfortunately, I cannot find the output file anywhere on my machine (I am running Windows 7 - have looked in the appropriate directories). After downloading a trial version of CS3, I have edited the screens I needed but have not been able to understand the code. I'm porting in an .flv to Flash for the first time. I created the .flv from an .MP4 using Media Encoder CS5, and then opened a new Actionscript 3 .fla in Flash Professional CS5, clicked File > Import > Import Video. Then selected 'Load external video with playback component'. Everything seems to have imported fine, but when I publish the SWF and import it via Dreamweaver CS5 and preview the page, the video is there, but the controls are not. There's just a white box where the controls should be. Also, the video is out of sync with the audio, which I believe is a problem with Media Encoder, not Flash.
