ActionScript 2.0 :: Using Action To Change Tint Effect On Object?
Sep 21, 2002
is it posible to use action script to change tint efect on object. I found only alpha property posible to change.. I nead to put color (100%) tint on instance.. an then using actions change this percents depending on user behaver... (I can do it withaut actions.. but I dont wont to.. (lot of work..)
I need to know if it's possible, and if so, how, to change the tint of an object using actionscript. For instance, if one was to select a specific button, the actionscript in that button would tell the object, in this case the background, to change its tint.
This tutorial was very good: [URL]. But is there a way to do this with tint and just as simply (3 little lines)? Because I just want to change the tint of the movieclip, not turn it into an opaque color.
I want to make classic loader bar that scales as it loads, but I also wanted to make it change color (tint). I've tried this but it doesn't work. Any sugestions?
I have a menu that I want to add some actions on so that when the mouse rolls over each button symbol, a large clip that takes up all of the background changes colour. I could do that with a simple rollover this. but that changes the colour in one sudden stroke while what I'm looking for is a gradual pass from tint A to tint B. As an example, If button A is yellow and button B is blue, it should show the pass from green as I switch from button to button.
The bits highlighted in red bold above is the section where I've got stuck.. I have tried code: var bgdcolour:uint = Countdown.@bgdcolour; , but no luck and all I get is '16777215' in the output panel..
I want to know how i change the property tint with animation of a movieclip when i press ou do Mouse over in the same moviclip. but i like to do this with as3.
If I wanted to change an action from a button click to a frame-based action, what do I use instead of onPress? The hints from the AS editor are all click-based.
I am trying to build a custom button component in flash 8... I am setting it up so you can change certain color values with the component inspector.I want to know how to change the tint of a movie clip inside the component...I searched all over the place, maybe I'm not looking right.I found out how to change the color in a text field but I am still stumped on how to change a movie clips tint.
i have an image inside a movieclip, with the alpha set to 30%. Now I'd want to be able to change the tint (like Hue from Photoshop) of that movieclip on button press. I figured it might be possible by creating a new movieclip, putting a transparant square in it and changing the _alpha and color on buttonpress, but isn't it possible to do directly change the tint of the movie with the image inside with actionscript ?
I tried senocular's method [URL], but my movie turned all pink instead of red transparent.
I am looking for sliders that let you adjust an MC(or graphic) through the interior hue specturm as well as another slider that will adjust tint level (brightness.)
Drag and drop game. I'd like the instance to tint red when rolled over after it's been successfully dropped. I'd also like to play a sound file when clicked after successful drop. Here's the code:
ActionScript Code: addEventListener("dropped", dropper); function dropper(e:Event):void {
Im trying to get a movieClip to change its tint on roll over and back to normal on roll out. But this has to happen gradually like a tween. Im trying to use the code for alpha tween but its not exectly i also tried the tweenlite but im to confused :S here is my code:
I know there are a lot of different typewriter effects but none of them show how to go to another frame after the message has been typed. In other words, I'm using a script I found to simultate a message being typed out. That script action is on a single frame and stopped. What I would like help with is what to do after that message has been typed out and it should then go to another frame label.
in a nut shell I have found this wicked piece of open source actionscript.
It responds to the cursor and was wondering if it is posible to modify the x_position and y_position actions and make the action respond to a moving object???? (a movieclip with a variable name)
is this to complicated to attempt or is it doable??
In a certain part of my movie i want it to go from scene 1 to scene 3 but for the life of me i cant remember what the script for that would be, and i figure since it was AS 2.0, its changed by now, and in scene 3 i want an mc that has sound in it to be muted but not the whole movie.
I was analyzing the files of a image gallery that I`m working on and I noticed that it evolve three files: one xml, one php and one flash. According what I saw there is no need to change the php file (its only say how to organize de file code gallery.xml). I need to change the actionscript code in flash file.
The image gallery is designed to open a lightbox like window inside the flash when is clicked to see the larger size of the image. I need that, when the file extension is not an image (or it is a .html extension file) the link just opens a target _blank window or even a pop-up window with width and height defined that itis a html.
I believe that the better way to solve this is saying in actionscript language in the flash file that, if the src= of the image is a file with .html extension, it besides open that like lightbox image inside the flash, simlpy open that link in a news window or pop-up. It is possible to do this in actionscript?
how do we change the button colour using action strip. for example , i have created a button , and the fill colour for the button is green now. After i click on the button , i want the button to change to red colour .
I have my main timeline/scene we can call it A and then Scene B is exclusively for the gallery component. When I switch to Scene B, the gallery component functions as expected. I place a button on that scene that takes the user back to the Scene A (main timeline). I use the on (release) { gotoAndPlay(6); } command. At this point the output screen fills up with the warning message: A 'with' action failed because the specified object did not exist
This message will repeat in the output screen about 30 times and then continues until I close the file. There are no stop errors or crashes, it only does this in testing the swf but works fine online. It just started doing this, I went back to look at something in the fla and played it and all of a sudden I get this error. I've had this code in for about a year and has worked fine up until now? Why would it all of a sudden do this?
it's possible to change the default key (space bar key) to execute the action of the focused element in the stage? If you ever worked with the Focus Manager you've possibly seen that when you press the space bar the focused item is "executed".Can you disable that "executor" or can you change the space key with the enter key?
I'm writing a sort of "dynamic gallery" in flash. The problem is that a child of the gallery can be resized in runtime, and then I have to rearrange the gallery.
Now, of course, I can't overload the gallery items, since it's a display object which is unpredictable. and even if I could force overloading on the items, how will I be notified if, let's say, an animation started, something move, and the item got bigger Is there some sort of Event for a display object which is dispatched on ANY kind of resize ??
My dumb solution was to go through all the gallery's items and rearrange them every given milliseconds, and now I feel so dirty and I need to confess my sins.
How do I make an MC or other object listen always for an action to occur. I know that sounds vague and I don't mean it to be. I'm wanting to dynamically load MCs into another base MC. The deal is the amount of child MCs is not defined. I want each MC to be "listening" for an action to occur in a base MC and in other child MCs. I tried using localConnection, but it doesn't do the above.
