Need to usually use actionscript to do alpha and tint fade? or Just use the properties tween control? Iheard that using actionscript will be better as it will not lag if the user's computer is slow. Here is to get a better idea what i'm trying to achieve using tweening. [URL]. To Alpha fade in, white tint fade in and then fade out white tint to original state. I know how to script the alpha fade in but I have problem with the tint fade.
How is it done? All I've seen on the web is how to change the color. Well how about going back. I'm talking about a MC with many colors. I can't just change back to a single hexadecimal color.
I can accomplish the change as it passes over a frame, but I can't get it to change back.
In the frame is this:
Code: cHurtColor = new Color(_root.compMC); cHurtColor.setRGB(0x00FF33);

I want to make classic loader bar that scales as it loads, but I also wanted to make it change color (tint). I've tried this but it doesn't work. Any sugestions?
I have square box with simple animation. Now I want to change color of my movie clip. Is this possible to change my movieClip's box ? My square box instance name is "blueBox". I mean i want to specify tint value
This is my first post here and it my be a hard one to understand? Overview I have four buttons on the main stage (info) (help) (bio) (main) When you Rollover a button it fades to another color/when you rollout it fades back to the original color I have a script that does the color change because I do not want to use motion tweens. Here is what I did I made a 2 frame MC named infoMC In the 1st frame of the MC I made the word (info) a nested MC and attached the color change code to it. The 2nd frame of the MC Is the same as the 1st frame but I revesed the color change
I need to know if it's possible, and if so, how, to change the tint of an object using actionscript. For instance, if one was to select a specific button, the actionscript in that button would tell the object, in this case the background, to change its tint.
I am looking for sliders that let you adjust an MC(or graphic) through the interior hue specturm as well as another slider that will adjust tint level (brightness.)
is it posible to use action script to change tint efect on object. I found only alpha property posible to change.. I nead to put color (100%) tint on instance.. an then using actions change this percents depending on user behaver... (I can do it withaut actions.. but I dont wont to.. (lot of work..)
I have a movicelip that has a cirlce with a gradient fill. When I rollover I use a color transform to change the color. I'm not sure how to get the color transform to return to its original gradient fill once I roll out of the movieclip
var overColor:ColorTransform = new ColorTransform;overColor.color = 0xffcc00; mc1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, buttonOver); function buttonOver(e:MouseEvent):void{ mc1.transform.colorTransform = overColor;}
I used the example of the "Changing Colors Using ActionScript" from your site to add to a rollover state on a movieClip. It works fine but how to I reverse the state when I rollOut. e.g. goes to black on rollOver and then back to its original full color image on rollOut?
I searched and found the code below which works fine to change the color. What do I do to make the color go back to it's original color on mouseout? pedals.buttonMode = true; pedals.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER, changeColor); function changeColor(e:MouseEvent):void { var color_transform:ColorTransform=pedals.transform.co lorTransform; color_transform.color=0x004433; pedals.transform.colorTransform=color_transform; }
I want to know how I'm gonna do a random "tint" or "color" for my movieclip. Do someone know a tutorial for that? Btw, is it possible to make the brightness lighter or darker with actionscript?
I have a few movie clips that change color when they are rolled over and rolled out of which is great and works correctly but now I have add glows to those buttons to serve as borders or a stroke and when you roll over the buttons the color and the filter color changes.
I am making a movie that has to be published to Flash Player 6 and want to set a bunch of movie clips to have the same color. Here is my function:[code]My problem is that I get the error message:"Hexadecimal digits expected after 0x" referring to the 4th line of my function.
I have a movie clip for each piece of clothing that will be used to attach on the dog. These movie clips click and drag to add clothes onto a target and it automatically resets back to its original position each time you grab a different selection of clothing. All of my objects go the original position except for one. The "julyDress" movie clip automatically pops up to the top of the page and does not reset to the original position.
Below is my code: stop(); var startJulyXPos:Number = JulyDress.x; var startJulyYPos:Number = JulyDress.y;
I'm trying to place a displayobject at the bottom of the stage with scale mode set to exact fit. stageHeight returns the actual height in pixels, but the stage scaleY still returns 1.Isn't there a simple way to determine the original height for object placement?
In my application, I have a chart that I want to display in a TitleWindow when clicked on.
var win:TitleWindow = PopUpManager.createPopUp(this, TitleWindow, false) as TitleWindow; win.addChild(myChart); PopUpManager.bringToFront(win);
It does indeed place the chart in the titlewindow that shows up, but it removes the original chart from the parent. Then, when the titlewindow is closed, my chart is simply gone. I can't figure out how to clone the chart -- all the methods I've tried failed
Solution:
public var barChart:BarChart; public function onClick(e:Object):void {
I am trying to use the ColorTransform.color method to retrieve the RGB value of a ColorTransform object, but there's obviously something about it I don't understand. The implementation is:
-public function get color():uint
-public function set color(value:uint):void.
I don't understand how to use this type of function. The functions I am used to only have one word in their name, like getColor() or setColor().I can get a number to return using the color method by doing this: trace (someDisplayObject.transform.colorTransform.color) ; but it is not a good color number.[code]
