ActionScript 2.0 :: Want Enter Key In Inputbox Trigger Button Click

I have a stripped down FLA here: [URL]
where if you click the button, a label saying "Button clicked" will display. This was accomplished using the following actionscript attached to the button...
on(release) {
display._visible =true;
}
Now I want to make it so that when the enter key is pressed in the edit field, the same thing happens.
On the button actionscript, I have used ...
on (keyPress "<Enter>") {
display._visible = true;
}
I am trying to do the simplest of things but just can't quite figure this out. I have a 6 frame website/movie. The first frame is an animation with a 'click to enter' button.with the Actionscript I would use to enable the user to click on the 'click to enter' button and then jump to Frame 2 of the website/movie.
Consider the following mx:Button:<mx:Button click="doSomething()" id="myButton"/>Is there some way to programmatically emulate the user clicking the button?One obvious way to do it would simply be to call doSomething() which would give the same end result as clicking the button. But I'm specifically looking for ways to emulate the click -- that is something along the lines of myButton.click() (if that should have existed).
I have a weird thing going on with my skins. I'm hoping to fix it by doing a workaround that involves triggering the click of a sparks buttonbar button, but I'm not exactly sure how to do that.
I want to be able to trigger a click on the "Upload" button in Uploadify - the reason being I'd like to be able to choose to upload a file from a dropdown menu and hence need to call "Upload" somehow using javascript - unless anyone has another clever idea?

I have a files that is loading and parsing a huge amount of data from a csv file and creating and plotting a graph using the data. All is well if I have the file loaded on the first frame of the movie. But if I pass in the URL by entering the file name in a text input field and clicking a button. The X and Y axis values disappear as do intermittent notes placed above the bar graph. I still see the x and y axis and it's hash marks and the bar graph (shapes) but all of the text is gone.
I want a link to trigger a sound click in flash AS3. I've taken the .play() outside of the function to confirm that it works by itself. What am I missing that will let me call an AS3 function from javascript?

I have a problem and I have potential solution. But I wanted to confirm if there is an easy and simple way to solve my problem.App type:Isometric Game.Problem statement:I am loading images in my flash app and have mouse events attached to them.The images I load are prop images like vehicles, trees, buildings etc., and all of them are transparent.Example: Red ball asset (please ignore the yellow background which I applied to describe the problem)If I click on the actual image area (colored in red), then every thing works perfect.I don't want to trigger mouseevent when I click on empty image part (or transparent area, which I have shown in yellow color)There is one way I know by creating masks in flash. I don't want to do it unless that is the final option left because I load image assets instead of flash assets and I don't want to create a new mask asset for all the assets.There is another method I was going to adopt by using getPixel method of Bitmap.
But there is another problem with this method.I might be able to ignore the click event when I click on the empty part of the asset but if there is some other asset is behind the image in the same location, then I need to process the click event for the occluded image.Well, thinking of solution to this problem takes me to the getObjectsUnderPoint where I can scan the occluded assets
Lets say i have a button on frame 1. And if you press it normal, you ll get to frame 2. But then if you click it on another way, you ll get to frame 3. How do i do that easy?! With another way i mean like shift click or ctrl click or is it an easier way?
I'm creating my first website. I've managed to create a homepage. On the homepage is a enter site button, which once it is pressed starts thetimeline... I have an actions/labels layer which I am writing my code in. On frame number 'one' is my code below.

I know how to autosize the textbox inside it, but the borders around the textInput aren't autosizing so the text is just overwriting it I've attached a screenshot to you you what's happening.
When I assign the variablename to an inputbox an array variable i.e. myArray[3], flash does not recognize it as an array O.o it recognizes it as a string with the variable name myArray[3].
is there anyways I can disable people from highlighting/selection the text inside an Input Box? I have tried the 3 buttons next to the "Single Line" dropdown but none of them work.Is there a as3 code I need to put so people cannot highlight/select the text inside a input box for example in a form?
When I am taking textbox/inputbox component from the library I can disable them as txt_Tno.enabled=false;But when I am clicking on the Text Tool on the left side(drawing) and giving the same instance name and doing it, its not getting disabeld
I have a button (instance is called resbutton) and I would like it to play a specific frame (frame 13) when clicked on. Flash says I cannot add actions to the buttin itself so I made an Actionscript layer and so far just have:

I'm trying to trigger this page turn event without having to click the page. I want it to go based on a timer event, where lets say after 30 seconds it turns the page. Unfortunately this is all in AS2, so I'm having trouble figuring out the correct way to go about doing this. function is called startFlip, and I need it to be enabled at 30 seconds instead of an on press function from the page button I originally had.
