ActionScript 2.0 :: Achieve Getting Image To Load Into Swf Using The Variable?

I have FlashVar sending variables from php to Flash, and that part works fine, flash gets the variable.BUT I have a gallery, that should load an image, and the image path is in the variable. So basically, the part of the URL field in loadMovie should be the variable's value.. That just doesn't work I'm kinda stressed out because I have a really short deadline and I was stupid enough to assume this will be doable.url..Is there any way to achieve getting the image to load into the swf using the variable?

I have an array holding 'image' and 'name' name loops fine and populates a load of movie clips underneath each other... i need for when this name is clicked to load an image in another movie clip (image name comes from the array).. the code i have works but it only pulls throught the last item of the array which points to a problem with 'i' not being carried across the functions..? that is the result of my investigation *smokes pipe*

Is there a way of making a normal loadVars.load load a url depending on a variable you set in the swf?

so that I can set my variable and then load the variables with the propertyID that I choose in the swf??

I developing a site where on the homepage, there are about 6 images that rotate, but if you click on a sub link, a different image loads. But the problem is that, the first image has to cycle through before the second image loads. I want the second image to load immediately.

I have an application that I'm migrating from flex 3 to flex 4.5. In this application, there is some mx Image components that load a simple swf file (image). Spark image doesn't load swf files, so I was wondering, should I keep the mx Image, or should I change it to SWFLoader? Is there any advantages to using one or the other?

Im trying to make a SWF that sends some variables (query string) to ASP. Then the ASPfile is responding with "response.write". Everything works great except i dont know how to get the asp-answer back into flash again.I got a few variables that's added in a movieclip called form, then use this command on the button.in the flash button, (on release)

I want to have an swf load an image file in an image container within the swf from the querystring. 1. In the query string I'd like the extension of the image file to not show:
2. In the swf I might have more then one place where the same howdy.jpg loads, but in different sizes. Which method would keep the aspect ratio of original and resize to fit varying container sizes?
3. I have some javascript parsing code with an swf example that I got from this page. [URL] But when I tried to alter the fla for my use it didn't work. I wasn't able to find 1 line of actionscript in the query.fla.

I cant load an image from a class.I have main.as which calls Classplayer.as Classplayer calls ClassMisiile.I cant load an image from ClassMissile .I can load the image in Classplayer and dont know why the image in ClassMissile doesnt appear and it is spelt right and in the correct directory.I dont get an error and the functions work but no image.

I managed to botch the file up pretty good on my own, and was wondering if there is a ready answer nearby.So I'm thinking have but1, but2 and but3, with a seperate xml file for each. What would you recommend for a smooth way to swap the the xml files to the gallery, and load the first image of the new xml file? Also, can it be done with one big ol' xml file while keeping the galleries seperate? It's not necessary, but could be handy, and save some loading.It would also be interesting to apply the same principle to the resizing script that Scotty has in that big Resizing thread, just a thought.

In as2, we had global variables which were accessible from anywhere within the movie. How can i achieve similar functionality in as3? You see, in my site, after a user logs in, there are several pages, and each of them calls a php script, and i need to pass the user id as a parameter to them! So as soon as the user logs in, I need to store his id in some place, which i can read from any class or subclass within the whole movie! Can you please tell me how to do this? oh and yea, i am new to as3, so please try to be as descriptive as possible!

I can reflect an image in both Photoshop and Illustrator. In Photoshop by flipping either horizontally or vertically.In Illustrator by using the "dedicated" Reflect Tool.Why can I not reflect...or flop an image in FLASH?Is there a way to achieve this function within Flash CS4 or cs5 for that matter?

I want a ball to roll along, and as it does, grass and flowers spring up behind it, in it's wake. I have worked out how to get the rolling ball effect, but don't know how to do the grass springing up. I found some grass and flower symbols in Illustrator which will suit the purpose. I thought of loading them into the deco tool as one possible way, but there might other ways.
