I am embedding the Flash in a html page using CSS to have it align center middle. I think that's where the problem is.

How do I get a sound to play throughout the entire flash site in the background? Go to [URL] and you will see what I mean. Its a great site by the way! In this "crucial limit" site, he has tunes playing in the background, and they keep playing despite how deep you navigate through the site, no matter what button you press, the song continues to play without stopping. Finally I need to jump from frame to frame randomly to play various animations. For example :Project starts, background music starts playing, we hear random sounds played one after the other, while some animations can be seen on screen, playing in a random order.
I see that the background music in my Flash site is located in a symbol called muz When I click the properties of this symbol, the sound file's location is listed as.flashsoundmuz.wav I couldn't find that sound sub-folder in the flash folder nor could I find the file. I tried doing a search to look for the muz.wav file in my computer but it could not be found. Does anyone know how I can find and save this file?

If I hard code the php file with the values listed above, everything works perfectly. But I'm using a php script that checks the directory for images, then provides that output.
Is there a way to change your sites background color by the click of a btn (without using a large mc bg)?
Also this would be on a noscale site.
Like I said in the title. I want to loop my background/a single element, while my people can click on the nav bar and look at stuff on the website.I attached what i was working on. The headphones will be fading in and out between a few different pairs. Mean while I need the nav bar fuctional and not changing besides when they click.

View 4 RepliesI'm building a site that will change the background depending time of day. I do want to show the time in the top of my page. What are good codes for showing a time and date in Flash and what would I use to change background depending on if the time is past 7PM or before.
Example.
If the time is before 7PM I want it to show a background with a clear blue sky. If not then the background will be a starry night. I'm using CS3.
I am trying to create a scrolling or parallex background for my site. This is a pretty popular effect and I cannot find code for it anywhere on the web. The ones I have seen is for AS2, have used the if statement. Also, do I have to create an invisible movieclip that goes over the whole stage so that AS know where x of mouse is?
View 92 RepliesI've created a banner ad (attached) for my company and intended to have it appear as a rectangle with rounded edges (transparent corners). It seems like I need to create a transparent border or mask to have my animated banner appear in this way.
Can I add a mask or a border to the whole thing just to make the rounded corners transparent and see the background colour of the site I'm putting it on?
Note: the corners are currently white. I can't change the colour to match the site background as 1. the banner will be shown in different places, and 2. the background is a gradient.
This is other part to my earlier question that i posted before for those of you that came across it.Part 2: What i'm actually looking for is to do something similar to the Star Trek Movie website [URL]..for those unfamiliar. The bit that im looking for is a solution to achieve the full screen video background they have that simulates the user walking through the starship. Everytime you navigate to a different part of the website, this background video walks you through to another section of the ship.
I'm presuming its all flv, and i'm presuming its one big flv file divided into various "scenes", as the problem with having a seperate flv file for each "scene" is that it take a few seconds to load in between flv's and you get a blank white screen for a few moments (i've tried). Am i presuming the right method to go about achieving what they've done?

I have assembled a preloader using the method from this site, everything seem to work except for one problem My site supposed to start from a black background and the image fading in. However once I placed the preloader the image dose not fade in but appears right away to the full strength after the preloader gone to 100% Looks like it jumps to a few frames after the first frame of the main swf file. Please take a look at [URL] If you reload again you will see how the image fade in.

I have succesfully gotten the "loading a random background" to work. But now I want to try a couple of other things with it.I would like to adjust the size and alpha, which it isn't happening. And I would also like to repeat the the image (which was generated randomly) 4 other times on the page.So far I have place the random image and mask within a movie, and then placed it on the main timeline.That works great, then I am sliding same image from behind the first image to create a total of 5 images on my documento get the other 4 images on the main document have repeated the movie that holds the random image code, but nothing is showing up in the other 4 instances

I have a movie clip placed on the first frame within the main timeline.
- The movie clip contains 4 frames, each frame has a different image.
- I want to display one of these frames at random every time the game loads.
- What script would i need to target a random frame within this movieclip?
- Would this script be placed on the main timeline?
I want to have a background that has random movie clips playing. Originally I was going to have long timelines with blank frames. Is there a simple a frame action that I can use that stops the playhead and makes it wait for certain amount of time and then plays?
View 6 Repliesi have a short swf that has two movie clips that act as holders for thumbnails to get loaded in a random fashion. it works fine when i test my movie, and even when i export the swf. the images load in the placeholder - no problems.when i upload the swf to the website, the thumbnails dont load and the holders stay blank.i experimented locally and moved my .swf file into a folder that didn't contain a folder containing all the thumbnails. this gave the same result as the website (blank holders).when i move the folder containing all the images into this new folder with the swf, the images load in the movie and no blank holders are seen.
easy solution i though, i upload the folder to the website in the same directory as the swf file. did that but the images still dont load. is it that the swf is attempting to read the folder that would be on the local drive and not go for the copy in the same containing folder on the remote area?here is my code,

I've tried 3 different scripts for a random loading image layer and none of them work. Does anyone have code/script for this that will work for Flash 5? I'm totally hung up at this stage and can't move on with the page or site until I have this aspect resolved.
