Im having some trouble finding any info on alternating the font colors in a datagrid component, i can alternate the background colours, but i'd like to alternate the font colors of the rows instead.

Ive been playing around with it and managed to chage the font but only for some of it, but what ever im doing is having a knock on affect with other parts of the site.I have a index page and various other files and folders but dont know if im looking in the correct place.When i look at the libary of contents its not very clear what is what and cant see anything reffrencing the text.
View 1 RepliesI have managed to color the rows of a data grid object separately, however giving them a nice tween effect is proving to be more tricky. I wish to make it so that when a row is edited it turns gray and then fades back to white.When I edit a single row this works fine. But when I edit a second row the tween shows up on both of them. The sprite sent to gridColor is indeed the same independently of which line I am editing (weird imo).(Each element in my dataprovider has two extra values color and color_to so that it knows when to tween. )Managed to solve it by looking at the datagrid source code and playing around. The font I want to use (let's call it FancyFont) is in the library and does have actionscript linkage. It is exported in Frame 1.

how I can manage to give single words inside a DataGrid-CellRenderer a different color than defined by the TextFormat for that CellRenderer? It's not how to get these single words, it's how to use more than one color inside one cell...

View 5 RepliesI'm trying to embed a font in my project by using url("font.ttf") rather than local("Font Name"), but it doesn't seem to pick it up. The font in question is called "Gotham Bold". When i view the details of the font, the font weight is regular, however when i use local("Gotham Bold") in the css i have to specify fontWeight: bold or else it wont pick it up. But when I use url("folderGotham-Bold.ttf"), and specify fontWeight: bold, it says that font weight is not found for that TTF. If i remove the fontweight, there's no errors, but the font is not applied to the text.

how i can display something else for users who do not have flash?
I was recently testing the Amazon MP3 Widget on my site. It was not appearing and I realized it was being blocked by my ad blocker plug-in that prevents cross site flash objects. I want to know if there is a way to tell people that they are missing this content. It seems like the ad blocker simply removes any embed code. What can I do to tell people they might be missing something they actually want to see. I'm hoping there's something similar to the no script tag, but I'm assuming its more than that.
View 1 Repliesi've many things on the stage and if any one is selected, it jumps to the next frame. here, very first it reads some data for the selected object and goes ahead. i was thinking it could be done by include command.in the first frame, i would make a variable and assign it a value (current selected object) and in the next frame i would write something like this.

but i believe as3 does not support that.
I have 5 image segments on a single PNG file. I am trying to get each of the 5 segments to "fly in" left and right and be revealed inside of a mask. It works, BUT only if I refer to a very old tutorial using onClipEvent, where the ActionScript is placed on the image's MC instance name (messy!). For some reason, I can only get this to work if I publish in Flash 6. Using ActionScript 2.0, I am trying to publish this as a version 8 SWF. Not sure what is deprecated, but onClipEvent seems suspect. I have tried (and failed) using onEnterFrame. The buttons no longer get that PNG to move left and right. It might be easier to see it, than explain what I have going on...

I have recently started a new project, again and hit a stump. Im trying to make a mini game where you have to press two alternating buttons (x and z) to increment the bar. Now i started it, but it failed as pressing any button really fast incremented the bar. i used a _root.onEnterFrame = function() { code, but im having troubles. So what i want to do is have the user press the x button, and then have to press the y button and the bar increases and they have to do this rapidly.
