I have a center window and a background in my flash file. I am trying to get the center window to stay in the center of the web browser screen and get the background to expand and fill the entire web browser screen below center window layer. Sort of like this site [URL] I've currently converted the background to a movie clip and have this code.

I am working on a FLASH website that loads 3 flash movies (header, content and menu). The menu movie is displayed at the bottom. I am looking for a way to display the menu always at the bottom of the browser window (the visible bottom). This way, if the screen resolution of the user is too small, the user won't have to scroll to see the menu. I know it can be done. On this page, you can see that the copyright character is always displayed the bottom right of the browser window.[URL]

- When you click on a link in the bottom menu bar of my site, the new page opens at the bottom of that page (instead of the top).
As you can see (from the action script at the bottom of this post ), it's basically just turning on and off the visibility of the pages. So when you click on the Ethnography button, it makes that page visible and the page that you were on, not visible.
So when the button being clicked (the Ethnography button) makes the Ethnography page visible, the page location stays in the same place (aka - the bottom of the page). Is there a quick action script statement that I can add to the EventListener for the button that will tell it to open the new page at the top of the page?
Something like: window.scrollTo(0,0) ?

Why does the paintbrush tool change sizes when zooming in and out? It's so annoying. Is there a way to fix this? Btw I use version CS4. Does it happen to all the other tools? I tried them it seems not but I can't tell unless it's a big difference in brush size like the paintbrush tool.

I am trying to build a flash that auto-adjust its size to the browser window size, while leaving the content of the flash itself top-centered in the screen.I have found this solution [URL].. on How to keep centered stuff in this exact case so i am pretty confident i will be able to adjust that script to do what i want.
Now my problem is that if i put my content inside the movie-clip (centerrectangle) with all the animation require, link and other stuff, the movieclip (center rectangle ) never have the exact same center, thus making the script go wild trying to always adjust the location to the variable size of the movie clip.

how to horizontally center my Flash movie in the web browser window after publishing?
A bit of background: I was able to achieve this using <center></center> tags a few years ago. But I have since upgraded to CS5 and I understand that this old method is now obsolete.
I have found a few threads/forums that address this, but I know nothing about HTML and these threads don't help me because they assume you have more knowledge than I possess. When opening up the index.html file in Dreamweaver I can't find anything that looks vaguely familiar to what is being discussed. I have found some code samples using <div></div> tags but have no idea where to place it.
So I will need it explained to me in a step by step fashion, including which file I need to fix and what program I should use. Code samples will be very welcome if you can tell me exactly where it goes.

I have a flash website that takes up 100% of the browser, I want it so that when I resize the browser, even to its smallest size, I need the flash content to be perfectly centered. Ive researched quite a bit and ran into the "Stage.align" property but when I use it it gives me an undefined error. How to use this properly?

I'm trying to open a new browser window with center positioning and a size of w=725 and height=600 with a scrollbar. I'd like to be able to click the button from the flash site and open another site in this window. What is the best way to do this using AS2? I found this script on the adobe site but haven't been able to get it to work with the on (press):
var jscommand:String = "window.open('http://www.adobe.com','win','height=200,width=300,toolbar =no,scrollbars=yes');"; getURL("javascript:" + jscommand + " void(0);");
But also this doesn't address the position on the screen where the window opens. In the AS1 it seem to work ok with something like openWinCentre.

Can I get the obtain the size of the browser window in AS3?The best method I've found is to get the size with Javascript and send it to Flash as a FlashVar. One limitation of this method is that it doesn't give the current size if the window is resized.Is there a pure Flash way to do this?

I have some floating window that opens above my page. The problem is that I don't want buttons above to be trigerable. I tried to put an movieclip on bottom layer of floating window and tell him not to show hand cursor, but it looks as if my floating window is transparent. I could still push buttons below and cursor would change into hand. [URL] go to button "ostalo" and click any of galleries. Then go over reed floating window and you'll notice that you can push buttons underneath.

I have a flash movie which covers 100% of the browser window, so the user can scale it as he wants by resizing the browser.
I need a way to find the coordinates to the upper left and lower right of this window in pixels, it sounds simple, but no luck.

Im trying to make a button to open a link, in a new window, at a fixed size and without toolbars etc.
Ive searched these forums and looked for variuos guides, but to no avail. I cant get them to work =(. I found a guide(which I cant find again o0) on Kirupa but it didnt work either.
heres what I came up with:
code1:
Code:
on (release) {
getURL("http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/5747/screenie8ya.jpg", "_blank");
[Code]....
how to get these to work? or a guide on one that works? or simply a script that will work?

I have a website and it is set to 100% of the browser window. Everything in the browser is left aligned. I have a script that when u has an event listener on the RESIZE so that everything will be centered when u adjust the window. What my problem is that right when the page loads the swf is left aligned. I want the stuff to be already centered but the only way to do that is to adjust the browser window. Heres my site: My Example Watch that when it loads its all to the left. Resize the browser and everything will snap to the middle.
