- When you click on a link in the bottom menu bar of my site, the new page opens at the bottom of that page (instead of the top).
As you can see (from the action script at the bottom of this post ), it's basically just turning on and off the visibility of the pages. So when you click on the Ethnography button, it makes that page visible and the page that you were on, not visible.
So when the button being clicked (the Ethnography button) makes the Ethnography page visible, the page location stays in the same place (aka - the bottom of the page). Is there a quick action script statement that I can add to the EventListener for the button that will tell it to open the new page at the top of the page?
I'm building a Flash website and have a question which should be really easy to answer.

I want to put a movieclip with tools at the bottom of the window in the center with tools icons, it should have fixed posiiton so that user can scroll the main window having it always on prompt. I think I need the browser window size properties to do somenthing as this. Is there a way to get them?
I am working on a FLASH website that loads 3 flash movies (header, content and menu). The menu movie is displayed at the bottom. I am looking for a way to display the menu always at the bottom of the browser window (the visible bottom). This way, if the screen resolution of the user is too small, the user won't have to scroll to see the menu. I know it can be done. On this page, you can see that the copyright character is always displayed the bottom right of the browser window.[URL]
I am building a website for a client in Flash. (horrible idea I know; they insisted)I am a novice in actionscript, and I can't figure out how to keep a bottom nav bar, that is a movieclip, above the bottom of the browser window so that it doesn't disappear.
I have an animated logo swf file that loads and runs once on the home page every time the page loads. The logo has been updated to appear in three different colour schemes. I want one scheme to load and when the page is refreshed or revisited, one of the other colour schemes to load in its place. They can appear in any random order, just a different one to the one that played before reloading. Can someone point me to an answer or tell me how to do it? I have found a way in JavaScript but this only works on plain images, not swf files.
I have made a Flasch website with long pages. I look for a possibility to jump from the bottom of the page to the top of the next page (is in the next frame).
When I make a button "preview frame" on the bottom of the page, the page change into the next page, but at the bottum of that page.
Here is the current code that is attached to the button
[code]...
Now what I am having an issue with is the gallary section is to small as it loads into the bottom of my movie (_parent). What I have decided to do is stop this process all together and have it go to a new url in a new window. Which is basic for you guys. If I take out the code under the on (release) section is it just a matter of a gotourl to get the page to open. The website is www.daemondesigns.com and originally was purchased as a template and so far have been able to put in all the new graphics and make text changes correctly with a few minor adjustments still needed. Ive got a book on actionscript 3.0 that I am just starting to make my way through but have a deadline that I may not make for this new gallery.
I'm making a flex 3.5a/air2 application and I've made a popup window but I can't seem to get its bottom corners rounded. Setting cornerRadius seems to only affect the top corners. There doesn't seem to be a roundedBottomCorners property like there is for panels, and adding a controlbar with a cornerRadius also has no effect.
Ive got my flash movie set to 100% width & height, while the stage is set to no scale. Is it possible for me to align an mc to the bottom regardless their window size? Just to clarify if firefox is larger than the stage, can i align this mc ( like a footer ) to the bottom of the ussers screen.
i have a flash site that links to PDF's with the navigateToURL function which works etc But now i would like Link to rather open up a download window instead of just a new browser window?
So i'm trying to align a navigation to the bottom of the browser.
and this is whats happening...The NAV clip is aligning to something, but it's not working right. I want it to be 25 pixels from the bottom at all times, no matter what size the browser is...
Here is the code and the .fla
Code: fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); Stage.scaleMode = "noScale"; var myListener:Object = new Object();
The problem that i'm having is that when the timeline gets to the point where the slider is used the fscommand("allowscale", false); takes over the original fscommand used for the nav. I need to use both, as the slider only seems to work properly with that code, and likewise with the bottom aligned navigation.
How can i get around this? I want to align my navigation to the bottom of the browser at all times, yet have my slider be relevant to the browser when it's being used.
Is there another way to align the nav to the bottom of the browser? Maybe and onEnterframe();?
I have a full flash site that I export and place into an html at a 100%. My original flash file size is 1024*768. Basically, it's a background movieclip with things happening into it and above this background, a bottom bar with my menu. I wish to have this bottom bar always stuck to the bottom. I tried this code :
But it's not working well, as sometimes, my bar is in the middle of the page or not even visible depending on the resolutions. How can I manage to do this?
i've made a flash movie in res 600 * 300, now i want to keep this res don't want the user to be able to expand the browser window or change the res or anything how do i do this?
Trying to detect a browser close event and send some data to the database when the user closes the browser window...but can't seem to get it to work.[code]
I am using the loadVariable method of the MovieClip class to load some data. I have a question about the "transfering data from domain" message I see at the bottom of firefox for a page that has this swf loaded in. The load variables call obviously complete very quickly (the output is just h=1&d=1, or something as short as that) but the transfering data remains the entire time the page is in the browser (like half an hour later, etc).
I have 2 SWFs, one at the top of an HTML page and one at the bottom. I would like the bottom SWF to remain stopped until the viewer has scrolled far enough to actually see it.
I have looked around for this and haven't found a way that clearly explains how to do this. More often than not the button will close the browser window in one but not another browser.
Is the a simple way of closing a browser window in all types of browser ( Or mainly Firefox, IE and safari on both Mac and PC ) with actionscript?
