So i'm trying to align a navigation to the bottom of the browser.
and this is whats happening...The NAV clip is aligning to something, but it's not working right. I want it to be 25 pixels from the bottom at all times, no matter what size the browser is...

I'm using this code for aligning a navigation to the bottom of my browser.

The problem that i'm having is that when the timeline gets to the point where the slider is used the fscommand("allowscale", false); takes over the original fscommand used for the nav. I need to use both, as the slider only seems to work properly with that code, and likewise with the bottom aligned navigation.
How can i get around this? I want to align my navigation to the bottom of the browser at all times, yet have my slider be relevant to the browser when it's being used.
Is there another way to align the nav to the bottom of the browser? Maybe and onEnterframe();?
I have a swf and a html with that swf aligned in the midlle. In the swf there is a bar that i need to allign to the top of the browser window. Is there a way of detecting or aligning and resizing flash content depending on the browser size from within itself?

I have a series of move clips of different heights which are all added to the stage dynamically via XML. When they are all added, I want to then align them - does flash provide a method for doing this with code? Or is the only way to do it to detect their heights and adjust them by the height difference?

Trying to make a custom scroller which works but the odd thing is that when i drag the scroller to the bottom, the content scrolls the opposite way. So when the scroller is at its start point,the content is at its end point and when i scroll it to the end point the content reverses to the start point. Here is what I'm using

I am working on a FLASH website that loads 3 flash movies (header, content and menu). The menu movie is displayed at the bottom. I am looking for a way to display the menu always at the bottom of the browser window (the visible bottom). This way, if the screen resolution of the user is too small, the user won't have to scroll to see the menu. I know it can be done. On this page, you can see that the copyright character is always displayed the bottom right of the browser window.[URL]

Is there a quick action script statement that I can add to the EventListener for the button that will tell it to open the new page at the top of the page?

I am using the loadVariable method of the MovieClip class to load some data. I have a question about the "transfering data from domain" message I see at the bottom of firefox for a page that has this swf loaded in. The load variables call obviously complete very quickly (the output is just h=1&d=1, or something as short as that) but the transfering data remains the entire time the page is in the browser (like half an hour later, etc).

In the code are other things ( Stage.scaleMode = "NoScale" , listener an etc.) I have a problem, the picture is big. I publish the fla to html and I looked in it... in the browser the bottom of the picture cropped. Is there a possibility that the browser show me the rest of the background with a scrollbar. I have a widescreen laptop and I want to optimize for that.

I want my background to occupy 100% of the browser window and have the content to be centered.
Is there a much simpler way to do that without having to do it in a framework?
I am putting together a fairly simple website for a Client, quick animation intro and a navigation menu all built with Flash CS4. Works in every browser except IE. I have downloaded the newest Flash Player but it still doesn't work. Actually, it lets me hear the sound of the animation, and I can even see the cursor turn into a finger as it scrolls over the links of the Flash content, but I cannot see the Flash content. View 2 RepliesI have flash content online that is 1024x800 px but need it to resize/scale dynamically if the browser window is resized or someone with a browser height of less than 800 visits the website.
Been looking at stage.resize and event.resize but can't figure them out. Also have looked at swfobject and swffit (not actionscript I know) and can resize my content to a specific size using swfobject but not dynamically.
How do I centre my Flash content horizontally in the browser window? In the Publish Settings I see there are options to align the HTML to Default, Left, Right, Top and Bottom, but no Center. Is there a setting somewhere else? Do I need to write some ActionScript to do this? (If so, what?)

This swf file (attached) will load the xml content (rss) when I Publish Preview it in Flash CS3 (AS2), but not in the browser. This is an aggravating problem and think that it may be flash stopping it from accessing the content but frankly I have no clue.
View 7 RepliesI have been trying to figure out the best way to load content into a container on an .php page which has three different .swfs already loaded - one is an mp3 player which I do not want to stop playing (this will obviously happen on a page refresh). The objective is to keep a flash menu for navigation given it's nice animation capabilities, but load page content into a container underneath. There are JavaScript files out there that work in conjunction with php (ajax) to accomplish this, but once I throw flash into the mix everything goes sideways. I know you can include js with the ExternalInterface.call function, but this only solves the js portion not the php bit.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to create a website that will full scale the browser window with all the flash elements inside but I am having trouble deciding what resolution to design in and how to lock certain content to not scale.
I am trying to achieve the effect that will consist of a high resolution image as the background for each section of the website that will full screen. Content such as logo and footer etc should always remain locked. An example of this can be found at http:[url]..... If you shrink the browser window all content stays centralised and the top and bottom footer do not scale, although the central part of the site does change. I was wondering how this effect was achieved? How does some content remain locked and others scale. I really can not figure out what dimension size to design in and achieve the high res image effect for the site. I too will require a top and bottom footer.how that site was published and constructed that would be brilliant.At present I am playing around with the following code:
