ActionScript 2.0 :: Content Reverse And Disappear When Another Button Is Clicked?

I am new to action script, please help! I have three buttons and when you click on them, new content appears. However, I'd like to make it so that when you click on a button, the content on the screen will reverse itself, disappear, and the new content for that button would appear. I don't know how to do this with action script? What kind of action script could I use?

When you click on a button it loads the movie clip that is on the main timeline. What I want to be able to do is when you click on another button the movie clip that you are on reverses and the new movie clip loads up.

I need to make a series of 35 buttons that display an image when clicked. I'm still learning how to use Flash... and am still struggling on one thing. It may seem simple to the most of you -- how exactly do you have the content displayed once you click the button? I'm attempting to have the content for each navigation link button to show up each time it's clicked. Still a failure.

I have an animation that shows items highlighted in a diagram. As the items are highlighted, the audio will play (to explain the animation). because we are creating this for people with possible disabilities, we also created captions with text for the audio. So, in separate layers, we created speech bubbles and text that is synchronized to the animated actions on the screen. this will also be synchronized with the audio. We want to have a button (close captioning button) that when users press it, they see the text captions and if they press it again, they don't see the text captions. my questions are
1) what will be the easiest way to create the effect i am looking for?
2) what actionscript command will i need for the button's actions?

i have a menu, that works with a xml file.the xml has the specific code that triggers the .as file:[code]when i press the button home for example, the home will load...then i press the button about, and it loads as well, but the home still playing on the back.how do i make the content for home to disapear when another button is clicked? because the code works for all the buttons, it has to be something generic that would work for the event of anybutton being clicked.

I want to create a flash site where I have a long horizontal movie clip split into about five sections, each about 960px wide. The effect I want to achieve is when the user clicks on the button it will scroll horizontally to the specific section of the flash project. For example, if your on the home page and you click on the contact the movieclip will tween to the right until it reached the contact section of the long movieclip. And I also want it where if the user clicks on the home it'll scroll back to the home page. I can't seem to accomplish. I tried positioning with the x property and move right so many pixels. I'm thinking about setting like some coordinates or some kinds of reference points so when the button is clicked it will go to those specific points in the stage.

I'm using Mac Chrome 8.0.552.237 It seems like whenever I embed flash content in html and open it in chrome when my flash content requests camera access and i need to click "allow" button in the dialog it never recognizes the click. It works fine in firefox. I just simply can't understand why it wont work in chrome. I use swfobject, and i used [URL] to make the html code just to make sure i wasn't making any mistakes.

I have just started using flash. I needed to do this presentation for a client. In one scene I have provided him with a photo-gallery, where some 30 photos are placed randomly ...when playing the movie (published as projector) user will click any photo to watch it. For this I have used swapdepth so that photo, user clicks comes to front. Also applied drag to all these photos.
My code look something like this:

} on (press, release, dragOver, dragOut) {

For doing this first I converted the photo to button ...then converted this button to a movie clip and gave a instance name to this. Then I went into the movie clip and applied the above code to the button placed inside the movie. Applying all this to all photos I placed them randomly on timeline. The problem is : code is working fine, it is dragging photos, bringing them to front etc. But I have user to go back and play another scene to continue the presentation. Problem starts here, the last photo clicked by user remains there, even though it is not present in that scene.

I have 4 navigation button and like home, about us etc.... And i want to disable home when it is click and cannot clicked it until the user click another button first. means if a visitor is at home page then home navigation is disabled, and all other are active, and when they click at aboutus button then the pages goes to the about us page and the about us button is disabled and other get active. I want this solution in AS3 with oop concept.

I've got about 6 buttons laid out, one on top of the other in a list format. In their normal state the buttons are grey in colour, when I rollover them, the buttons flash and turn to orange. Now, what I need to happen is this: I want the buttons to stay orange once clicked and only roll out back to grey when the user has clicked on another button in the list. I've been told that the best way to do this is via adding a listener, however I am a little unsure as to how to go about this. I've checked the flash help file and have a basic understanding of how listeners work...but can't really wrap my head around applying it to this situation. Perhaps I will need to have all the buttons as separate broadcasters?

The rollover and rollout animations play flawlessly, but I'm at a loss as to how to give each button a sticky "active" state. So I have this mc: this.slidingMenu it's a mc of a ring shaped menu, which turn around when 2 button get clicked. When the button on the right, mc goes forward until stop(), when the button on the left mc goes reverse until the stop(). In the first case i use gotoanplay, and everything goes fine. I'm have made some buttons (movie clip) and when I click on it, I want a file (home.swf) to load in a loader (mx.contents.loader) and I want the other buttons to do the same, all load into the same loader. I have no Idea how to do that. The way I have it set up now, the home.swf will load over the entire screen and that is not what I want. I just want the content to load into the loader and have its content change once I click on the other buttons. Here is a copy and past of that I have at the moment, I'm using Flash 8 to do it all.

Been struggling to find a tutorial/code thats more recent than Flash 5. Im working in CS3 on the Mac and the tutorials ive found thus far havent worked...

I'm trying to make a site with a photogallery that has sliding thumbs in the bottom corner ("slidingOut_mc"). I've got them sliding from right to left with a simple tween that is infinite. The problem is that I have a left arrow and right arrow that I want to slide the thumbs in reverse (left arrow i.e. "back_btn") or at double speed (right arrow i.e. "forward_btn") on a roll over of the button.I used the ENTER_FRAME thing to get the mc to reverse with prevFrame when rolling over the "back_btn" but I can't get it to stop when I roll out.

That's the part that seems to work. I've tried to make a roll_out function in a few way but none work. I feel like I must need a removeEventListener event but I figure out the code with out being an error. Here was my best attempt at the roll out button.

I have 4 buttons on the stage. Each button controls associated MCs. When the button is clicked, the MCs fade to invisible (alpha). Now I want them to fade back in when the buttons are clicked again. Is there a way to get them to play in reverse or would you suggest that I do all of the fading tweens dynamically instead of in the MCs timeline? By the way, there is a stop command at the end of each MC.

All it is is an swf that has balloons randomly moving upward. Each balloon is a movie clip that has another "button" movie clip inside of it.As you click on each balloon, the balloon pops and then recreates itself.The only problem is that the button inside the balloon is not acting like a button the entire time. The upward movement is being called through an enterFrame event listener and the use of the button goes in and out as the balloon moves upward. It's a pain because you have to click the balloon multiple times in order to get the balloon to pop. Does anyone know why this is or if there is an alternative to enterFrame? You can currently view the game here to see what I mean. You'll notice the balloons aren't always clickable. You can download the FLA here.

Actionscript 3 ---- Looking to have a movie clip and 2 buttons. Click the right button to make the movie clip go to the right, left button to make it go left (play backwards in the timeline) Currently the movie clip is set up as a 90 frame animation that moves across the stage on a motion tween. The right button just makes the movie clip play, so I'm looking to make my left button play that timeline in reverse. I've found lots of examples for AS2 online, but none for AS3......

I have a image gallery where you can click a foward button or a backwards one. I have each image on every 15th frame. So when the person clicks the next button it plays from 1-15 where it stops if they click back it will go to 15-1 etc. I got it working with the 2 images so I can go between them but when I add a third it won't do anything. I execpt it's something to do with removing the event listener, but I'm not sure.

I am not sure if i am going at this the right way but here goes...i have a set of 5 images and im doing a simple tween animation where they scroll to the right and loop seamlessly. now i want the animation to go in reverse (left) if i mouse over a button. the animation and code work perfect but once it reaches the end of the timeline (in reverse) it stops and if i put a gotoAndPlay on that frame, flash freaks out and crashes. here is my code for the reverse button:
