I want to create chromeless windows in flash and I've already read through chromeless pop-up window tutorial but I still couldn't get it. What do I have to name the page tht is to be pop-up? Also should the html in tht page should put between the <head> tags or after it?

I pasted the script two times, added the correct addresses and now one button is launching the page behind the other button and the other button isn't working

I need a pop up full screen window as I've designed the whole site with the full screen in mind and if I can't get a pop up, I got to redo everything!! I redid it twice and I'm not going to try the third!! OMG!! Anyone has alternative solutions for this? Or anyone has another version of the chromeless script that works with SP1 and SP2?
View 1 RepliesI have a flex application (.swf) and want to create a projector file. When I choose File-> create projector I get the .app file because I work on a Mac. I know I can create both projector formats for windows and mac using the export feature in Flash Professional. But this is not an option since it's Flex.Is there any other way rather than switching to windows to create the file?

I have implemented chromeless player and so far the necessary controls such as play, pause, change video, mute, unmute all appear to work fine through JavaScript. I now need to send the chromeless player to "Full Screen" mode via JavaScript.
The JavaScript API player includes the full screen button but the chromeless player does NOT; infact; the chromeless player is not supposed to contain ANY button. I therefore need to set full screen mode via JavaScript but could not find any documented method for this.

View 3 RepliesI am working on a short animated story, which has a scrubbable timeline and chapter headings. I used TimelineMax for sequencing it. For the most part, it is working fine. I am seeing some strange behavior that pop up, though: sprites disappear, functions stop responding to user input, seams of the sprites become transparent -- all small issues but pretty hard to nail down because they happen in Mac only.
So I am wondering what is wrong with Flash, and why it misbehaves on a Mac?

1. how do i control the size of the "close" button on the top right, and the position (also the minimize button's size and position)? i am trying to use a jpeg that is 80x30, but it is getting smooshed into what looks to be 25x25 pixels. how can i fix this to use whatever size image i want (could i also use an embedded flash file?).
2. how would i make the window's components shift to the bottom of the window (i.e., see www.microbians.com to see what i mean about this part)?
We'd like to have an app autorun when our clients put in our info CD. Is it possible to do this using Adobe AIR... We were thinking of using the Flash Projector cause it compiles to an .exe which is easily launched, but there's no way to get rid of the ugly window chrome is there?

I'm having an issue with the PDF displaying outside the viewable area of the mx:HTML control in Flex. When the application starts up - the mx:HTML is set to a certain size, but can be enlarged if the application is maximized. I'm running ant to compile a Flex application, and the build keeps failing when running it on a windows command line. Other people in my team can successfully run the very same build under mac and linux. This is the error shown in the command prompt:

All tokens are set in corresponding build.properties and filter .properties files (and, as I said before, it compiles perfectly under mac and linux). The windows version is 7 Ultimate, FLEX_HOME is set as an environment variable to the Flex SDK 3.5 (the 3.5.0.12683 build that comes with Adobe Flash Builder Burrito). ${compiler.fork} is set to false, to avoid an issue with the SDK and the source files being in different logic drives.
I'm using Flex in Flash Player 10 on Windows, using FileReference to load a file into memory, as below.My issue is that when a file is locked by Windows, my FileReference is not giving me any feedback that the file is inaccessible--it simply never dispatches any events after my calling load().Does anyone have insight into how to tell that Flash Player is unable to open the file?

Recently I have made a simple flash application that utilizes a webcam feed and an embedded chromeless youtube player within it. I now need to make custom controls around the player but would like to be able to do that in html/css and control it with js/jquery. While I can find material helping me control the chromeless player directly ( as in solo embedded and not part of another flash app ). My question is that since the chromless player is embedded INSIDE of another flash app ( say test.swf ) can I still access the player in there from js?

I am familiar with flex and am hoping that i be able to use it for the application. But i can not figure out a way to play the file in flex. I have been able to play the file only in windows media player and that required the installation of three codecs : Mp4Audio.ax, Mp4Video.ax, Mp4Src.ax.
As i see it, it will be very convenient if i could embed a windows media player plugin in flex or i could specify the audio and video codecs in the flash player
